Spatial evolution and spatial production of traditional villages from "backward poverty villages" to "ecologically well-off villages": Experiences from the hinterland of national nature reserves in China

With the rapid urbanization process,the space of traditional villages in China is undergoing significant *** the spatial evolution of traditional villages is significant in promoting rural spatial transformation and realizing rural revitalization and sustainable rural *** on the traceability analysis of spatial production theory,this paper constructed an analytical framework for the spatial production evolution of traditional villages,analyzed the spatial evolution process and characteristics of traditional villages by using buffer analysis,spatial syntax,and other research methods,and revealed the characteristics of the spatial production evolution of traditional villages and the driving *** results show that:(1)The village spatial formation and development follow the village life cycle theory and usually develop from embryonic villages to diversified and integrated villages;(2)The evolution of village spatial production is characterized by the diversity of material space,the sublimation of daily life space,and the integration of social system space and generalization of emotional space;(3)The evolution of village spatial production from backward and poor village to ecologically well-off village is influenced by a combination of factors;(4)The village has formed a spatial structure of"people-land-scape-culture-industry",realized comprehensive reconstruction and spatial *** study results reflect the spatial evolution characteristics of traditional villages in mountainous areas in a more comprehensive way,which helps to promote the protection and development of traditional villages in mountainous areas and,to a certain extent,provides a reference for the development of rural revitalization.

Data Collection and Research on the Vitality of Public Space in traditional villages: A Case Study of Cuandixia Village

High-Resolution Remote Sensing Imagery for the Recognition of traditional villages

traditional Chinese villages,vital carriers of traditional culture,have faced significant alterations due to urbanization in recent years,urgently necessitating artificial intelligence data *** study integrates high spatial resolution remote sensing imagery with deep learning techniques,proposing a novel method for identifying rooftops of traditional Chinese village buildings using high-definition remote sensing *** 0.54 m spatial resolution imagery of traditional village areas as the data source,this method analyzes the geometric and spectral image characteristics of village building *** constructs a deep learning feature sample library tailored to the target *** a semantically enhanced version of the improved Mask R-CNN(Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network)for building recognition,the study conducts experiments on localized imagery from different *** results demonstrated that the modified Mask R-CNN effectively identifies traditional village building rooftops,achieving an of 0.7520 and an of *** improves the current problem of misidentification and missed detection caused by feature *** method offers a viable and effective approach for industrialized data monitoring of traditional villages,contributing to their sustainable development.

Spatial Distribution and Tourism Activation of traditional villages in Yunnan Province

Using ArcGIS to analyze the spatial distribution of traditional villages in Yunnan Province in combination with the actual local conditions of traditional villages,the purpose of this study is to determine the development model suitable for their *** results show several important features of traditional village distribution.(1)The traditional villages in Yunnan Province have spatial structural characteristics of unbalanced cohesive distribution,and they are mainly distributed in the higher-level cities and prefectures such as northwest Yunnan,west Yunnan and south *** them,the traditional villages of Baoshan City have the highest distribution density of 66.33 per 10000 km^(2).This is followed by Dali Prefecture and Honghe Prefecture,where the densities of traditional villages are 44.13 per 10000 km^(2) and 37.66 per 10000 km^(2),respectively.(2)The factors affecting the spatial distribution structure of traditional villages in Yunnan Province are natural geographical factors,humanistic historical factors and transportation *** them,the natural geographical conditions with a large vertical gap in Yunnan Province gave birth to the human settlement environment of traditional *** history of a farming civilization that has been passed down from generation to generation has laid a brilliant and splendid humanistic foundation for traditional villages,and the high-altitude areas are relatively *** transportation conditions have delayed the destruction of traditional villages by urbanization and *** summary,these factors have affected the spatial distribution pattern of traditional villages in Yunnan Province to some extent.(3)According to the law of the spatial distribution of traditional villages in Yunnan Province,it is necessary to explore the activation path of traditional village tourism with regional characteristics and ethnic characteristics,and also to carry out differentiated development accord

Spatial Distribution and Cultural Features of traditional villages in Beijing and Influencing Factors

traditional villages are important part of Beijing, an internationally famous historic and cultural city. Exploring the spatial distribution and cultural features of traditional villages, and the factors that have shaped them,will help promote the protection and utilization of traditional villages in Beijing. ArcGIS spatial analysis, literature analysis, fieldwork and in-depth interviews were mainly carried out to analyze the spatial distribution and cultural features of traditional villages in Beijing and their influencing factors. The results show three main features.(1) The overall distribution of traditional villages in Beijing is random, although there are more traditional villages in the southwest and northeast and less in the southeast and northwest. Most of them are distributed along the higher piedmont plains or intermountain basins, and most of them are backed by hills and surrounded by rivers or along the ancient road.(2) There are some cultural commonalities among the traditional villages in Beijing, and nine typical traditional village cultures have been formed, including traditional residential culture, traditional folklore culture,the Great Wall garrison culture, mausoleum guarding culture, etc.(3) The formation of the spatial distribution and cultural features of traditional villages in Beijing is influenced by natural environmental factors like terrain, climate,and rivers, as well as human activities such as royal life, capital construction, ancient military defense, transportation, trade, etc. This study can provide a reference for the scientific protection and effective utilization of traditional villages in Beijing and all over the country.

Exploring the dynamic evolutionary mechanism of game model on the protection of traditional villages

With the rapid improvement of urbanization and industrialization in countries around the world,how to effectively solve the rapid demise of traditional villages is a social dilemma faced by all countries,which is why a series of relevant protection regulations have been promulgated in different historical ***,the formulation of relevant policies is still not scientific,universal,and *** this study,we constructed an evolutionary game model of local governments and residents based on the evolutionary game theory(EGT),which is used to explore the evolutionary stability strategy(ESS)and stability conditions of stakeholders under the premise of mutual influence and ***,the study also included the analysis about the impacts of different influence factors on the evolution tendency of the game *** the same time,numerical simulation examples were used to verify the theoretical results and three crucial conclusions have been ***,the strategic evolution of stakeholders is a dynamic process of continuous adjustment and optimization,and its results and speed show consistent ***,the decision-making of stakeholders mainly depends on the basic cost,and the high cost of investment is not conducive to the protection of traditional ***,the dynamic evolutionary mechanism composed of different influence factors will have an impact on the direction and speed of decision-making of stakeholders,which provides the basis for them to effectively restrict the decision-making of each *** study eliminates the weaknesses of existing research approaches and provides scientific and novel ideas for the protection of traditional villages,which can contribute to the formulation and improvement of the relevant laws and regulations.

Since the reform and opening-up policy of 1978,China has established the double-track inventory system of rural heritage preservation to cope with the impact of rapid urbanisation on rural *** paper analyses the evolution in the concept of policy making from the Historical and Cultural villages system to the traditional Villages *** argues that the mass recognition of traditional villages in China since 2012 indicates that the understandings of rural heritage have evolved from the distinguished to the diverse,the tangible only to the intangible included,and the material-based to the *** the rural revitalisation policy,the role of traditional villages in social development will be further explored and promoted as‘means of improvement’,looking for the balance between protection and development of rural heritage in the urban-rural dual structure.

Distribution Pattern of and Spatial Correlation Between traditional villages and Geological Disasters:A Case Study on Aba Prefecture,Sichuan Province

Identifying the types of disasters and analyzing the distribution pattern of and the spatial correlation between villages and disasters are important prerequisite for the disaster prevention and mitigation of traditional *** Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture as an example and using the tools of kernel density evaluation and spatial statistics,this paper analyzes the distribution pattern of and the spatial correlation between traditional villages and typical geological disasters on the three spatial scales of Aba Prefecture,village agglomeration area,and village administrative area with necessary *** concludes that most of the traditional villages in Aba Prefecture agglomerate in the middle-and high-level alpine gorges and some are clustered at either the border area or the central hinterland of counties;with the increase of maximum seismic intensity and frequency of earthquakes,it appears there is an increase of traditional villages and their trend of agglomeration,which implies an overlap of the areas of dense traditional villages and high-density geological disasters,as well as the synchronous increase of traditional village density and geological disaster density;and the traditional villages in Aba Prefecture are affected by multiple disasters,in particular landslide and debris ***,the paper discusses the issue of disaster prevention and mitigation in the protection and development planning of traditional villages.

Analyzing the Causes of Spatial Differentiation of the traditional villages in Gansu Province, Western China

The study and protection for traditional villages are very important for us to protect Chinese historical and cultural heritage. Data show that under the condition of rapid urbanization. The number and coverage of traditional villages in western China are decreasing. It is impossible to effectively protect a large number of rural settlements at the bottom of China’s traditional settlement system. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the spatial survival status of traditional villages and protect them comprehensively and extensively. Using the digital elevation model (DEM) data of traditional villages in Gansu Province, China, published by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the attribute data obtained by the Statistics Bureau of Gansu Province, China, the nuclear density, the Mulan indices, the correlations between the heights and the centers are calculated and used to study the spatial different characteristics of the villages, and a number of results have been achieved: 1) In spatial differentiation, the spatial agglomeration of the villages is obvious and different, which can be seen by the distribution of the villages from along the upper reaches of the Yellow River to the southeast, and the distribution of prefecture-level cities is related to the landforms. 2) In vertical spatial distribution, the span of the altitude data is large. Among the villages, the Zagana Village in Diebu County of Gannan City is the highest and the Zhengjiashe Village in Bingkou Town of Longnan City is the lowest. With the increase of altitude, the number of traditional villages generally shows a tendency of decrease. 3) The spatial differentiation of the traditional villages has a clear normal distribution with the elevation, and the spatial differentiation is low, showing a distinct gourd-like structure;the eastern and southern regions are more concentrated, while the northern and western regions are less concentrated. 4) The spatial differences of the traditional vil

Spatial Distribution Pattern and Han Subgroup Characteristics of traditional villages in Guangdong

A total of 126 traditional villages in Guangdong were selected for research to analyze their spatial distribution pattern, spatial autocorrelation, and Han subgroup characteristics through the spatial analysis with GIS. The results showed that the traditional villages in Guangdong were distributed compactly, which was similar to that in other provinces; on the prefecture-level city scale, they were mainly distributed in Meizhou, Qingyuan, Zhanjiang, and Zhaoqing, showing a central distribution; on the regional scale, they were mainly distributed in northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta, indicating an unbalanced distribution; their density of spatial distribution showed a significant difference with a provincial distribution density of 0.59 per thousand km^2 and the highest distribution density of 2.14 per thousand km^2; there were four gathering areas accommodating many traditional villages, namely Meizhou-Chaoshan area, Guangfo-Dongguan area, Leizhou in Zhanjiang, and Lianzhou in Qingyuan; the spatial distribution of traditional villages, which presented a pattern of hot spot—sub-hot spot—sub-cold spot—cold spot, had a significant global spatial autocorrelation, and areas in similar sizes were tending towards gathering; traditional villages in Guangdong belonged to the Cantonese-speaking group and Hakka-speaking group with a density of 0.59 per thousand km^2 and 0.48 per thousand km^2 respectively, and Han subgroup with the highest distribution density was the minority areas of 1.31 per thousand km^2, followed by Shaozhou dialect area with a density of 1.00 per thousand km^2.
