Enhancement of Arabica coffee quality with selected potential microbial starter culture under controlled fermentation in wet process

Coffee is a significant agricultural commodity that is well-known and enjoyed all over the world for its distinct flavor and *** quality of coffee is affected by various *** existing coffee processes,which rely on natural microorganisms,are uncontrollable,resulting in product *** overcome this problem,this study aimed to investigate the potential use of selected microbial inoculants in wet method processing and the effects of fermentation time and temperature on coffee *** yeasts,bacteria,and lactic acid bacteria,isolated from the coffee fermentation process,were used as the starter ***-four conditions were *** the 0 and 24 h of fermentation,total bacterial and yeast counts,as well as pH,were measured and trend to change during *** fermentation,coffee beans were subjected to sensory evaluation by Quality-Arabica *** showed that specific microbial starter culture under controlled conditions successfully improved coffee *** of the twenty-four types coffee beans tested were classified as specialty coffee with distinct cupping *** up experiment was done by a mixture of three strains of Pichia kluyveri and Wickerhamomyces anomalus(condition Y4-04)at Doi Saket District,Chiang Mai,*** to the flavor profile derived from Q-graders,the cupping results was related to the volatile and water-soluble compounds identified by GC-MS and 1H NMR *** suggests that the coffee quality can be improved by using starter cultures and carefully managing fermentation settings.

Engineering practice and economic analysis of ozone oxidation wet denitrification technology

SO_(2)and NO emitted from coal-fired power plants have caused serious air pollution in *** this study,a test system for NO oxidation using O_(3)is *** basic characteristics of NO oxidation and products forms are studied.A separate test system for the combined removal of SO_(2)and NO_(x)is also established,and the absorption characteristics of NO_(x)are *** characteristics of NO oxidation and NO_(x)absorption were verified in a 35 t·h^(-1)industrial boiler wet combined desulfurization and denitrification *** operating economy of ozone oxidation wet denitrification technology is *** results show that O_(3)has a high rate and strong selectivity for NO *** O_(3)is insufficient,the primary oxidation product is NO_(2).When O_(3)is present in excess,NO_(2)continues to get oxidized to N_(2)O_(5)or NO_(3).The removal efficiency of NO_(2)in alkaline absorption system is low(only about 15%).NOx removal efficiency can be improved by oxidizing NO_(x)to N_(2)O_(5)or NO_(3)by increasing ozone *** the molar ratio of O_(3)/NO is 1.77,the NOx removal efficiency reaches 90.3%,while the operating cost of removing NO_(x)per kilogram is 6.06 USD(NO_(2)).

The Properties of Sulfur Rubber Concrete (SRC)

The mix designs and specimen preparation for the dry process and wet process of sulfur rubber conerete （ SRC ） were investigated. The compressive strength, corrosion-resistance and toughness were studied and discussed. The results show that SRC is corrosion-resistanet. Although the compressive strength of SRC decreases with inereasing rubber content, the toughness increases instead . Adding micro-filler will improve the compressive strength of SRC . There is a threshold value for the sulfur content, at which the compressive strength and the workability of SRC reach an optimum balance . The bond between rubber particles and surrounding sulfur is strong due to the vulcanization process that generates cross-link through S-C bonds.

Catalytic Disposal of Cooking Fume Discharged from the Restaurant

The cooking oil fume pollution have been becoming a serious problem.1 Though several methods on disposal technology of the fume have been developed at home and abroad, such as filtration process, electrostatic process and wet process, practical and effective technology is still needed.2In the present study, we will report a new disposal process of cooking fume, which were turned complete into water and CO2 in the presence of the catalysts. Catalysts were prepared by the following procedure. First, layer of A12O3 was painted on the inner pore surface of ceramic honeycomb carrier. Second, a solution of platinum and palladium salts in alcohol was used for impregnation in a suitable concentration to obtain a catalyst 0.3% noble metals.

Various Methods Used for the Treatment of the wet-Phosphoric Acid

Phosphoric acid obtained by the wet process is laden with impurities which limit its use in fertilizers. To expand its range of use, various methods have been proposed to purify it which range from simple fading-clarification to more complex operations. These processes include essentially the liquid-liquid extraction, chemical precipitation, ion flotation, adsorption on activated carbon, ion exchange resins. However, the use of these techniques is limited to a number of disadvantages such as high operational cost, environmental pollution, complicated process, limited effectiveness, etc.. Our contribution for this domain （purification of wet-phosphoric acid） consists to use clays which could be adsorbent materials alternative to both economic and less polluting. These are phyllosilicates which have a large adsorption capacity due to their large specific surface and their surface charge. In this study, we will detail the processes which present great importance for the treatment of wet phosphoric acid.

The aromatic leather was prepared via the application of polyacrylate nanocapsule loaded with fragrance in leather wet blue. The aromatic leather manufacture process was optimized based on the fragrance utilization ratio and sensory evaluation. The structure of the aromatic leathers was characterized by Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) . The results showed that when the condition of the aromatic leather was:m(nanocapsules):m(leather) = 7:1,pH 5,reaction temperature 25°C,the leather has the best aromatic effect. SEM demonstrated that the spherical nanocapsules dispersed on the leather fibres. FTIR showed that the fragrance nanocapsule had been incorporated into the leathers. After displayed 12 days,the aroma of the aromatic leathers was only decreased 12.28%.
