The principle of structural integrity management（SIM） is introduced into management of mobile offshore *** on SIM process which consists of four primary elements of data,evaluation,strategy,and program,the requirements of damage evaluation,fitness-for-purpose assessment,inspection planning,strengthening and mitigation measures can be realized for mobile offshore units.A structure safety management system developed based on the theory of SIM is then recommended and practice shows that SIM can be effectively applied to the mobile offshore units and its application is of great significance on the safe operation and scientific management of the platforms.
