As a class of narrow band structures such as dock,bridge and dam,chain-type networks are applied to monitor and track underwater *** paper proposes a coverage strategy for probabilistic positioning of mobile targets,which can balance the coverage and positioning performance of underwater sensor *** on careful analysis characteristic of network architectures,multiple relay nodes integrated with non-uniform deployment are designed in the consideration of the extensibility of underwater sensor network,which consists of common sense nodes,relay nodes and a base *** probabilistic positioning model for mobile targets is devised with the support of node optimization ***,the simulation experiments have been implemented in order to evaluate the proposed algorithm performance for targets probabilistic positioning.

Coverage is an important indicator of the quality of underwater sensor network(UWSN) *** reflects the monitoring capability of the network nodes to the UWSN deployment area and determines the overall lifetime of the *** order to improve network coverage and prolong network lifetime,this paper proposed a combination algorithm of virtual force and particle swarm optimization(VF-PSO).By the action of the virtual force,the underwater mobile nodes are moved to a relatively ideal position to maximize the network *** virtual force is used to guide the optimization of the particle swarm so as to speed up the convergence of the particles to the global optimal *** algorithm not only effectively solves the problem of insufficient optimization ability of the virtual force algorithm,but also makes the particle swarm algorithm evolve towards the target solution that maximizes the area *** results show that the VF-PSO algorithm can effectively improve the effective coverage of underwater monitoring area,and avoid void-hole problem,while ensuring network connectivity compared with the algorithm proposed earlier.

underwater Wireless sensor networks(UWSNs)are widely used in many fields,such as regular marine monitoring and disaster ***,UWSNs are still subject to various limitations and challenges:ocean interferences and noises are high,bandwidths are narrow,and propagation delays are *** batteries have limited energy and are difficult to be replaced or ***,the design of routing protocols is one of the solutions to these *** at reducing and balancing network energy consumption and effectively extending the life cycle of UWSNs,this paper proposes a Hierarchical Adaptive Energy-efficient Clustering Routing(HAECR)***,this strategy divides hierarchical regions based on the depth of the sensor node in a three-dimensional(3D)***,sensor nodes form different competition radii based on their own relevant attributes and remaining *** in the same layer compete freely to form clusters of different ***,the transmission path between clusters is determined according to comprehensive factors,such as link quality,and then the optimal route is *** simulation experiment is conducted in the monitoring range of the 3D *** simulation results prove that the HAECR clustering strategy is superior to LEACH and UCUBB in terms of balancing and reducing energy consumption,extending the network lifetime,and increasing the number of data transmissions.

Spectrum Allocation and Protocol Based on Cognitive Acoustic Technique in underwater networks

In this paper, a strategy is developed for spectrum sharing among multiple cognitive users in underwater environment. This strategy requires all nodes to negotiate and reallocate the channels before sending data, and Hungarian method is used to maximize the sharing rewards. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can avoid collisions between source-destination node pairs, and guarantee that the communication system gets maximum sharing rewards. Both the parameters of POMDP model and the number of available channels have influence on the system sharing rewards, and the rewards will increase when the channels have larger transition probabilities or more channels are available for communication. However, the channels with larger bandwidths can attract more nodes to access, and thus will lead to more collisions.
