In order to alleviate the city traffic pressure, reduce the delay time of vehicles on the road, this paper design a traffic monitoring system based on RFID. Integrated climate, road conditions and power control all the factors considered, this papers choose to use passive tags to identify the vehicle. Multifunctional integration RFID reader reads the tag information stored inside the vehicle effectively, and sends it to the data processing center. The system according to the real-time data processing results realizes the monitoring function of the intersection vehicle. The simulation results show that each function module is stable and the system can be adjusted according to the real-time detection of the traffic lights flow information.

The paper mainly discusses design of hardware & software for embedded web server with Heterogeneous network seamless connectivity and implement of key technology. It contains transplantation of embedded Linux operating system, design of embedded web server, transplantation of database and implementing method of main functions. Remote monitoring is realized to traffic information collection, monitoring traffic conditions, traffic control, information published and communication of traffic data by using combining EWS technology with Internet. The results indicate that the intelligent traffic control technology based on embedded web technology can achieve the integration of a wide range of information collection and it breaks through the traditional traffic monitoring technology for designing traffic monitoring system and provides the advanced technology based on embedded Web for designing modern traffic monitoring system. The testing showed the traffic monitoring system based on embedded Web technology has the good real-time and high reliability and good scalability and anti-interference performance. Meanwhile, it has also laid a good foundation for the further study of a new type of intelligent traffic information collection system.

Real-time vehicle tracking for traffic monitoring systems

A real-time vehicle tracking method is proposed for trattlC monitoring system at roau mte^cc- tions, and the vehicle tracking module consists of an initialization stage and a tracking stage. Li- cense plate location based on edge density and color analysis is used to detect the license plate re- gion for tracking initialization. In the tracking stage, covariance matching is employed to track the license plate. Genetic algorithm is used to reduce the computational cost. Real-time image tracking of multi-lane vehicles is achieved. In the experiment, test videos are recorded in advance by record- ers of actual E-police systems erage false detection rate and at several different city intersections. In the tracking module, the av- missed plates rate are 1.19%, and 1.72%, respectively.
