This research explores the dynamic behaviour of horn-shaped single-walled carbon nanotubes(HS-SWCNTs)conveying viscous nanofluid with pulsating the influence of a longitudinal magnetic *** analysis utilizes Euler-Bernoulli beam model,considering the variable cross section,and incorporating Eringen’s nonlocal theory to formulate the governing partial differential equation of *** instability domain of HS-SWCNTs is estimated using Galerkin’s *** analysis is performed using the Haar wavelet *** critical buckling load obtained in this study is compared with previous research to validate the proposed *** results highlight the effectiveness of the proposed model in assessing the vibrational characteristics of a complex multi-physics system involving *** graphs and tables are presented to visualize the numerical findings pertaining to various system parameters,including the nonlocal parameter,magnetic flux,Knudsen number,and viscous factor.

Acoustofluidic technology combines acoustic and microfluidic technologies to realize particle manipulation in microchannels driven by acoustic waves,and the acoustic radiation force(ARF)with boundaries is important for particle manipulation in an acoustofluidic *** the work reported here,the ARF on a free cylinder immersed in a viscous fluid with an incident plane wave between two impedance boundaries is derived analytically and calculated *** influence of multiple scattering between the particle and the impedance boundaries is described by means of image theory,the finite-series method,and the translational addition theorem,and multiple scattering is included partly in image *** ARF on a free rigid cylinder in a viscous fluid is analyzed by numerical calculation,with consideration given to the effects of the distances from cylinder edge to boundaries,fluid viscosity,cylinder size,and boundary *** results show that the interaction between the two boundaries and the cylinder makes the ARF change more violently with different frequencies,while increasing the viscosity can reduce the amplitude of the ARF in boundary *** study provides a theoretical basis for particle manipulation by the ARF in acoustofluidics.

The governing equations as well as boundary land initial conditions for nonlinear dynamic response problems of viscous fluid-saturated biphase porous medium model, based on mixture theory, are presented. With Galerkin weighted residual method the corresponding nonlinear dynamic penalty finite element equation, in which the dependencies of volume fraction and permeation coefficients an deformation are included, is obtained. The iteration solution method of the nonlinear system equation is also discussed. As a numerical example, the dynamic response of a porous medium column under impulsive loading action is analyzed with the developed finite element program. The numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and correctness of the method.

In this paper, the effect of angle inclination at the interface of a viscous fluid and thermoelastic micropolar honeycomb solid due to inclined load is investigated. The inclined load is assumed to be a linear combination of normal load and tangential load. Laplace transform with respect to time variable and Fourier transform with respect to space variable are applied to solve the problem. Expressions of stresses, temperature distribution, and pressures in the transformed domain are obtained by introducing potential functions. The numerical inversion technique is used to obtain the solution in the physical domain. The frequency domain expressions for steady state are also obtained with appropriate change of variables. Graphic representations due to the response of different sources and changes of angle inclination are shown. Some particular cases are also discussed.

From the Navier-Stokes equations, the integral expressions of the free-surface elevation and the velocity field in ship waves of a moving waterborne body are obtained. Next, Lighthill' s two-stage scheme is employed to change the above-mentioned integral expressions to algebraic expressions. Compared with the results obtained when the seawater is idealized to an inviscid fluid, the singularities are dispelled or weakened, and the accuracy of the digit information of ship waves is improved.

Hydromagnetic flow between two porous disks rotating with same angular velocity Ω about two noncoincident axes has been studied in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. An exact solution of the governing equations has been obtained in a closed form. It is found that the primary velocity f/Ωl increases and the secondary velocity g/Ωl decreases with increase in either Reynolds number Re or the Hartman number M. It is also found that the torque at the disk η= 0 increases with increase in either M^2 or K^2. On the other hand there is no torque at the disk η= 1 for large M^2 and K^2. The heat transfer characteristic has also been studied on taking viscous and Joule dissipation into account. It is seen that the temperature increases with increase in either M^2 or K^2. It is found that the rate of heat transfer at the disk η= 0 increases with increase in either M or K. On the other hand the rate of heat transfer at the disk η= 1 increases with increase in K but decreases with increase in M.
