A novel 50 kW fast charger was proposed for electric vehicles. The proposed fast charger is divided into two main sections an AC-DC converter performing a PFC function and a DC-DC converter performing a charging function. A transformer including leakage inductances was used in the AC-DC converter in order to obtain isolation and inductance. A series-connection topology was used in the DC-DC converter between the DC-bus and outlet. This topology enables high power conversion efficiency up to 95% for the DC-DC converter. In order to reduce the impact of the 50 kW charging on the AC grid, the proposed fast charger system includes a buffering battery unit between the two main power conversion units. This leads to reductions in the power installation costs of power companies and to improvements in the power quality were verified through simulations and experimental results. on the AC grid. This study presents a benchmark evaluation of the new ENDF/B-VIII.0 nuclear data library for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development/Nuclear Energy Agency Medium 1000 MWth sodium-cooled fast reactor(SFR).The study presented herein covers both SFR core types,i.e.,metallic fueled(MET-1000)and oxide fueled(MOX-1000),simulated using the continuous-energy Monte Carlo Serpent2 *** neutronics performances of the ENDF/B-VIII.0-based simulations were compared mainly to two libraries:ENDF/B-VII.1 and *** comparison includes several neutronics parameters evaluated for the beginning and end of the cycle *** parameters include the effective multiplication factor keff,total effective delayed neutron fraction beff,sodium void reactivity(DqNa),Doppler constant(DqDoppler),and control rod worth(DqCR).In addition,a sensitivity study was used to reveal the major isotope/reaction pairs contributing to the discrepancy observed in the performance of the three libraries using 33 and 44-energy-group structures.

A new type of surface flashover switch, suitable for multiplex pulse generation, is studied. The switch is composed of several parallel rail gaps （PRGs）. Each multistage PRG is composed of several serial subgroup gaps （SSG） formed by intermediate electrodes. The trigger electrode of the switch is a common electrode isolated from the main discharge circuit and located parallel to the central line of PRGs. The multistage scheme of PRG is helpful to multi-channel discharge. The switch has some advantages, such as a low jitter, low conduct inductance and short switching time. These advantages and the multiplex scheme make the switch suitable for short frontal rising time pulse formation and accurate synchronization for a multi-module parallel operation device. In a primary test, the jitter of the switch is about 3.3 ns. It has been applied in a linear transformer device successfully.

It is common that the anisotropy of rolling plate does not affect the fatigue crack propagation paths. Thus, when CCT-specimens of rolled plate with any rolling direction are applied by tensile fatigue load, the cracks propagate to mode Ⅰdirection. However, in case of CCT specimens of pure aluminum sheets A100P with rolling direction 30 degrees towards loading direction, the fatigue crack does not grow to mode Ⅰdirection but to rolling direction as a mixed mode Ⅰ-Ⅱcrack [1]. In order to understand the behavior of this anisotropy affected fatigue crack and improve the previous estimation technique [2, 3], basic experimental data was obtained from fatigue test using no-holed CCT-specimens with 30 degrees of rolling direction. The stress intensity factors and energy release rates were calculated using two-dimensional finite element analysis. Based on the basic experimental results, the anisotropy affected cracks were simulated as follow: 1) an initial mode Ⅰcrack grows in the direction with maximum energy release rate and the crack starts to gradually change its direction to rolling direction in the certain value of mode Ⅰstress intensity factor;2) On rolling direction, the crack continues to propagate to rolling direction in the certain value of total stress intensity factor and the ratio of mode Ⅱand mode Ⅰenergy release rate, GⅡ/GⅠis higher than 2.0;and 3) The crack change the direction from rolling direction to mode Ⅰdirection, when maximum mode Ⅱstress intensity factor is reached. This purposed method can predict crack propagation paths in no-hole specimens and 6-type holed specimens with 0, 30, 45 and 60 degrees of rolling direction. The simulation results were confirmed well to be coincided with experimental results.
