Cultural ties are the foundation and the key fact of Sino-Turkish relationship. The Sino-Turkish cultural ties revolve the succession and development of the sprit of the silk road constituted by reciprocal economic concepts, inclusive humanistic concepts and cooperative security concepts. It can also provide an example to multi-ethnic and multi-religious integration issues in global governance. The Sino-Turkish culture ties shoulder the missions of enhancing value communication, mutual trust and consensus against terrorism, which adds new connotation and new methods for China and Turkey, two powers at the ends of the silk road, to further deepen the bilateral relationship. China’s silk road strategy has created new opportunities to the cultural ties between China and Turkey, which is conducive to promote the relationship between China and the Arab-Islamic world and expand China’s influence in the Europe so as to promote the relationship between China and the West. A new mode of the Sino-Turkish silk road strategic cooperation can be established based on the silk road which connects Europe and Asia.

The Shu road is an important part of the silk road.As the transfer station for connecting the Maritime silk road with the Overland silk road and the starting point of the Southwestern silk road,Shu Yuandu Dao Route(Sichuan-India road)-the predecessor of the Southwestern silk road,was the cultural exchange passage for China and its overseas neighbors before the opening of the famous Overland silk road.According to many archaeological findings and materials,Buddhism was introduced into the Central Plains along the silk road during the first century BC.Meanwhile,it was introduced into Bashu(the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas)along the Southwest silk road during the Eastern Han Dynasty(25-220)and was integrated into local cultures,which lead to the creation of the brilliant Buddhist culture and arts.

Indeed, establishing a new journal in the field of almost 200 existing international titles proves to be a difficult task. However, colleagues around the world were soon impressed with the quality and rapid turnaround in this new journal. The most exciting and suc- cessful feature of the Journal was its special issues on cur- rent topics in molecular plant sciences that were organized by leading researchers in a particular field.

The eastern silk road is a product of the mutual exchange of material culture and spiritual culture among ancient China and other countries,regions,and nations.It is the result of the contact and collision between eastern and western civilizations.It is also a strong proof that the Chinese nation implements the policy of opening to the outside world.Historically,the silk road served as a bridge of economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries,closely linking ancient Chinese culture with the cultures of central Asia,west Asia,Persia,and even ancient Greek and Roman cultures.In various regions along the eastern silk road,there were many religions,but not only did they rarely fight with each other,but they were able to live in harmony and develop together.On the silk road,various religions developed in parallel,their doctrines absorbed and integrated,and different religions borrowed terms from each other and adopted the forms of other religions,making the silk road a cultural stage for the exchange and integration of religions,which constituted a unique phenomenon in the history of the development of world religions.

Under the background of the silk road Economic Belt,Tang culture tourism in Xi'an has ushered in new opportunities for historical development.This is not only conducive to the promotion of Chinese traditional culture,but also has a profound im⁃pact on improving the status of Xi'an in the world.Among them,the translation work of Tang culture tourism in publicity materials has played a crucial role.Firstly,the background and the current research status at home and abroad are described.Secondly,the problems of Tang culture tourism in Xi'an are explored and analyzed.Finally,the suggestions for the development of Tang culture tourism in Xi'an are put forward from hardware and software development.

Since the silk road was originally built to link China and the west in ancient times, it has contributed to the trade as well as the cultural fusion for over two thousand years. In terms of culture, the silk road has made a great contribution to the development of different culture in diverse regions along the road. the silk road is, not only a channel of exchanging commodities as it was first supposed to be, but a bridge connecting China, middle west Asia, Africa and Europe, for which people will find that the real power hidden behind the silk road is opening and communication.

Genetic diversity and relationships of wild goat grass (Aegilops tauschii Cosson) from Iran and Xinjiang,west China,as well as its weedy type from the Yellow River region of Shaanxi and Henan provinces in China were analyzed by simple sequence repeat (SSR) fingerprints.A high level of genetic diversity in Aegilops tauschii accessions from Iran was observed,and the richness of genetic diversity was followed by accessions from Shaanxi,Henan,and Xinjiang.The weedy type of Aegilops tauschii showed a close genetic relationship with the wild type from different regions in Iran.The results indicated that the weedy Aegilops tauschii found in the Yellow River region was most likely introduced from Iran—the diversity center of Aegilops tauschii.The weedy Aegilops tauschii populations found in the Yellow River region may be brought into the central part of China as a weed species together with common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) from the West during various periods of time in history.This finding has provided strong evidence for the introduction of common wheat from the West into China via the silk road,and also demonstrated the important role of the silk road in the exchange of agri- culture and other relevant technologies between China and the West.

The Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes in China was designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1987 and is famous for its cultural relics. Water is the most active factor that harms the relics in the caves as it damages the grotto murals and painted sculptures. Thus, determining the water sources and driving forces of water movement is a key issue for protecting these cultural relics. These issues have troubled relics protectors for a long time. In this study, the authors chose a representative cave in the Mogao Grottoes and, by completely sealing the cave to make a closed system, measured the water vapor from the surrounding rock. This was accomplished by installing a condensation-dehumidification temperature-humidity control system for the collection of water vapor. The results show that there is continuous evaporation from the deep surrounding rock into the cave. The daily evaporation capacity is determined to be 1.02 g/（d·m2）. The water sources and driving forces of water movement were further analyzed according to the character of the water evaporation and by monitoring the temperature and humidity of the surrounding rock. It was found that the water vapor in the cave derives from phreatic water. Moreover, the yearly fluctuation of temperature in the surrounding rock and geothermal forces are the basic powers responsible for driving phreatic evaporation. Under the action of the yearly temperature fluctuations, decomposition and combination of bound water acts as a ＂pump＂ that drives phreatic water migration and evaporation. When the temperature rises, bound water decomposes and evaporates; and when it falls, the rock absorbs moisture. This causes the phreatic water to move from deep regions to shallow ones. Determining the source and dynamic foundation of the water provides a firm scientific basis for protecting the valuable cultural relics in the caves.
