Spatio-temporal distribution of Konosirus punctatus spawning and nursing ground in the south yellow sea

In recent years,Konosirus punctatus has accounted for a large portion in catch composition and become important economic species in the south yellow ***,the distribution of *** early life stages is still poorly *** this study,generalized additive models with Tweedie distribution were used to analyze the relationships between *** ichthyoplankton and environmental factors(longitude and latitude,sea surface temperature(SST),sea surface salinity(SSS)and depth),and predict distribution *** spawning ground and nursing ground,based on samplings collected in 6 months during 2014–*** results showed that ***’spawning ground were mainly distributed in central and north study area(from 33.0°N to 37.0°N).By comparison,the nursing ground shifted southward,which were approximately located along central and south coast of study area(from 31.7°N to 35.5°N).The optimal models identified that suitable SST,SSS and depth for eggs were 19–26℃,25–30 and 9–23 m,*** suitable SSS for larvae were 29–*** *** spawning habit might have changed in the past decades,which was a response to increasing SST and fishing *** needs to be proved in further *** study provides references of conservation and exploitation for ***.

Prediction of Petroleum Prospect in the south yellow sea Basin Using Satellite Remote Sensing

Using satellite remote sensing to measure the sea surface temperature of the East China sea Shelf Basin can serve the purpose of predicting the petroleum prospect in the south yellow sea Basin. The satellite thermal infrared temperature anomaly area always repeats in the same position as the proved oil prospect area in the East China sea Shelf Basin, and coincides well with both the CH4 content curve at the water-atmosphere interface and the seafloor geochemical anomaly. The sea surface temperature anomaly areas of the south yellow sea Basin in the satellite remote sensing image go banded along 123030, in the S-N direction, and naturally follow the aeromagnetically interpreted eastern nose-type uplift that shows a S-N strike. The north and south ends of the eastern nose are considered as good oil prospect areas because temperature anomaly often occurs there.

seasonal Suspended Particles Distribution Patterns in Western south yellow sea Based on Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Observation

An Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler （ADCP） observation site was set up in the Western south yellow sea from 2012 to 2013 to study the local suspended particle matters （SPM） distribution pattern. The SPM concentration could be semi-quantitatively represented by backscatter intensity （Sv）, converted by the echo intensity （E/） of ADCP. Results show two types of SPM in the water column： the quasi-biological SPM and quasi-mineral SPM. The quasi-biological SPM mainly exists in summer half year and is con- centrated above the thermocline. It has periodically diurnal variations with high concentration at night and low concentration in the daytime. The quasi-mineral SPM is located in lower part of the water column, with similar relation to monthly tidal current variation all year round. However, the daily quasi-mineral SPM distribution patterns vary between summer and winter half year. The sunlight is thought to be the origin factor leading to the diurnally vertical motion of the biological features, which might cause the diurnal Sv variation. Unlike in winter half year when tidal current is relatively single driving force of the monthly SPM pattern, the high speed current near the thermocline is also responsible for the concentration of quasi-mineral SPM in summer half year. The sediment input difference between summer and winter half year contribute to the varied daily variation of quasi-mineral SPM with re-suspended SPM ir~ winter and sediments from yellow sea Mud Area （YSMA） in summer. The seasonal variations in hydrodynamics, water structure and heavy-wind incidents are the primary factors influencing the differential seasonal SPM distribution patterns.

A new off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy(ICOS) is coupled to Weiss equilibrator for continuous high-resolution dissolved methane measurement in the surface *** time constant for the equilibrator in freshwater at room temperature is determined via dis-equilibration and re-equilibration *** constant for methane is about 40 *** system is calibrated using a standard gas of 3.980×10,and the precision of the ICOS for methane is 0.07%.This system is equipped onboard to measure the spatial distribution in methane concentrations of south yellow sea(SYS) along the cruise track from Shanghai to *** shows that the methane concentration varies from 2.79 to 36.36 nmol/L,reveals a significant pattern of methane source in SYS,and a distinct decreasing trend from south to *** peak value occurs at the coast area outside mouth of the Changjiang River,likely to be affected by the Changjiang diluted water mass dissolving a large amount of rich in ***,all the surface waters are oversaturated,air-to-sea fluxes range from 98.59 to 5 485.35μmol/(m·d)(average value 1 169.74=1=1 398.46 μmol/(m·d)),indicating a source region for methane to the atmosphere.
