Targeted construction of new covalent organic frameworks(COFs)with specific purposes and rationalities to build colorimetric assay platform for environmental pollutant monitoring have attracted increasing interest.However,it is still challenging due to lack of available coordination sites inside COFs pores and only a slight bonding ability for anchoring metal.In this work,a two-dimensional(2D)COFs(termed as Tz-COF)with high crystallinity,excellent chemical stability,and abundant sulfur coordination in its skeletons was synthesized and used for the confined growth of Au NPs.It was found that the Au NPs showed significant dispersibility for the support of Tz-COF.The proposed Tz-COF@Au NPs possessed outstanding Hg^(2+)-activated peroxidase-like activity benefited from physicochemical properties of gold amalgam and synergistic effect between COFs and Au NPs to oxidize chromogenic substrate.Based on highly efficient activity and distinctive color evolution,the strategy for detecting Hg^(2+)was developed and successfully applied to determine the content of Hg^(2+)in real environmental samples.This work manifests that a potential strategy to establish a colorimetric assay platform for environmental pollutant monitoring based on the targeted manufacturing of novel COFs with specific functions.

The title compound 2, 4-chloromethyl-3-anilino-2-（4-methyl-benzoylimido）thiazole, was prepared by the reaction of 1-p-methylbenzoyl-3-phenylaminothiourea 1 with 1,3-dichloro- acetone. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/c, with a = 8.1712（15）, b = 10.998（2）, c = 19.134（4）A, β= 94.610（5）°, C18H16ClN3OS, Mr = 357.85, Z = 4, V = 1714.0（6）A^3, De= 1.387 g/cm^3, μ（MoKa） = 0.354 mm^-1, F（000） = 744, the final R = 0.0518 and wR = 0.1167 for 3189 observed reflections （I〉 2σ（I）. Its formation mechanism was proposed.

The target compound,ethyl 2-(3-(4-fluorobenzamido)phenyl)-4-((4-fluorobenzoyl)oxy)thiazole-5-carboxylate,was synthesized by four-step procedures including N-protection,thionation,cyclization and acylation.Its structure was characterized by 1 H NMR,13C NMR,HRMS and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.The target compound crystallizes as monoclinic crystal system,space group C2/c with a=9.6097(19),b=14.246(3),c=33.070(7)A,V=4515.1(16)A3,Z=8.Dc=1.496 Mg/m3,F(000)=2096 andμ=0.203 mm-1.There are 21864 reflections measured(4.94≤2θ≤55.96°),of which 5357 were unique(Rint=0.1418)and used in all calculations.The final R=0.0581(I>2δ(I))and wR=0.1453(reflections).The target compound showed over 50%of growth inhibition against Physalospora piricola,Rhizoctonia cere al is and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.

A series of novel thiazole Schiff base derivatives containing benzo[d][1,3]dioxole moiety was designed, synthesized and screened for their fungicidal activities. The preliminary results demonstrated that compounds 6p, 6q and 6r possessed potent activities against Phytophthora infestans, Pyricularia oryzae and Septoria tritici in vitro. Compounds 6d and 6r exhibited remarkable activities against Botrytis cinerea（whole plant） and Phytophthora in- festans（leaf disk） respectively in vivo, which were identified as the most promising candidates for further study and could be used as possible lead compounds for developing new fungicides.

Rapid Microwave Assisted Synthesis and Antiproliferative Evaluation of Novel Steroidal thiazole Derivatives

Three series of novel steroidal thiazole derivatives were synthesized by microwave assisted one-potreaction from pregnenolone, testosterone and estrone, respectively. Their structures were characterized by IR, NMRand HRMS, and the antiproliferative activities of all the synthesized compounds against human cervical carcinoma（HeLa）, human liver carcinoma（HepG2）, human lung carcinoma（A549）, nasopharyngeal carcinoma（CNE2） andnormal kidney epithelial cells（HEK293T） were screened. Among the compounds, 1-estron-17＇-ylidene-2-[4＇-（p-bromophenyl）-2＇-thiazol]hydrazone（12） displayed distinct antiproliferative activity against all the tested cancercell lines and was almost inactive to normal kidney epithelial cells.

DFT methods have been used to study the hetero Diels-Alder reaction of thiazole and isothiazole with thiophen-2,5-dione.The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters were calculated.The relative stabilities of the transition structures corresponding to the endo/exo stereoisomers have been rationalized on the basis of the secondary molecular orbital interactions.NBO analysis was carried out to calculate the synchronicity index.It was shown that all reactions are synchronous.A HOMO-LUMO energy gap shows both reactions are normal electron demand.

A series of new biquinoline derivatives containing a thiazole moiety were synthesized by a one-pot,base-catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction of 2-chloro-3-formyl quinoline,malononitrile and enaminone.All the synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis,FT-IR,~1H NMR and ^（13）C NMR data.All the synthesized compounds were screened against three bacterial pathogens,namely Bacillus cereus,B.substilis and Escherichia coli and for antifungal activity against three fungal pathogens,Aspergillus niger,Fusarium oxisporum and Rhizopus using the disc diffusion method.

Eleven new imine derivatives 6 containing 1H-1,2,4-triazole and thiazole rings were synthesized by the condensation of 5-((1H- 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methyl)-4-tert-butylthiazol-2-amine with various substituted benzaldehydes.The structures of the title compounds were characterized by ~1H NMR,MS and elemental analysis.The plant-growth regulatory activities of these compounds were evaluated.The primary bioassay results indicated that these target compounds exhibited promising plant-growth regulatory activities.

Benzobisthiazole polymer with resonance-assisted hydrogen bonds(RAHBs)has been synthesized for both organic field-effect transistor and polymer solar cell applications.The properties of the hydrogen bonded polymer are compared with the reference polymer without RAHBs.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses of the building block reveal that the RAHB interactions are formed between the carbamate hydrogen and imine nitrogen of the thiazoles.The hydrogen donor and acceptor are connected byπ-conjugated molecular framework and the hydrogen-bridged quasi aromatic rings lock the conformation of the building block.The building block adopted a layered sandwich packing in crystal instead of slipped herringbone stacking which was often found in the crystal of benzobisthiazole derivatives.The polymer PCBTZ-TT with RAHBs showed deeper HOMO/LUMO energy level(about 0.2 eV)than reference polymer.The PCBTZ-TT demonstrated the hole mobility of0.96 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1) in field-effect transistor devices and achieved power conversion efficiency of 13.6%in solar cell devices with Y6 as acceptor without any additive.
