zeolite a Synthesized from Geothermal Waste Using Conventional and Microwave Heating for the Hydrothermal Treatment

zeolite a has been successfully synthesized from geothermal waste with natrium aluminate and natrium silicate using conventional(C-H)and microwave heating(M-H)for the hydrothermal *** products obtained for different aging times have been characterized using X-Ray Diffraction(XRD),Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It is shown that with the M-H process,zeolite can be formed at relatively low temperature(100°C)in a relatively short time(40 min).The crystallization of zeolite a has been found to be generally promoted by an increase of aging and synthesis time;however,it has also been observed that relative long aging times can transform it into *** A produced through the M-H process generally displays a smaller and more homogeneous crystal size with respect to that obtained with the C-H method.

A well-defined, monodisperse Ag6~+ cluster was prepared by mild chemical treatments including aqueous ionexchange, dehydration, oxygen calcination at 673 K and hydrogen reduction 293 K, rather than autoreduction and irradiations with γ-ray and X-ray. H2reduction was proved as a crucial step to form the nanosize cluster with six equivalent silver atoms. Hydrogen isotope exchange and dynamics were probed by EPR and HYSCORE to provide information relevant to the cluster geometry, size, charge state and spin state. Desorption experiments result in the deuterium desorption energy of 0.78 eV from the cluster, exceeding the experimental value of 0.38 eV for the single crystal Ag(111) surface. These experiments indicate that the EPR-active clusters are in delicate equilibrium with EPR-silent clusters.

Synthesis of zeolite a and zeolite X from electrolytic manganese residue,its characterization and performance for the removal of Cd^(2+)from wastewater

Electrolytic manganese residue(EMR)can cause serious environmental and biological *** order to solve the problem,zeolite a(EMRZA)and zeolite X(EMRZX)were synthesized by *** pure phase zeolites were synthesized by alkaline melting and hydrothermal two-step process,which had high crystallinity and excellent crystal *** the optimum conditions for synthesis of zeolite were investigated:NaOH-EMR mass ratio=1.2,L/S=10,hydrothermal temperature=90℃,and hydrothermal time=6 ***,EMRZA and EMRZX showed excellent adsorption of Cd^(2+).When T=25℃,time=120min,pH=6,C0=518 mg·L^(-1),and quantity of absorbent=1.5 g·L^(-1),the adsorption capacities of EMRZA and EMRZX reached 314.2 and 289,5 mg·g^(-1),respectively,In addition,after three repeated adsorption-desorption cycles,EMRZA and EMRZX retained 80%and 74%of the initial zeolites removal rates,***,adsorption results followed quasi-second-order kinetics and monolayer adsorption,which was regulated by a combination of chemisorption and intra-particle diffusion *** adsorption mechanism was ions exchange between Cd^(2+)and Na+.In summary,it has been confirmed that EMRZA and EMRZX can be reused as highly efficient adsorbents to treat Cd^(2+)-contaminated wastewater.

Comprehensive utilization of complex rubidium ore resources:Mineral dissociation and selective leaching of rubidium and potassium

Currently,the process of extracting rubidium from ores has attracted a great deal of attention due to the increasing application of rubidium in high-technology field.A novel process for the comprehensive utilization of rubidium ore resources is proposed in this *** process consists mainly of mineral dissociation,selective leaching,and *** results showed that the stable silicon–oxygen tetrahedral structure of the rubidium ore was completely disrupted by thermal activation and the mineral was completely dissociated,which was conducive to subsequent selective *** the optimal conditions,extractions of 98.67% Rb and 96.23%K were obtained by leaching the rubidium ***,the addition of a certain amount of activated Al(OH)_(3) during leaching can effectively inhibit the leaching of *** the meantime,the leach residue was sodalite,which was successfully synthesized to zeolite a by hydrothermal *** proposed process provided a feasible strategy for the green extraction of rubidium and the sustainable utilization of various resources.
