The underlying mechanism of variety–water–nitrogen–stubble damage interactions on yield formation in ratoon rice with low stubble height under mechanized harvesting

Agronomic measures are the key to promote the sustainable development of ratoon rice by reducing the damage from mechanical crushing to the residual stubble of the main crop, thereby mitigating the impact on axillary bud sprouting and yield formation in ratoon rice. This study used widely recommended conventional rice Jiafuzhan and hybrid rice Yongyou 2640 as the test materials to conduct a four-factor block design field experiment in a greenhouse of the experimental farm of Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University, China from 2018 to *** treatments included fertilization and no fertilization, alternate wetting and drying irrigation and continuous water flooding irrigation, and plots with and without artificial crushing damage on the rice stubble. At the same time, a 13C stable isotope in-situ detection technology was used to fertilize the pot experiment. The results showed significant interactions among varieties, water management, nitrogen application and stubble *** to the long-term water flooding treatment, the treatment with sequential application of nitrogen fertilizer coupled with moderate field drought for root-vigor and tiller promotion before and after harvesting of the main crop, significantly improved the effective tillers from low position nodes. This in turn increased the effective panicles per plant and grains per panicle by reducing the influence of artificial crushing damage on rice stubble and achieving a high yield of the regenerated rice. Furthermore, the partitioning of 13C assimilates to the residual stubble and its axillary buds were significantly improved at the mature stage of the main crop, while the translocation rate to roots and rhizosphere soil was reduced at the later growth stage of ratooning season rice. This was triggered by the metabolism of hormones and polyamines at the stem base regulated by the interaction of water and fertilizer at this time. Understanding the topographic patterns of the seafloor is a very important part of understanding our *** the science involved in bathymetric surveying has advanced much over the decades,less than 20%of the seafloor has been precisely modeled to date,and there is an urgent need to improve the accuracy and reduce the uncertainty of underwater survey *** this study,we introduce a pretrained visual geometry group network(VGGNet)method based on deep *** apply this method,we input gravity anomaly data derived from ship measurements and satellite altimetry into the model and correct the latter,which has a larger spatial coverage,based on the former,which is considered the true value and is more *** obtaining the corrected high-precision gravity model,it is inverted to the corresponding bathymetric model by applying the gravity-depth *** choose four data pairs collected from different environments,i.e.,the Southern Ocean,Pacific Ocean,Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea,to evaluate the topographic correction results of the *** experiments show that the coefficient of determination(R~2)reaches 0.834 among the results of the four experimental groups,signifying a high *** standard deviation and normalized root mean square error are also evaluated,and the accuracy of their performance improved by up to 24.2%compared with similar research done in recent *** evaluation of the R^(2) values at different water depths shows that our model can achieve performance results above 0.90 at certain water depths and can also significantly improve results from mid-water depths when compared to previous ***,the bathymetry corrected by our model is able to show an accuracy improvement level of more than 21%within 1%of the total water depths,which is sufficient to prove that the VGGNet-based method has the ability to perform a gravity-bathymetry correction and achieve outstanding results.

Lamprophyres typically appear in hydrothermal gold *** relationship between lamprophyres and gold deposits is investigated *** researchers suggest that the emplacement of lamprophyres triggers gold mineralization,whereas others hypothesize that the formation of lamprophyres increases the fertility of mantle sources and ore-forming fluids.K-feldspar veins,with ages between those of lamprophyres and gold deposits,appear in lamprophyres in ***,K-feldspar veins are ideal for investigating the relationship between lamprophyres and gold *** in K-feldspar veins has lower Mg#,Ni,and Cr contents and higher TiO2,Li,Ba,Sr,Sc,Zr,Nb,and Cs contents than phlogopite in *** in-situ Sr isotopic values of apatites(0.7063–0.7066)in K-feldspar veins are within the range for apatites(0.7064–0.7078)from *** large-ion lithophile element concentrations and low Nb and Ta concentrations in phlogopite from lamprophyres,in addition to high(87Sr/86Sr)i values of apatite(0.7064–0.7078),indicate that the magma parental to these phlogopite and apatite crystals is derived from an enriched *** veins are genetically correlated with lamprophyres,whereas sulfide mineral assemblage and trace element compositions of pyrite in K-feldspar veins suggest that K-feldspar veins in lamprophyres are not directly related to gold mineralization of the Zhenyuan deposit.

Sea cucumber derived sulfated sterols (SS) significantly ameliorated insulin resistance and decreased lipid accumulation compared to plant sterols. Interestingly， our recent study found that intervention with sea cucumber sulfated sterols could significantly increase blood glucose levels of healthy mice in the presence of glucose， while cholesterol sulfate， as one of sulfated sterols， did not have the same effect. However， the exact mechanism of SS on glucose metabolism is still unknown. In the present study， we investigated the potential mechanism by which SS influenced blood glucose homeostasis in healthy mice. Results showed that intervention with sea cucumber sulfated sterols did not affect the levels of hormones related to glucose metabolism， while led to a significant decrease in the synthesis of liver glycogen and muscle glycogen. Besides， the expression of proteins associated with the promotion of gluconeogenesis dramatically increased in the mice intervened with sea cucumber sulfated sterols. These findings suggested that sea cucumber sulfated sterols might change blood glucose metabolism in healthy mice by reducing glycogenesis and promoting gluconeogenesis.

Marine oil spill emulsions are difficult to recover,and the damage to the environment is not easy to *** use of remote sensing to accurately identify oil spill emulsions is highly important for the protection of marine ***,the spectrum of oil emulsions changes due to different water *** remote sensing and deep learning can use spectral and spatial information to identify different types of oil ***,hyperspectral data can also cause information redundancy,reducing classification accuracy and efficiency,and even overfitting in machine learning *** address these problems,an oil emulsion deep-learning identification model with spatial-spectral feature fusion is established,and feature bands that can distinguish between crude oil,seawater,water-in-oil emulsion(WO),and oil-in-water emulsion(OW)are filtered based on a standard deviation threshold–mutual information *** oil spill airborne hyperspectral data,we conducted identification experiments on oil emulsions in different background waters and under different spatial and temporal conditions,analyzed the transferability of the model,and explored the effects of feature band selection and spectral resolution on the identification of oil *** results show the following.(1)The standard deviation–mutual information feature selection method is able to effectively extract feature bands that can distinguish between WO,OW,oil slick,and *** number of bands was reduced from 224 to 134 after feature selection on the Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer(AVIRIS)data and from 126 to 100 on the S185 data.(2)With feature selection,the overall accuracy and Kappa of the identification results for the training area are 91.80%and 0.86,respectively,improved by 2.62%and 0.04,and the overall accuracy and Kappa of the identification results for the migration area are 86.53%and 0.80,respectively,improved by 3.45%and 0.05.(3)The oil emulsion id

Independent magma system underneath micro non-transform discontinuity: geochemical evidence of magma from Daxi area， Carlsberg Ridge

The discontinuities of a ridge， defined by the geophysical properties， often coincides with geochemical variations in lava， highlighting the relationship between ridge discontinuity and the underlying magmatic system. This study presents bathymetric， geophysical， and basaltic geochemical data from the Daxi-non transform discontinuity (NTD) and adjacent segments. The Daxi-NTD is a typical micro-NTD， with an offset less than 15 km. Within the NTD， a neo-volcanic ridge has emerged， with an active hydrothermal system suggesting an underlying magmatic system. The study examines mantle composition， melting degree， crystallization pressure， and melt extraction processes beneath Daxi-NTD. Comparative analysis reveals that basalts in the Daxi area undergo extensive differentiation， characterized by higher crystallization pressure and lower melting degree compared to the adjacent segments. We propose that Daxi-NTD hosts an independent magmatic system， where melt migrates vertically through the magmatic system rather than laterally from the adjacent segment center. This approach aids in understanding of the magmatism along slow-spreading ridges and provides insights into the geodynamics and tectonic evolution of younger ridge system.

Oceanic submesoscales can significantly influence phytoplankton production and export owing to their similar timescales of *** on two-year Biogeochemical Argo(BGC-Argo) observations,this study investigated the development of submesoscale instabilities,particularly symmetric and mixed-layer baroclinic instabilities,and their impacts on biological production and export in the oligotrophic South China Sea *** the northern basin,near-surface winter blooms consistently cooccurred with seasonally deepened mixed ***,significantly stronger and weaker winter blooms were observed over two consecutive winters within the BGC-Argo observation *** the first winter,symmetric-instability-induced upward nutrient entrainment played a crucial role in initiating the strong winter bloom in early December,when the mixed layer was approximately 20–30 m shallower than the *** bloom occurred approximately 20–30 days earlier than that anticipated owing to the contact between the seasonally deepened mixed layer and mesoscale-cyclone-induced uplifted *** symmetric instability also facilitated the export of fixed phytoplankton carbon from the surface to deeper ***,during the second winter,remarkably intense mixed-layer baroclinic instability associated with an intense mesoscale anticyclone led to more significant shoaling of the mixed layer compared to the nutricline,thus increasing the vertical distance between the two *** this condition,upward nutrient injection,phytoplankton bloom,and carbon export were *** contrast,the BGC-Argo float in the central basin revealed significantly inhibited seasonality of phytoplankton biomass and submesoscale instabilities compared to those in the northern basin,primarily owing to the significantly shallower winter mixed layer.

Oceanic intraplate volcanoes with linear age progressions are usually accepted to be derived from melting of an upwelling mantle *** seamount groups in NW Pacific,however,show complex age-distance relationships that are difficult to explain using the classic“mantle plume hypothesis”,and thus their origins are *** this study,we present ^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar age,geochemical,and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic data of lavas from Hemler,Vlinder,and Il’ichev seamounts in NW Pacific,to elucidate their petrogenesis and geodynamic *** lavas from Hemler,Vlinder,and Il’ichev seamounts are classified as alkali basalt,basanite/nephelinite,and *** with Mg O>8 wt.%exhibit high contents of CaO,FeO^(T),and TiO_(2),similar to the composition of melts formed from reaction between carbonated eclogite-derived melts and fertile *** lavas have elevated Zr/Hf ratios(40.6-45.2)and negative Zr and Hf anomalies,indicating the presence of a carbonate component in the mantle *** are enriched in incompatible trace elements and have enriched mantle 1(EM1)-like SrNd-Pb-Hf isotopic *** isotopic compositions of Vlinder,Il’ichev basanite,and Hemler lavas in this study are similar to the Rarotonga *** occurring at the same seamount,the Il’ichev alkali basalts display more depleted SrNd-Hf isotopic compositions compared to Il’ichev *** to plate tectonic reconstruction results,the ages of Hemler(100.1 Ma),Vlinder pre-(100.2 Ma)and post-shield(87.5 Ma),and Il’ichev(56.4 Ma)lavas clearly deviate from the Macdonald,Arago,Rarotonga,and Samoa hotspot tracks,indicating that they cannot directly originate from mantle *** propose that in the mid-Cretaceous,when the Pacific plate passed over Rarotonga hotspot,melting of Rarotonga plume formed the Vlinder(main-shield stage),Pako,and Ioah *** Rarotonga(and possibly Samoa)plume materials would have been dispersed into the surrounding asthenosphere by mantle conve
