NOVEL MULTIMEDIA traffic modeling BASED CAC SCHEME FOR CDMA COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

As the radio spectrum is a very scarce resource,the Call Admission Control (CAC) is one of the most important parts in radio resource management. The Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) based next generation wireless communications systems will support the transmission of multimedia traffic,such as voice,video and data,thus the CAC,which can support the multimedia traffic and guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS) of different traffic,has gained broad attention. In this paper,a novel multimedia traffic modeling method and a corresponding dynamic QoS based CAC are proposed. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed CAC scheme can guarantee the QoS to different traffic demand,and improve the system performance significantly.

With the rapid development of the fifth-generation wireless communication systems, a profound revolution in terms of transmission capacity, energy efficiency, reliability, latency, and connectivity is highly expected to support a new batch of industries and applications. To achieve this goal, wireless networks are becoming extremely dynamic, heterogeneous, and complex. The modeling and optimization for the performance of realworld wireless networks are extremely challenging due to the difficulty to predict the network performance as a function of network parameters, and the prohibitively huge number of parameters to optimize. The conventional network modeling and optimization approaches rely on drive test, trial-and-error, and engineering experience,which are labor intensive, error-prone, and far from optimal. On the other hand, while the research community has spent significant efforts in understanding the fundamental limits of radio channels and developing physical layer techniques to operate close to it, very little is known about the performance limits of wireless networks, where millions of radio channels interact with one another in complex manners. This paper reviews the very recent mathematical and learning based techniques for modeling and optimizing the performance of real-world wireless networks in five aspects, including channel modeling, user demand and traffic modeling, throughput modeling and prediction, network parameter optimization, and IRS empowered performance optimization, and also presents the corresponding notable performance gains.

＜正＞In this paper we make it clear that the SRD model is better than the LRD model with timescale resolution over 60 *** conclusion was derived from the following *** used the real traffic data observed at our university’s router,which is the gateway to the Internet for approximately 1000 *** we made the SRD and LRD models for the traffic data with various time-scale *** modeling we used the ARIMA and f-ARIMA model,which are well used models in many *** compare the SRD and MRD models,we used the AIC（Akaike’s Information Criterion）. The conclusion above derives the suggestion that it will be better not to use the f-ARIMA model in rough traffic simulations,which is opposite to the ideas believed widely so far.

＜正＞Recent studies suggest that long-memory property in nowadays internet traffic shows a complicated scaling behavior: unlike the unchanged Hurst parameter of a self-similar process, scaling exponents of such processes change over time or scale ranges. In this paper, we propose a practical method, which uses the simple FBM process, to model long-range dependent traffic with changing scaling exponents over time scales. By using multiple self-similar processes to capture the statistical properties in different time scales, queueing performance of the multi-scale natured traffic can be presented by a composed performance curve produced by each self-similar process. Simulation results using traffic data measured from a backbone network is used to show the efficiency of our method.
