Performance improvement of time and frequency technology has played a key role in GPS URE accuracy *** time and frequency elements related to system service performance were analyzed and concluded based on positioning theory and main error sources analysis regarding actual engineering situation,such as system time, clock,time comparison and so *** to URE performance requirement,the performance analysis architecture about time and frequency indexes were put forward for the first *** relation model between time and frequency indexes and URE clock component and its error estimation formula were studied and *** were made and reference data about time and frequency indexes and URE were *** result may be used as technique reference to satellite navigation system research and Chinese Beidou system development.

COMPASS time synchronization and dissemination—Toward centimetre positioning accuracy

In this paper we investigate methods to achieve highly accurate time synchronization among the satellites of the COMPASS global navigation satellite system(GNSS).Owing to the special design of COMPASS which implements several geo-stationary satellites(GEO),time synchronization can be highly accurate via microwave links between ground stations to the GEO *** as space-borne relay stations,the GEO satellites can further disseminate time and frequency signals to other satellites such as the inclined geo-synchronous(IGSO)and mid-earth orbit(MEO)satellites within the *** is shown that,because of the accuracy in clock synchronization,the theoretical accuracy of COMPASS positioning and navigation will surpass that of the *** addition,the COMPASS system can function with its entire positioning,navigation,and time-dissemination services even without the ground link,thus making it much more robust and *** further show that time dissemination using the COMPASS-GEO satellites to earth-fixed stations can achieve very high accuracy,to reach 100 ps in time dissemination and 3 cm in positioning accuracy,*** this paper,we also analyze two feasible synchronization *** special and general relativistic effects related to COMPASS clocks frequency and time shifts are *** conclude that COMPASS can reach centimeter-level positioning accuracy and discuss potential applications.

Due to large bulk and mass,the hydrogen maser in our laboratory at present stage is not suitable for space *** reduction of the volume of the microwave cavity is extremely important since it occupies almost 3/4 of the total volume of the hydrogen *** this paper,we present recent progress in designing of the sapphire-loaded *** were optimized for minimization of the size and maximization of the quality *** by using the finite element method and related experiments were performed.A miniaturized sapphire microwave cavity with the total volume of about 3 dm 3 and the quality factor of 67500 is *** experimental results were well consistent with those of calculation.
