Improved Social Emotion Optimization Algorithm for Short-Term traffic Flow Forecasting Based on Back-Propagation Neural Network

The back-propagation neural network(BPNN) is a well-known multi-layer feed-forward neural network which is trained by the error reverse propagation algorithm. It is very suitable for the complex of short-term traffic flow forecasting; however, BPNN is easy to fall into local optimum and slow convergence. In order to overcome these deficiencies, a new approach called social emotion optimization algorithm(SEOA) is proposed in this paper to optimize the linked weights and thresholds of BPNN. Each individual in SEOA represents a BPNN. The availability of the proposed forecasting models is proved with the actual traffic flow data of the 2 nd Ring Road of Beijing. Experiment of results show that the forecasting accuracy of SEOA is improved obviously as compared with the accuracy of particle swarm optimization back-propagation(PSOBP) and simulated annealing particle swarm optimization back-propagation(SAPSOBP) models. Furthermore, since SEOA does not respond to the negative feedback information, Metropolis rule is proposed to give consideration to both positive and negative feedback information and diversify the adjustment methods. The modified BPNN model, in comparison with social emotion optimization back-propagation(SEOBP) model, is more advantageous to search the global optimal solution. The accuracy of Metropolis rule social emotion optimization back-propagation(MRSEOBP) model is improved about 19.54% as compared with that of SEOBP model in predicting the dramatically changing data.

In this paper,I present B-DRIVE—a blockchain-based distributed IoT(Internet of Things)network for smart urban *** network is designed to connect a large fleet of IoT devices,installed on various vehicles and roadside infrastructures,to distributed data storage centers,called as Full-Nodes,to log and disseminate sensor generated *** connects devices from around the city to multiple Full-Nodes to log timestamped data into the *** sensors vary from GPS(Global Positioning System),air quality meter,gyrometer to speed cameras in order to facilitate efficient urban *** three identified hardware layers that comprise the network are the IoT layer,Storage layer,and User *** consist of Moving/Static-Nodes,Full-Nodes,and Smart devices,*** Moving/Static-Nodes are primarily made up of moving vehicles and road-side infrastructures,respectively,thus acting as various data ***,Full-Nodes and Smart devices are institutions and mobile phones,acting as data handler/disseminator and navigator/data visualizer,*** data,or data blocks,received by Full-Nodes get appended into Full and Running-Blockchain,meant for specific *** network is designed to be free from any block mining *** provides open access to anonymous sensor data to end-users,especially scientists,policy-makers and entrepreneurs,to develop innovative urban transportation *** is believed that a system like B-DRIVE,along with existing VANETs(Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks),is capable of answering some of the current urban transportation issues around traffic congestion,navigation,and vehicle *** applications of blockchain data could vary from user activity mapping to VGI(volunteered geographic information)data quality *** identified limitations of the presented architecture are the low processing power of current IoT devices and the lack of urban IoT infrastructure.

A Model for Capacity Considering the Interference by Pedestrian traffic at Signal Intersections

The capacity is impacted badly by pedestrians' violation behavior at signal intersections. In order to quantify the impact,the time-headway and the vehicular speed from start-up to reach the stable saturation flow with and without pedestrian traffic are used as the direct measurements. Using the statistical analysis,the timeheadway of saturation flow is mainly affected by the position of pedestrians and the degree of pedestrians 'influence is classified into four levels. Then the speed-time profile for the vehicular acceleration at each level is fitted by Curve Fitting Software. Based on the effect to the time-headway and acceleration time,the model of capacity influenced by pedestrians is established and the influence is quantified, which enriches the fundamental theory of traffic engineering. The result shows that the vehicular capacity can be decreased by 14%at the worst case( level I). The conclusions obtained in this paper are valuable for better management of the signal intersection.

To accurately analyze the fluctuation range of time-varying differences in metro-to-bus transfer passenger flows,the application of a probabilistic interval prediction model is proposed to predict transfer passenger ***,bus and metro data are processed and matched by association to construct the basis for public transport trip chain ***,a reasonable matching threshold method to discriminate the transfer relationship is used to extract the public transport trip chain,and the basic characteristics of the trip based on the trip chain are analyzed to obtain the metro-to-bus transfer passenger ***,to address the problem of low accuracy of point prediction,the DeepAR model is proposed to conduct interval prediction,where the input is the interchange passenger flow,the output is the predicted median and interval of passenger flow,and the prediction scenarios are weekday,non-workday,and weekday morning and evening ***,to reduce the prediction error,a combined particle swarm optimization(PSO)-DeepAR model is constructed using the PSO to optimize the DeepAR ***,data from the Beijing Xizhimen subway station are used for validation,and results show that the PSO-DeepAR model has high prediction accuracy,with a 90%confidence interval coverage of up to 93.6%.

Calculating the Maximum Assembling on Nested Routing Platforms of urban Rail Transit Line

The maximum assembling for some period on nested routing platforms of urban rail transit line were calculated by trend analysis method. Based on influencing factors of maximum assembling on platform, relative hypotheses were given. Platforms were divided to eight types by relations between platform and routing train. Interaction of passenger, train and platform, assembling change process,and calculation frames of maximum assembling on different type platforms carried out to be maximum assembling were concluded by trend analysis method. The numerical example application revealed that trend analysis method to calculate maximum assembling on nested routing platforms is feasible, and the final results by trend analysis method are more accurate than by one of codes for design of metro.

The train schedule usually includes train stop schedule,routing scheme and formation *** is the basis of subway *** the practical experience of transport organizations and the principle of the best match between transport capacity and passenger flow demand,taking the minimum value of passenger travel costs and corporation operating costs as the goal,considering the constraints of the maximum rail capacity,the minimum departure frequency and the maximum available electric multiple unit,an optimization model for city subway Y-type operation mode is constructed to determine the operation section of mainline as well as branch line and the train frequency of the Y-type operation *** particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm based on classification learning is used to solve the model,and the effectiveness of the model and algorithm is verified by a practical *** results show that the length of branch line in Y-type operation affects the cost of waiting time of passengers significantly.
