We report the discovery of superconductivity and detailed normal-state.physical properties of RbV_(3)Sb_(5) single crystals with V kagome lattice.RbV_(3)Sb_(5) single crystals show a superconducting transition at Tc~0.92 K.Meanwhile,resistivity,magnetization and heat capacity measurements indicate that it exhibits anomalies of properties at T*~102-103 K,possibly related to the formation of charge ordering state.When T is lower than T*,the Hall coefficient RH undergoes a drastic change and sign reversal from negative to positive,which can be partially explained by the enhanced mobility of hole-type carriers.In addition,the results of quantum oscillations show that there are some very small Fermi surfaces with low effective mass,consistent with the existence of multiple highly dispersive Dirac band near the Fermi energy level.

The energy spectra and the wave function depending on the c-factor are investigated for a more general Woods–Saxon potential(MGWSP)with an arbitrary l-state.The wave functions are expressed in terms of the Jacobi polynomials.Two potentials are obtained from this MGWSP as the special cases.These special potentials are Hulthen and the standard Woods–Saxon potentials.We also discuss the energy spectrum and wave function for the special cases.

In this paper, we give further discussions about our new method of bond spherical har-monics with equal number of near neighborst, and study the molten salt LiCl and itsquenching process by means of molecular dynamics simulation. The bond order parametersQ_l at different temperatures are calculated by averaging the Q_l values of the computer-generated instantaneous configurations at each time-step. By consulting the Q_l histogramsof the linear combination models with a parameter of square deviation σ we find that theQ_l Listograms from the simulation and those from the combination model with 90% localtetrahedron structure are very similar. The results indicate that the local bond orientationin the quenched LiCl system tends strongly to be tetrahedron. The local bond-orientationalorders in the quenching process can be described by the same linear combination, but thesquare deviation varies with the temperature. The square deviation decreases with thelowering of temperature and drops rapidly when the glass transition takes place. The bondangle distributions are also calculated and it is found that the angles gather about 109°(the=bond angle of tetrahedron) and the peaks of the distributions Lave a wider spread as temper-iature increases, in accordance with the results from Q_l.

Using the method of finite temperature real time Green’s function, the equations of state.f the chemical potential-density for finite asymmetric nuclear matter are derived. The ef-fects of the Coulomb potential and the rearrangement potential on liquid-gas phase transitionin the nuclear matter with Skyrme interactions are discussed.

Angular distributions for the 12C(d, p)13C transfer reactions have been measured at Ed = 11.8 MeV, and compared with those of the DWBA calculations. By means of this comparison, density distributions of the last neutron in the ground state.and the first 1/2+ state.of 13C are extracted. The properties of these state. in 13C have also been studied in the framework of the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory with NL-SH parameters. It is found that the first l/2+ state.in 13C is a neutron halo state.shown by both the experimental and theoretical density distributions of the last neutron.

A type of special two-mode squeezed coherent state.is constructed which is a characteristic of squeezing and displacing related. The new state. take simpler and neater form than the usual two-mode squeezed coherent state., and also possess a completeness relation. It is expected that experimentalists woking on quantum optics should fabricate such a type of squeezed coherent optical field.

Polaritons are quasi-particles composed of a superposition of excitons and photons that can be created within a strongly coupled optical microcavity.Here,we describe a structure in which a strongly coupled microcavity containing an organic semiconductor is coupled to a second microcavity containing a series of weakly coupled inorganic quantum wells.We show that optical hybridisation occurs between the optical modes of the two cavities,creating a delocalised polaritonic state.By electrically injecting electron–hole pairs into the inorganic quantum-well system,we are able to transfer energy between the cavities and populate organic-exciton polaritons.Our approach represents a new strategy to create highly efficient devices for emerging‘polaritonic’technologies.

INTRODUCTION Although the content of one's consciousness changes through time(eg,personality changes),their identity or psychological continuity still,somehow,remains the same.In fact,typical human self-continuity-the unity of consciousness over timespreads out over a period of hours,from one episode of dreamless sleep to a waking state.I wake up,eat breakfast,take a shower,get dressed,go to the institute and start the routine work of my scientific life.I am conscious the whole time,and the experiences I have at each phase of my morning,belong to a single stream of consciousness.
