HEAT FLOW CONTROL BY transformation method WITH GRID GENERATION method

In the context of the transformation method, we propose a general approach to construct numerically the mapping generated by imposing specific boundary conditions with a targeted function, and the necessary material and heat source spatial distributions are then derived with the help of transformation method. The construction of mapping by grid generation method through solving partial differential equations circumvents the limitation of device geometry, which paves the way for designing more complex heat flow control devices. Two numerical examples are also given to show how to design material properties and heat source in order to control temperature patterns.

This paper is concerned with the consensus of general linear multi-agent systems with directed topology.A transformation method is proposed for analysis and control of consensus.The definition and properties of the transformation are first discussed.The consensus in the multi-agent is investigated through the stability of the transformed system,and the relation between the two systems is established.This approach provides a natural way to derive necessary and sufficient conditions for consensus,and further it can be used to analyse the consensus types.Moreover,compared to conventional methods,by this transformation a more general control design approach for each general agent is presented this paper.Numerical examples with four cases are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Acoustic carpet invisibility cloak with two open windows using multilayered homogeneous isotropic material

We present a method for designing an open acoustic cloak that can conceal a perturbation on Hat ground aria simultaneously meet the requirement of communication and matter interchange between the inside and the outside of the cloak. This cloak can be constructed with a multilayered structure and each layer is an isotropic and homogeneous medium. The design scheme consists of two steps： firstly, we apply a conformal coordinate transformation to obtain a quasi-perfect cloak with heterogeneous isotropic material; then, according to the profile of the material distribution, we degenerate this cloak into a multilayered-homogeneous isotropic cloak, which has two open windows with negligible disturbance on its invisibility performance. This may greatly facilitate the fabrication and enhance the applicability of such a carpet-type cloak.

Precise method to control elastic waves by conformal mapping

The transformation method to control waves has received widespread attention in electromagnetism and acoustics. However, this machinery is not directly applicable to the control of elastic waves, because it has been shown that the Navier＇s equation does not usually retain its form under coordinate transformation. In this letter, we prove the form invariance of the Navier＇s equation under the conformal mapping based on the Helmholtz decomposition method. The needed material parameters are provided to manipulate elastic waves. The validity of this approach is confirmed by an active stealth device which can disguise the signal source by changing its position. Experimental verifications and potential applications may be expected in nondestructive testing, structural seismic design and other fields.
