This arti cle is to analyze the advantages of weblog used in Foreign Language teaching from the view of Communicative Language teaching, bring forward to the Multimodal and Multi-way Communication mode of Communicative Language teaching with the web support, and sum up the pedagogic strategies of how to used weblog for Communicative Language teaching. We hope it can help teachers effectively use weblog to improve their Foreign Language teaching.

The purpose of this study is to achieve two ***,to compare the effectiveness of philosophy classes in two administrative classes of Liupanshui Normal University,and to explore the influence of the strategies used by the teachers in the two administrative classes in philosophy teaching on the ***,through the comparison and discussion of the first point,this paper puts forward the implementation strategies to improve the effectiveness of philosophy classroom,so that students can accept and absorb these knowledge points to the maximum extent to improve the teaching *** Normal University is located in a remote mountain area of China,so students don't have enough knowledge and guidance in ***,it is necessary to improve students'philosophical quality through effective classroom practice,so that they can better adapt to the *** case study as the research method,this paper conducted observation,questionnaire survey,interview and literature analysis on philosophy teachers,students,parents,employers and school *** results show that the effect of traditional teaching methods is not as good as audio-visual teaching tools,and the application of audio-visual materials in philosophy teaching has successfully endowed students with higher intellectual value and stimulated their creativity and innovative *** addition,continuous improvement in teachers'emphasis on evaluation feedback,interaction and knowledge literature learning has a positive impact on students,as these strategies encourage them to use higher-level thinking skills.

Purpose:This study explores the effectiveness of a A Balanced Reading Approach for Children Always Designed to Achieve Best Results for All(ABRACADABRA;hereinafter,ABRA)-a webbased literacy program designed by Concordia University in Canada-on third-grade students in Nanjing,***/Approach/Methods:Participants comprised 999 students from three treatment schools(N=711)and three control schools(N=288).Three different approaches were used in the treatment schools:namely,a computer laboratory once a week,noontime study after lunch,and single-game instruction(SG)during every English *** were also conducted with teachers,producing qualitative ***:Following 20 weeks of intervention,the overall effect size was *** SG group reflected the smallest effect size(d=-0.52).The noontime study group produced an effect size of 0.39,and the laboratory group an effect size of *** study conducted interviews with teachers to gain a qualitative understanding of the differential *** doing so,this study found that teachers in the SG group were poorly motivated due to a lack of school support and heavy workload,resulting in passive roles and low ABRA program ***/Value:The results of this study indicate that ABRA is an effective means of improving Chinese students*English literacy *** also underscore the need for critical measures to encourage teachers to actively participate in the program.

Minimizing Distance Using Just-in-Time teaching and Flipped Classroom

JiTT （Just-in-Time teaching） and flipped classroom are two innovations in academia where high-tech and no-tech resources are blended to encourage more interaction and creativity among students. These two methods also help minimize the dependency on face-to-face lecture and make the class time more creative and effective. This study is the very first attempt of implementing these strategies in Bangladesh. It explores the prospect of JiTT and flipped classroom at tertiary level in Bangladesh. In the first part of this paper, recent studies on JiTT and flipped classroom are discussed to shed light on their effectiveness and problems. The latter part explains the data and research findings. Before collecting the data, JiTT and flipped classroom were used with 33 students of undergraduate level who were students of＂ELT Methodology＂ course. After the implementation of the methods, a questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data regarding their response to these two methods. The study reveals that JiTT and flipped classroom help cover more topics in a short time while enhancing students＇ interaction and participation. They make students come to the class prepared and reflect on their learning. Teachers can understand students need better and provide required feedback. The overall interaction among students and teachers can be improved using JiTT and flipped classroom since everyone is clear about each other＇s existing knowledge and learning objectives.

Considering the special needs and the learning styles of their learners, foreign language teachers should use the most effective methods or approaches which are appropriate for their teaching strategies. Redundant or a diverse range of teaching techniques are not meant to use in the process of their learners＇ acquiring new vocabulary items; instead, the most effective and to the point teaching techniques in terms of each language skill should be employed. Efficiency of language learners in terms of their command of the vocabulary can be assessed through their understanding any reading or listening context and managing to be productive in speaking or writing procedures in language acquisition process. Phonological, morpho-syntactic, or socio-pragmatic positions of new lexical items as well as the learners＇ learning styles and multiple intelligences should all be taken into consideration by language teachers so that their learners could really reach an efficient level of vocabulary power. This efficiency has been identified as having a language passport in terms of the proficiency level of the learners within the CEFR （Common European Framework of Reference） for Languages by all EU countries in recent years. Foreign language teachers should try very hard to supply their learners with the required qualifications in every language skill so that they can have a linguistic identity both in their own societies and inter-cultural or multi-cultural contexts. Within this framework, foreign language teachers will hopefully make use of any suggested approach presented in this study so as to widen their learners＇ horizons in language acquisition process.

The Misuse of Tense and Aspect in Online English Writing: A Comparison Between Liberal Arts and Engineering Undergraduates

The core issue concerning the usage of tense and aspect is seen as significantly important(Michaelis,1994;Swales and Feak,2000),especially in English writing in *** study identifies the erroneous use of tense and aspect in liberal arts students' writing in comparison with that of engineering students' to examine their application ability in writing and identify areas of English learning in need of intensive *** paper displays the frequency rates of errors about two English tenses(the present and the past),two aspects(the progressive and the perfect)based on an online writing corpus of students in two majors,which leads to the result that students in both majors are more likely to make mistakes in the present time and perfect aspect,liberal arts students less *** addition,engineering students writing score seems to be more related to their grammatical errors than that of liberal arts *** improve their writings,practical teaching strategies such as being aware of cross-lingual influence,practicing grammar on context level,personalized instructions,are also provided.

In a constantly changing environment, accountants must not only acquire technical accounting knowledge and skills, but also acquire integrity, objectivity and the skills that enable them to take a firm stand in difficult situations. The purpose of this study is to know how to effectively incorporate business ethics in the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy （BSA） curriculum at De La Salle University （DLSU）, Manila. Discussions in this paper focused on the responses of the students on what teaching strategies may prove to be effective when teaching business ethics subjects. Results of this study revealed that students ranked as the most effective the teaching strategy sub-group learning through ethical discussion and collaborative learning followed by the lecture method. Role playing and/or film viewing was ranked third. Inviting guest speaker for practitioner participation, case study method, personal value journals, and service learning were ranked fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively. It is interesting to note that students ranked last/eighth the teaching strategy using the technology-enhanced learning or E-learning when teaching business ethics. This can give us an idea that even though the current generations of students are adept in using the computer and the Internet, they would still prefer actual classroom experiences in learning ethics courses.
