We have calculated and compared the three-body force effects on the properties of nuclear matter under the gap and continuous choices for the self-consistent auxiliary potential within the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach by adopting the Argonne Vls and the Bonn B two-body potentials plus a microscopic three-body force （TBF）. The TBF provides a strong repulsive effect on the equation of state of nuclear matter at high densities for both the gap and continuous choices. The saturation point turns continuous choice is adopted. In addition, the dependence self-consistent auxiliary potential is discussed. out to be much closer to the empirical value when the of the calculated symmetry energy upon the choice of the

We investigate the ^3PF2 neutron superfluidity in H-stable neutron star matter and neutron stars by using the BCS theory and the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach. We adopt the Argonne V18 potential supplemented with a microscopic three-body force as the realistic nucleon-nucleon interaction. We have concentrated on studying the threebody force effect on the ^3PF2 neutron pairing gap. It is found that the three-body force effect is to enhance remarkably the ^3PF2 neutron superfluidity in neutron star matter and neutron stars.

We provide a microscopic calculation of neutron-proton and proton-proton cross sections in symmetric nuclear matter at various densities, using the Brueckner Hartree-Fock approximation scheme with the Argonne Va4 potential including the contribution of microscopic three-body force. We investigate separately the effects of three-body force on the effective mass and on the scattering amplitude. In the present calculation, the rearrangement contribution of three-body force is considered, which will reduce the neutron and proton effective mass, and depress the amplitude of cross section. The effect of three body force is shown to be repulsive, especially in high densities and large momenta, which will suppress the cross section markedly.

We investigate many-body correlations caused by two- and three-body （2-, 3bd） forces. Shell-model effective interactions derived from ab initio methods （coupled-cluster method, no-core shell model） are adopted. Vlow-k potentials, based on many-body perturbation theory, are also tested, especially for their cut-off dependence. We compare the central, tensor and spin-orbit interactions from microscopic theory to the fitted interactions. After the inclusion of the three-body force, the matrix elements become fairly close to those fitted directly to experimental data. Calculations of neutron-rich oxygen isotopes are performed, to clarify the effects of 3bd forces, tensor, and spin-orbit interactions on the nuclear binding and excitation energies. We find that the 3bd force can influence the binding energies greatly, which also determines the drip line position, while its effect on excitation energies is not very pronounced. The spin-orbit force, which is part of the 2bd force, can affect the shell structure explicitly, at least for neutron-rich systems.

The equations of state of spin-polarized nuclear matter and pure neutron matter are studied in the framework of the Brueckner–Hartree–Fock theory including a three-body force. The energy per nucleon EA(δ) calculated in the full range of spin polarization for symmetric nuclear matter and pure neutron matter fulfills a parabolic law. In both the cases the spin-symmetry energy is calculated as a function of the baryonic density along with the related quantities such as the magnetic susceptibility and the Landau parameter G0. The main effect of the three-body force is to strongly reduce the degenerate Fermi gas magnetic susceptibility even more than the value with only two-body force. The equation of state is monotonically increasing with the density for all spin-aligned configurations studied here so that no any signature is found for a spontaneous transition to a ferromagnetic state.

We investigate the equation of state of asymmetric nuclear matter and its isospin dependence in various spin-isospin ST channels within the framework of the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach extended to include a microscopic three-body force（TBF） . It is shown that the potential energy per nucleon in the isospinsinglet T = 0 channel is mainly determined by the contribution from the tensor SD coupled channel. At high densities,the TBF effect on the isospin-triplet T = 1 channel contribution turns out to be much larger than that on the T =0 channel contribution. At low densities around and below the normal nuclear matter density,the isospin dependence is found to come essentially from the isospin-singlet SD channel and the isospin-triplet T = 1 component is almost independent of isospin asymmetry. As the density increases,the T = 1 channel contribution becomes sensitive to the isospin asymmetry and at high enough densities its isospin dependence may even become more pronounced than that of the T = 0 contribution. The present results may provide some microscopic constraints for improving effective nucleon-nucleon interactions in a nuclear medium and for constructing new functionals of effective nucleon-nucleon interaction based on microscopic many-body theories.

The transition from hadron phase to strange quark phase in dense matter is investigated. Instead of using the conventional bag model in quark sect, we achieve the confinement by a density-dependent quark mass derived from in-medium chiral condensates, with a thermodynamic problem improved. In nuclear slot, we adopt the equation of state from Brueckner-Bethe-Goldstone approach with three-body force. It is found that the mixed phase can occur, for reasonable confinement parameter, near the normal saturation density, and transit to pure quark matter at 4—5 times the saturation, which is quite different from the previous results from other quark models that pure quark phase can not appear at neutron-star densities.

In order to further obtain the information of three-body force （TBF） from 200-400 MeV/u ^12C＋^12C elastic scattering, we plan to perform this experiment on a SHARAQ spectrometer. Based on the experimental condition of the Radioactive Ion Beam Factory （RIBF）-SHARAQ facility, a simulation is given to find a compromise between the better energy and angular resolutions, and higher yield by optimizing the target thickness, beam transport mode, beam intensity and angular step. From the simulation, we found that the beam quality mainly limits the improvements of energy and angular resolutions. A beam tracking system as well as a lateral and angular dispersion- matching technique axe adopted to reduce the influence of beam quality. According to the two angular settings of SHARAQ as well as the expected cross sections on the basis of the theoretical model, the energy and angular resolutions, and statistical accuracy are estimated.

The properties of hot asymmetric nuclear matter are studied in the framework of the finite temperature BruecknerHartree-Fock theory that is extended to include the contribution of microscopic three-body forces. We give the variation of the critical temperature with the asymmetry parameter and show the effect brought by this three-body repulsive potential on the value of the critical asymmetry of the phase transition for asymmetric nuclear matter. Owing to the additional repulsion provided by three-body forces, this value decreases. In addition, the domain of mechanical instability for hot nuclear matter is also indicated, which gradually shrinks with increasing asymmetry and temperature.
