为了在大规模地形实时渲染过程中提高渲染效率和得到更平滑逼真的地形,该文提出了一种基于GPU tessellation技术的地形可视化方法。该方法首先对地形预处理构建四叉树;使用视锥体裁剪和LOD选择降低CPU-GPU数据传输量;在三角化阶段利用GPU代替传统的CPU进行三角化方法极大地减轻CPU的负担并且提高了渲染速率;同时引入地形粗糙度计算GPU tessellation算法内部细分因子,达到平滑而又不失细节的地形表面渲染效果;以数据细节层次动态设置GPU tessellation算法的外部细分因子消除了T型裂缝。实验结果表明,该方法CPU利用率低,能够以较小计算代价消除T型裂缝,在地形实时交互式漫游系统中能以较高的渲染帧率输出平滑、逼真的三维虚拟数字地形。该文方法可运用到大规模地形可视化系统中。

目的目前全球大规模地形可视化问题基本都衍生于分块LOD(level of detail)方法,该方法在快速地表漫游中依然存在GPU-CPU的数据传输瓶颈,其基于裙边的缝隙修复方法既需要额外资源,还存在依然无法完全消除的痕迹。为解决这些问题,提出了一种GPU网格生成的地形可视化方法。方法结合GPU tessellation方法、基于视点与屏幕空间误差的LOD方法、局部坐标系渲染等算法,使得全球地形可视化的生成效率有明显提高。结果实现了一个全球地形可视化系统GTVS,提供全球高精度地形数据与多分辨率高清卫星影像数据的调度与渲染等。论文对该系统进行了详实的实验和数据分析,相比传统基于GPU的分块LOD方法,FPS(frames per second)提升100%以上,很好地解决了系统瓶颈问题。结论结果表明所提方法实用、鲁棒、扩展性好,可广泛地适用于大规模的全球渲染系统中。

We attempt to describe the role of tessellated models of space within the discipline of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - a speciality coming largely out of Geography and Land Surveying, where there was a strong need to represent information about the land's surface within a computer system rather than on the original paper maps. We look at some of the basic operations in GIS, including dynamic and kinetic applications. We examine issues of topology and data structures, and produced a tessellation model that may be widely applied both to traditional'object'and'field'data *** Part Ⅰ of this study examined object and field spatial models, the Voronoi extension of objects, and the graphs that express the resulting adjacencies. The required data structures were also briefly described, along with 2D and 3D structures and hierarchical indexing. The importance of graph duality was emphasized. Here, this second paper builds on the structures described in the first, and examines how these may be modified:change may often be associated with either viewpoint or time. Incremental algorithms permit additional point insertion, and applications involving the addition of skeleton points, for map scanning, contour enrichment or watershed delineation and simulation. Dynamic algorithms permit skeleton smoothing, and higher order Voronoi diagram applications, including Sibson interpolation. Kinetic algorithms allow collision detection applications, free-Lagrange flow modeling, and pen movement simulation for map drawing. If desired these methods may be extended to 3D. Based on this framework, it can be argued that tessellation models are fundamental to our understanding and processing of geographical space, and provide a coherent framework for understanding the'space'in which we exist.

In last time,the series of virtual internal bond model was proposed for solving rock mechanics *** these models,the rock continuum is considered as a structure of discrete particles connected by normal and shear springs(bonds).It is well announced that the normal springs structure corresponds to a linear elastic solid with a fixed Poisson ratio,namely,0.25 for threedimensional *** the shear springs used to represent the diversity of the Poisson ***,the shearing force calculation is not rotationally invariant and it produce difficulties in application of these models for rock mechanics problems with sufficient *** this letter,we proposed the approach to support the diversity of the Poisson ratio that based on usage of deformable Voronoi cells as set of *** edges of dual Delaunay tetrahedralization are considered as structure of normal springs(bonds).The movements of particle’s centers lead to deformation of tetrahedrals and as result to deformation of Voronoi *** each bond,there are the corresponded dual face of some Voronoi *** can consider the normal bond as some beam and in this case,the appropriate face of Voronoi cell will be a cross section of this *** during deformation the Voronoi face was expand,then,according Poisson effect,the length of bond should be *** above mechanism was numerically investigated and we shown that it is acceptable for simulation of elastic behavior in 0.1–0.3 interval of Poisson *** surprise is that proposed approach give possibility to simulate auxetic materials with negative Poisson’s ratio in interval from–0.5 to–0.1.

In Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferometry, the precise co-registration is a key problem to obtain the fine interferogram. Theoretically, 1/10 pixel accuracy is essential. Once the control points are determined, the relative rectification (pixel re-sampling)is also the important procedure. In this paper,a piecewise transformation algorithm based on Delaunay tessellation algorithm is developed. The strategy is to 'anchor' geographically all control points and transform the imagery on the basis of triangle by triangle. The piecewise algorithm, the accuracy evaluation and the preliminary results are described. The experiment result shows that the piecewise transformation out-performes the traditional polynomial transformation.

随着移动设备性能的逐渐提高,越来越多的图形渲染技术由普通PC移植到了移动平台,但移动设备的计算能力与PC相比依然存在较大差距。对于PC上能够渲染的复杂网格模型,需要进行简化后才能够在移动设备上渲染,而网格简化必然会导致模型的走样。虽然Phong着色可以实现大部分正向面的平滑效果,但是未能解决轮廓部分的不连续性。为了解决这个问题,利用一种基于顶点着色器的实时细化方法,在移动设备上实现了Phong tessellation,达到了模型轮廓部分细化的目的。

Modeled grain structures of normalized carbon steels using voronoi tessellation is reported in this work. Three stages of programming were used in modeling the microstructures. The first stage was iteration of the voronoi cells in order to obtain equivalent grain size with experimental specimens. In the second stage, the pearlite phase was introduced using the lever rule represented by a plot of random points. The third layer was modeled to reveal the grain boundaries of the carbon steels. The values of the grain sizes of modeled microstructures showed good agreement with experimental values. The study has shown that the microstructures can be modeled fairly accurately thus enabling a fairly quick export of geometric models on to some other finite element packages for analysis of stress-strain effect on microstructure and generally a stressmicrostructure response could be determined.
