Background and Aims:We asked if comprehensive bile acid profiling could provide insights into the physiopathology of ABCB4-mutated patients and evaluated the prognostic value of taurine-conjugated tetrahydroxylated bile acid(tauro-THBA)in ***:Serum bile acid profiles were evaluated in 13 ABCB4-mutated patients with 65 healthy controls by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/multiple-reaction monitoring-mass spectrometry(UPLC/MRM-MS).The concentration of tauro-THBA was compared between ABCB4-mutated patients with different *** areas under the curve(AUCs)of tauro-THBA were compared between ABCB11-mutated patients with native liver survival and those who died or underwent liver transplantation before 3 years of age by receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC),with another patient cohort for further ***:The overall hydrophobicity indices of bile acids in ABCB4-mutated patients(12.99±3.25 m)were significantly lower than those of healthy controls(14.02±1.74 m,p80%and specificity of 87.5%for ABCB11-mutated patients with different prognoses(p=0.0192).Of the 15 patients with good prognosis,14 were classified correctly and four of the five patients with a poor prognosis were classified correctly(14:15 vs.1:5,p=0.005)with tauro-THBA as a ***:Tauro-THBA concentration may be a biomarker for predicting the clinical outcome in low gammaglutamyl transferase intrahepatic cholestasis patients.

A population level study on smoking and radon induced adenocarcinomaand small-cell carcinoma among males and females in Canada

Objective: To assess if there is a relationship between residential radon exposure and two lung cancer histologicaltypes, small-cell carcinoma (diagnosed in people with a smoking history) and adenocarcinoma (the mostcommonly diagnosed histologic type in people who have never smoked) among males and females in ***: With survey data of long-term radon measurements in residential homes, long-term averaged tobaccoconsumption rates in the units of cigarettes per day per person and long-term averaged age-standardized lungcancer incidence rates at provincial level, simple linear fitting (ANOVA linear regression) was applied in this studyto determine the effect on lung cancer induction by smoking and exposure to indoor radon, and to assess if there isa relationship between residential radon exposure and lung cancer histological ***: Lung cancer incidence rates correlate very well with the tobacco consumption rates (P 83). Influence of morphology of hollow silica-alumina composite spheres on their activity for hydrolytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane

Hollow silica-alumina composite spheres were prepared by a polystyrene(PS)template method using various amounts of PS *** hollow spheres prepared using 40 g were found to be with a diameter of about 300 nm in scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy demonstrated their hollow sphere *** the nitrogen adsorption isotherm results,the homogeneous hollow spheres prepared using 40 g of the PS suspension were found to be an ordered pore *** activities of the hollow spheres prepared using various amounts of the PS suspension for hydrolytic dehydrogenation of ammonia borane were *** results showed that 10,7,and 6 mL of hydrogen were evolved from the aqueous ammonia borane solution in about 40 min in the presence of the hollow spheres prepared using 40,80,and 120 g of PS suspension,*** homogeneous hollow spheres with an ordered pore structure showed the highest activity among all the hollow *** amount of acid sites and the coordination number of aluminum active species were characterized using neutralization titration and solid-state ^(27)Al magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance *** homogeneous hollow spheres with an ordered pore structure had high amount of acid sites and 4-coordinated aluminum *** relative proportion of 4-coordinated aluminum species was related to the dispersion of aluminum *** results indicate that the homogeneous hollow spheres with an ordered pore structure showed the high activity because of high amount of acid sites induced by the highly dispersed aluminum species.

As semiconductor devices shrink and their manufacturing processes advance,accurately measuring in-cell critical dimensions(CD)becomes increasingly *** test element group(TEG)measurements are becoming inadequate for representing the fine,repetitive patterns in cell *** non-destructive metrology technologies like optical critical dimension(OCD)are limited due to their large spot diameter of approximately 25μm,which impedes their efficacy for detailed in-cell structural ***,there is a pressing need for small-spot and non-destructive metrology *** address this limitation,we demonstrate a microsphere-assisted hyperspectral imaging(MAHSI)system,specifically designed for small spot optical metrology with *** microsphere-assisted super-resolution imaging,this system achieves an optical resolution of 66 nm within a field of view of 5.6μm×5.6μ*** approach effectively breaks the diffraction limit,significantly enhancing the magnification of the *** MAHSI system incorporating hyperspectral imaging with a wavelength range of 400–790 nm,enables the capture of the reflection spectrum at each camera *** achieved pixel resolution,which is equivalent to the measuring spot size,is 14.4 nm/pixel and the magnification is *** MAHSI system enables measurement of local uniformity in critical areas like corners and edges of DRAM cell blocks,areas previously challenging to inspect with conventional OCD *** our knowledge,this approach represents the first global implementation of microsphere-assisted hyperspectral imaging to address the metrology challenges in complex 3D structures of semiconductor devices.
