The demand for photodetectors and image sensors has grown exponentially in the past decade in biomedical, security surveillance, robotics, automotive, quality control, image recognition, and military applications, due to their superior quality, broadband detection, lower noise, and economic viability. Here,we report a MoS2channel-based phototransistor over an HfO2/n-Si substrate isolated by an h BN layer. The high photoresponse is achieved through the integration of the photoconduction, photogating, and mobility enhancement process by utilizing excellent features of MoS2, HfO2/Si, and h BN. The capacitive coupling of the photogenerated carriers by high-k dielectric HfO2leads to modulation of MoS2Fermi level due to electrostatic doping. Furthermore, the MoS2also contributes to the photogeneration of carriers due to its semiconducting nature, leading to additional photocurrent. Ultimately, the combination of photogating,photoconduction, and swift carrier extraction with remarkable mobility of 11.65 cm2· V-1· s-1results in high responsivity, external quantum efficiency, and detectivity of 4.5 × 10～8A · W-1, 0.72 × 10～6, and 6.20× 1016Jones at 266 nm illumination, respectively. The device also demonstrates broadband photoresponse from 266–1000 nm wavelengths. The high responsivity distinguishes the potential of our device for the future of optoelectronics and broadband image sensing applications.

Laser absorption spectroscopy has proven to be an effective approach for gas sensing, which plays an important role in the fields of military, industry, medicine and basic research. This paper presents a multiplexed gas sensing system based on optical frequency comb (OFC) calibrated frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) tuning nonlinearity. The system can be used for multi-parameter synchronous measurement of gas absorption spectrum and multiplexed optical path. Multi-channel parallel detection is realized by combining wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and frequency division multiplexing (FDM) techniques. By introducing nonlinear optical crystals, broadband spectrum detection is simultaneously achieved over a bandwidth of hundreds of nanometers. An OFC with ultra-high frequency stability is used as the frequency calibration source, which guarantees the measurement accuracy. The test samples involve H13C14N, C2H2 and Rb vapor cells of varying densities and 5 parallel measurement experiments are designed. The results show that the measurement accuracies of spectral absorption line and the optical path are 150 MHz and 20 mu m, respectively. The scheme offers the advantages of multiplexed, multi-parameter, wide spectrum and high resolution detection, which can realize the identification of multi-gas components and the high-precision inversion of absorption lines under different environments. The proposed sensor demonstrates great potential in the field of high-resolution absorption spectrum measurement for gas sensing applications.

The ordered membrane electrode assembly(MEA)has gained much attention because of its potential in improving mass ***,a comprehensive study was conducted on the influence of the patterned microporous layer(MPL)on the proton exchange membrane fuel cell *** patterned MPL is employed,grooves are generated between the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion *** is found that the grooves do not increase the contact resistance,and it is beneficial for water *** the MEA works under low humidity scenarios,the MEA with patterned MPL illustrated higher performance,due to the reduced inner resistance caused by improved water retention,leading to increased ionic ***,when the humidity is higher than 80%or working under high current density,the generated water accumulated in the grooves and hindered the oxygen mass transport,leading to a reduced MEA performance.

Dynamic coupling of ferrihydrite transformation and associated arsenic desorption/redistribution mediated by sulfate-reducing bacteria

Sulfate-reducing bacteria play an important role in the geochemistry of iron(oxyhydr)oxide and arsenic(As)in natural environments;however,the associated reaction processes are yet to be fully *** this study,batch experiments coupled with geochemical,spectroscopic,microscopic,and thermodynamic analyses were conducted to investigate the dynamic coupling of ferrihydrite transformation and the associated As desorption/redistribution mediated by Desulfovibrio vulgaris(***).The results indicated that *** could induce ferrihydrite transformation via S^(2-)-driven and direct reduction *** the absence of SO_(4)^(2-),*** directly reduced ferrihydrite,and As desorption and re-sorption occurred simultaneously during the partial transformation of ferrihydrite to *** increase in SO_(4)^(2-)loading promoted the S^(2-)-driven reduction of ferrihydrite and accelerated the subsequent mineralogical *** the low and medium SO_(4)^(2-)treatments,ferrihydrite was completely transformed to a mixture of magnetite and mackinawite,which increased the fraction of As in the residual phase and stabilized *** the high SO_(4)^(2-)treatment,although the replacement of ferrihydrite by only mackinawite also increased the fraction of As in the residual phase,22.1%of the total As was released into the solution due to the poor adsorption affinity of As to mackinawite and the conversion of As^(5+)to As^(3+).The mechanisms of ferrihydrite reduction,mineralogy transformation,and As mobilization and redistribution mediated by sulfate-reducing bacteria are closely related to the surrounding SO_(4)^(2-)*** results advance our understanding of the biogeochemical behavior of Fe,S,and As,and are helpful for the risk assessment and remediation of As contamination.

A trigger system is typically employed in active seismic testing to trigger and synchronize multichannel surface wave data *** effect of the trigger system on the dispersion image of surface waves is empirically known to be negligible,however,theoretical explanation regarding the effect of the trigger system is *** study systematically examines the theory for surface wave dispersion analysis and proves that the effect of the trigger system on a dispersion image is negligible via a solid theoretical ***,based on the new theoretical explanation,an alternative method that uses only the relative phase difference between sensors to extract dispersion characteristics with better conceptual clarity is *** active surface wave testing cases are considered to validate the theory and *** results indicate that(1)an accurate trigger system is not necessary for surface wave data acquisition,and(2)it is unnecessary to assume that the impact point is the generation point of the surface waves for the experimental dispersion analysis.
