Magnetic and temperature-responsive luminescent composites based on poly（N-isopropylacrylamide）,magnetic nanoparticles and Na9[EuW10O36] were fabricated. The composites were investigated by IR, UV,XRD, TGA, SEM and TEM. The prepared nanocomposites exhibit good superparamagnetic property and thermo-responsive switchable luminescence properties. The multifunctional nanocomposites can be separated by external magnetic field. Moreover, the nanocomposites exhibit an appreciable temperature response, and the red luminescence of the nanocomposites in solution can be controlled by the temperature stimuli. The hydrogel emits strong redluminescence in solution at 25 ℃,which can be seen by naked eyes. When the external temperature is 40 ℃, the red luminescence almost disappears in *** is expected that the multifunctional nanoparticles have potential applications in the field of biomedicine.

A novel temperature-responsive hyperbranched multiarm copolymer with a hydrophobic hyperbranched poly(3-ethyl-3-(hydroxymethyl)oxetane)(HBPO) core and thermosensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) arms was synthesized via the atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) of NIPAM monomers from a hyperbranched HBPO *** was found that HBPO-star-PNIPAM self-assembled into multimolecular micelles(around 60 nm) in water at room temperature according to pyrene probe fluorescence spectrometry,1H NMR,TEM,and DLS *** micelle solution showed a reversible thermosensitive phase transition at a lower critical solution temperature(LCST)(around 32°C) observed by variable temperature optical absorbance *** temperature NMR and DLS analyses demonstrated that the LCST transition originated from the secondary aggregation of the micelles driven by increasing hydrophobic interaction due to the dehydration of PNIPAM shells upon *** drug loading and release properties of HBPO-star-PNIPAM micelles were also investigated using prednisone acetate as a model *** micelles showed a much improved drug encapsulation efficiency and temperature-dependent sustainable release behavior due to the special micellar *** micelles exhibited no apparent cytotoxicity against human HeLa cells.

Present study aims at synthesizing a thermosensitive hydrogel for controlled release of insulin. According to a modified method, hydroxybutyl chitosan （HBC） hydrogel possessed thermal sensitivity is prepared which can form hydrogel at over 25℃. The HBC hydrogel is non-cytotoxic to mice fibroblasts cells （L929）. Insulin is 100% entrapped in the hydrogel, 38% of which is released in vitro from the concentration of 5% hydrogel after 48 h, whereas by enzymolysis with lysozyme, 80% of the total insulin is released after 48h. This study suggests that HBC hydrogel could be utilized for controlled release of insulin in a non-invasive manner.

Hollow molecular imprinted polymer microspheres were prepared by distillation precipitation polymerization with(S)-(+)-ibuprofen(S-IBF)as template molecule and acrylamide(AM)as functional *** the silicon dioxide(SiO_(2),180 nm)modified by 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate(MPS)as the template micro-spheres,the molecular imprinted shells were coated on successfully(SiO_(2)@MIPs).The thermosensitive SiO_(2)@MIPs-PNIPAM core-shell microspheres were subsequently prepared by grafting the PNIPAM chains(M_(n)=1.21×10^(4)g/mol,polydispersity index=1.30),which were prepared by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)polymerization,on the surface of SiO_(2)@MIPs microspheres via the thiol-ene click *** grafting density of PNIPAM brushes on the SiO_(2)@MIPs microspheres was about 0.18 chains/nm^(2).After HF etching,the hollow imprinted microspheres were finally *** thermosensitivity analysis,the phase transition temperatures of multifunctional nanoparticles were measured by DSL at 25℃and 45℃respectively,and the sizes of the microspheres changed by about 35 *** modified microspheres presented excellent controlled release property to S-IBF,moreover about half amount of the adsorptions passed into acetonitrile-water solution through the specific holes of imprinted shell at 25℃under vibration.

In this report, a novel thermosensitive poly（N-isopropylacrylamide-co-maleic anhydride-β-cyclodextrin）/（TiO2-multi-wal,led carbon nanotubes）（poly（NIPAM-co-MAH-β-CD）/（TiO2-MWCNTs）） composite was synthesized by UV light photoinitiating method. The results indicated that MAH modifiedβ-CD （MAH-β-CD） could polymerize to NIPAM by UV light irradiation in the presence of TiO2-MWCNTs composite nanoparticles. The characteristic results confirmed that the TiO2-MWCNTs composite nanoparticles were embedded evenly within the thermally responsive copolymer of NIPAM and MAH-β-CD. The effects of irradiation time and TiO2-MWCNTs concentration on the yield of the composites were investigated by keeping NIPAM to MAH-β- CD mass ratio constant. The optimal polymerization reaction conditions were a TiO2-MWCNTs concentration of 10 wt.% under UV light for the illumination of 3 h.

thermosensitive liposomes(TSLs) have been an important research area in the field of tumor targeted chemotherapy. Since the first TSLs appeared that using 1,2-dipalmitoyl-snglyce-ro-3-phosphocholine(DPPC) as the primary liposomal lipid, many studies have been done using this type of liposome from basic and practical aspects. While TSLs composed of DPPC enhance the cargo release near the phase transition temperature, it has been shown that many factors affect their temperature sensitivity. Thus numerous attempts have been undertaken to develop new TSLs for improving their thermal response performance. The main objective of this review is to introduce the development and recent update of innovative TSLs formulations, including combination of radiofrequency ablation(RFA), highintensity focused ultrasound(HIFU), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and alternating magnetic field(AMF). In addition, various factors affecting the design of TSLs, such as lipid composition, surfactant, size and serum components are also discussed.

The in situ gelling hybrid hydrogel system has been reported to effectively concentratechemotherapeutic drugs at the tumor site and sustain their release for a long period. DTX-micelles(docetaxel-loaded mixed micelles) are able to increase the solubility of DTX inwater, and then a high drug loading rate of hydrogels can be achieved by encapsulatingthe docetaxel-loaded mixed micelles into the hydrogels. The thermosensitive nature ofDTX-MM-hydrogels(thermosensitive hydrogels incorporated with docetaxel-loaded mixedmicelles) can accelerate the formation of a depot of this drug-loaded system at the siteof administration. Therefore, the hydrogels provide a much slower release compared withDTX-micelles and DTX-injection. An in vivo retention study has demonstrated that the DTX-MM-hydrogels can prolong the drug retention time and in viv o trials have shown that theDTX-MM-hydrogels have a higher antitumor efficacy and systemic safety. In conclusion, theDTX-MM-hydrogels prepared in this study have considerable potential as a drug deliverysystem, with higher tumor inhibition effects and are less toxic to normal tissues.

New thermosensitive microgel particles produced by using N-vinylcaprolactam(VCL) N-vinylpyrrolidone(NVP) and N,N’-methylenbisacrylamide(MBA).The microgel has been studied by Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),dynamic light scatteringand(DLS) and Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM).The influence of the comonomer on polymerization characteristics of such thermosensitive particles was studied.A dramatic decrease in the liquid dynam volume diameter(Dz) is observed during the phase transition near 37°*** surface of the microgel particles is sphericity when the weight of NVP is the weight of VCL 10 wt%.

A glucose-sensitive polymer,poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-2-acrylamidophenylboronic acid)(P(NIPAM-co-2-AAPBA)),was synthesized by reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)*** of glucose results in reduced solubility and hence increased turbidity,rather than the normal increase in solubility(decreased turbidity)observed for other PBA-based glucose-sensitive *** novel glucose-sensitive behavior is explained by a new mechanism,in which glucose acts as an additive and depresses the lower critical solution temperature(LCST)of the polymer,instead of increasing solubility by increasing the degree of ionization of the PBA *** and theoretic analysis for the influence of glucose on the thermal behavior of P(NIPAM-co-2-AAPBA)reveals that glucose depresses the LCST of P(NIPAM-co-2-AAPBA)copolymers in a two-stage manner,a fast decrease at low glucose concentrations followed by a slow decrease at high glucose *** low glucose concentrations,the binding of glucose with PBA groups on the polymer chain increases the number of glucose molecules proximal to the polymer which influences the thermal behavior of the polymer,causing a rapid decrease in ***,the transition occurs at a glucose concentration equal to the reciprocal of the binding constant between PBA and glucose,thus providing a novel method to determine the binding *** saccharides,including mannose,galactose and fructose,also depress the LCST of P(NIPAM-co-2-AAPBA)copolymer in the same way.
