virtual organization Information Systems and its Reengineering for Agile Manufacturing

It is now possible to organize globally while worki ng locally: Information technologies like e-mail, the Internet, and video confere ncing to the desktop permit tight coordination of geographically dispersed worke rs across time zones and cultures. Companies are not limited to physical locatio ns for providing products and services. Networked information systems are allowi ng companies to coordinate their geographically distributed capabilities as virt ual organizations. In order for organizations to succeed, they must be able to r espond with agility in a geographically dispersed environment. The core for a vi rtual organization to increase the utilization rate of resources to the maxi mum and to make full use of the transient market opportunities lies in how to br ing the potential of information technology into play. Based on the philosophy o f agile manufacturing, this paper analyses the basic concepts and connotation of virtual organization Information systems(VOIS). VOIS is an information system composed of some independent information subsystems that are autonomous, collab orative and belong to umpty organizations respectively. VOIS support the operati on of virtual organization, and automate the information flow across organizatio nal boundaries. Such systems have capabilities as rapid construction, quick oper ation, and agile reengineering and swift adaptability. Differences between VOIS and traditional enterprise information systems are analyzed. On the basis of ana lyzing the structure of VOIS, an abstract hierarchical structure of VOIS is prop osed using object-oriented method. Reengineering ideology and methods of VOIS a re also explored in light of the three layers structure.

Constructing global view with an ontology-based method for information sharing in the virtual organization

The problem of constructing global view of heterogeneous information sources for information sharing is becoming more and more important due to the availability of multiple information sources within the virtual organization. Global view is defined to provide a unified representation of the information in the different sources by analyzing concept schemas associated with them and resolving possible semantic heterogeneity. An ontology-based method for global view construction is proposed. In the method, （ 1 ） Based on the formal ontologies, the concept of semantic affinity is introduced to assess the level of semantic relationship between information classes from different information sources; （2） Information classes are classified by semantic affinity levels using clustering procedures so that their different representations can be analyzed for unification; （3） Global view is constructed starting from selected clusters by unifying representation of their elements. The application example of using the method in the joint-aerial defense organization is illustrated and the result shows that the proposed method is feasible.

A Critical Model Construction of Knowledge Sharing Mechanism in virtual organization Based on Game Theoretic Perspective

virtual organization uses information technology to achieve a closer integration and better management of business relationships between internal and external parties. There are many emerging issues in virtual organization and one of them is knowl- edge sharing. Knowledge sharing that is the core of knowledge management plays a key role in virtual organization. However, game theoretic exploration about knowledge sharing mechanism based on virtual organization is seldom published, In this study, knowledge sharing mechanism in virtual organization enterprise is explored using game theories from two aspects based on the features of knowledge sharing in virtual organization enterprise. Fi- nally, the critical model of knowledge sharing mechanism in virtual organization also is presented based on the perspective of game analysis.

＜正＞Risk management plays a key role for enterprises operating safely in virtual organization. It is essential for virtual organization to evaluate risks so as to make risk management effective. Risk cost is an important factor for quantifying the risk estimation. With regard to the information indeterminacy in the virtual organization, this paper applies the multiple regression to forecasting the risk cost of enterprise. The simulation results show that the multiple regression is an effective method to forecast the risk cost in virtual organization.

Cross-organizational interoperability and coordination are core issues to virtual organization（VO） researches. We propose a model of VOs in which VO related concepts are modeled in an extension of the OWL-S service ontology and SWOCRL（Semantic Web Object Constraint Rule Language） rules. Within this framework, VO abilities can be seen as services provided;coordination between VOs can be seen as service invocation. SWOCRL rules are used as mediators between service descriptions and requests. A prototype system of our framework is proposed combining Constraint Handling Rules（CHR） and Prolog.

Trusted autonomic service cooperation model and application development framework

To achieve the dynamical on-requirement self-organization and self-evolution of virtual organizations （VOs） by autonomic service cooperation is an excellent approach for developing assembled serviceoriented application software systems in the Internet computing environment. However, this approach, due to the fact that the autonomic individual behaviors are difficult to be predicted and controlled, encounters the ＂trust＂ crisis of cooperation effect. In order to solve the above crisis, this paper pro- poses a model of Norm-Governed and Policy-Driven autonomic service cooperation （NGPD）. The key idea of NGPD is to constrain and govern the cooperation behaviors and their evolutions of autonomic individuals by formulating systematic standards of social structures and the coupling norms of cooperation behaviors, and thereby the cooperation behaviors （i.e. behaviors for providing and requiring services） of autonomic individuals and the cooperation effect can be controlled, predicted, and then become trusted. Furthermore, NGPD provides the ＂macro-micro＂ link mode to support the operationlevel implementation of macro-government and creates the policy-driven self-management mechanism for individual behaviors to achieve the mapping from the macro-government to the micro-behaviors. Thus, the effect of the macro-government can be exerted to autonomic individuals so that they can exhibit the intellect for conforming to service contracts and cooperation behavior norms, but still keep high autonomy again. Along with the settlement of this ＂trust＂ crisis, NGPD can overcome the limitation introduced by non-autonomic service cooperation, and thus make the autonomy and change-response ability of service cooperation exhibit the advantages of robustness and intelligence which cannot be reached by traditional service cooperation techniques. An Efficient Grid Service Discovery Mechanism Based on the Locality Principle

With the explosion of services in grid environment, it＇s necessary to develop a mechanism which has the ability of discovering suitable grid services efficiently. This paper attempts to establish a layered resource management model based on the locality principle which classifies services into different domains and virtual organizations （VOs） according to their shared purposes. We propose an ontologybased search method applying the ontology theory for characterizing semantic information. In addition, we extend the UD- D1 in querying, storing, and so on. Simulation experiments have shown that our mechanism achieves higher performance in precision, recall and query response time.
