Cloud resource scheduling is gaining prominence with the increasingtrends of reliance on cloud infrastructure solutions. Numerous sets of cloudresource scheduling models were evident in the literature. Cloud resource scheduling refers to the distinct set of algorithms or programs the service providersengage to maintain the service level allocation for various resources over a virtualenvironment. The model proposed in this manuscript schedules resources of virtual machines under potential volatility aspects, which can be applied for anypriority metric chosen by the server administrators. Also, the model can be flexible for any time frame-based analysis of the load factor. The model discussed inthis manuscript relies on the Bollinger Bands tool for understanding the potentialvolatility aspects of a virtual Machine. The experimental study of the model compared to the contemporary load balancing model called STLB (Starvation Threshold-based Load Balancing) refers to a simple and potential model that can bemore pragmatic for sustainable ways of load balancing.

SLA-Aware and Energy-Efficient VM Consolidation in Cloud Data Centers Using Host State 3rd-Order Markov Chain Model

virtual machine(VM) consolidation offers a promising approach to saving energy and improving resource utilization in cloud data ***,the aggressive consolidation of VMs may lead to Servicelevel agreement(SLA) violations,which are essential for data centers and their ***,it is essential to find a tradeoff between the reduction in SLA violation level and energy *** this paper,we improve and expand our Host state 3 rd-order Markov chain(HS3 MC)model proposed in our previous research comprehensively:we propose a new VM selection algorithm,an improved VM placement algorithm,and an HS3 MC-based VM consolidation algorithm based on our improved HS3 MC model for the SLA-aware and energy-efficient consolidation of VMs in cloud data *** evaluate our proposed algorithms on an extended Cloudsim simulator using the PlanetLab workload and a random ***,we improve and expand the OpenStack Neat experimental platform,and evaluate the performance of our algorithms in a real cloud environment based on *** experimental results show that our proposed model can significantly reduce the SLA violation rates while maintaining energy efficiency.

Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS)provides logical separation between data,network,applications and machines from the physical constrains of real *** is one of the basis of cloud ***,security issues are also gradually emerging with virtualization of cloud *** security aspects of cloud virtualization will be explored in this research paper,security recognizing potential threats or attacks that exploit these vulnerabilities,and what security measures are used to alleviate such *** addition,a dis-cussion of general security requirements and the existing security schemes is also *** shown in this paper,different components of virtualization environ-ment are targets to various attacks that in turn leads to security issues compromis-ing the whole cloud *** this paper an overview of various cloud security aspects is also *** attack scenarios of virtualization envir-onments and security solutions to cater these attacks have been discussed in the *** then proceed to discuss API security concerns,data security,hijacking of user account and other security *** aforementioned discussions can be used in the future to propose assessment criteria,which could be useful in ana-lyzing the efﬁciency of security solutions of virtualization environment in the face of various virtual environment attacks.

In recent times,internet of things(IoT)applications on the cloud might not be the effective solution for every IoT scenario,particularly for time sensitive applications.A significant alternative to use is edge computing that resolves the problem of requiring high bandwidth by end *** computing is considered a method of forwarding the processing and communication resources in the cloud towards the *** of the considerations of the edge computing environment is resource management that involves resource scheduling,load balancing,task scheduling,and quality of service(QoS)to accomplish improved *** this motivation,this paper presents new soft computing based metaheuristic algorithms for resource scheduling(RS)in the edge computing *** SCBMARS model involves the hybridization of the Group Teaching Optimization Algorithm(GTOA)with rat swarm optimizer(RSO)algorithm for optimal resource *** goal of the SCBMA-RS model is to identify and allocate resources to every incoming user request in such a way,that the client’s necessities are satisfied with the minimum number of possible resources and optimal energy *** problem is formulated based on the availability of VMs,task characteristics,and queue *** integration of GTOA and RSO algorithms assist to improve the allocation of resources among VMs in the data *** experimental validation,a comprehensive set of simulations were performed using the CloudSim *** experimental results showcased the superior performance of the SCBMA-RS model interms of different measures.

An Improved vTPM-VM Live Migration Protocol

To prevent malicious virtual machine from harming the security of vTPM-VM live migration process, we propose an im- proved vTPM-VM live migration protocol which uses a TPM-based integrity verification policy and a specific encryption scheme to enhance security. The TPM-based integrity verification policy is presented to ensure that all participating entities in this process are trustworthy. In data transfer phase, the specific encryp- tion scheme is designed to associate the decipher process with one certain platform status so that only the destination platform can gain the key data of the migrated VM and vTPM instance. The security of this new protocol is analyzed. The results show that this protocol can effectively resist most of the attacks in the proc- ess ofvTPM-VM live migration.
