＜正＞ The silica colloidal crystal multilayers were deposited from ethanol suspensions with different particle concentrations by vertical deposition method. The microstructures and thicknesses of silica colloidal multilayers were characterized by scanning electron micrography. The thicknesses of colloidal crystal multilayers increased with the particle concentration increasing within a certain range of particles concentrations. When the particle concentration exceeded 2.48wt%, the thicknesses of colloidal crystal multilayers didn’t increased with the concentration increasing. Colloidal crystal multilayers with few defects could be deposited from the suspensions with the particle concentration 2.48wt%. The optical properties of the silica colloidal multilayers were investigated by a UV-Vis scanning spectrophotometer in normal incidence. They corresponded well to the microstructure obtained by SEM images.

Preparation and Self-assembly of Chitosan/Carbon Microsphere Composite

Carbon-based films were synthesized by self-assembly of chitosan-encapsulated carbon microsphere （CMS@CS） composite. First, carbon microspheres （CMSs） prepared by chemical vapor deposition were modified by HNO3 and H2O2. Second, oxidized CMSs were modified by chitosan （CS）. Finally, CMS@CS was self-assembled by vertical deposition, in which suspension concentration and deposition temperature on the quality of self-assembling film were investigated. Field emission scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, and Fourier transformation infrared spectrometry were employed to characterize the morphology and structure of the samples. The results show that CMSs modified by CS had uniform particle size and good dispersion, CMS@CS was self-assembled into a dense film, the film thickened with increasing suspension concentration at fixed temperature, and more ordered film was obtained at 1 wt% of suspension concentration and 50 ℃. The ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra show that the absorbance of CMS@CS film grew steadily with increasing suspension concentration and that the CMSs with oxygen-containing groups have a good assembling performance to form composite films with CS.

Characteristics of the lower layer of sandstorms in the Minqin desert-oasis zone

By measuring the sand-dust flux,vertical deposition,and the wind velocity throughout 19 sandstorms in the Minqin region,we quantitatively analyzed the horizontal distribution and vertical variation in sandstorm characteristics under different land cover *** effect of different land cover on mitigating sandstorms was also *** results indicated that,in the surface layer ranging from 0-50 m,the intensity of sand-dust horizontal flux and concentration of sand-dust decreased with the increase of the height in the desert and the edge of oasis,whereas the two physical quantities increased slightly with the increase of the height in the *** two physical quantities obey power function well under all three cover ***,in the desert and at the edge of oasis,the sand-dust vertical deposition decreased with the increase of the *** a partial unimodal distribution at the oasis site and the maximum deposition occurred at the height of 9 m,which corresponds to the middle height of farmland protection *** annual flux that passed through a section of 1 m in width and 50 m in height was 9169 kg in the desert,5318 kg at the edge of oasis,and 2345 kg in the *** the annual fluxes at the edge of oasis and in the oasis are 42% and 74% less,respectively,than that in the *** implies that the wind break forest significantly reduced the intensity of sandstorms.

Three-dimensional Ordered Silica Colloidal Film Self-assembly Deposited on a verticalSubstrate

A method for preparation of particle crystal film constructed from monodisperse silica colloidal particles in diameter of about 300 nm is reported. The films were prepared from an ethanol suspension by vertical deposition that relies on capillary forces to assemble colloidal crystal particles on a vertical substrate. The 3D ordered films were characterized by transmission spectra and scanning electric microscope (SEM). The effect of evaporation temperature, particle concentration and sintered temperature on the quality of colloidal particle crystal film was investigated.
