In this paper, the fully actuated system(FAS) approaches for continuous-time systems with time-varying state delays are proposed. Two types of continuous-time high-order FAS models with time delays: single-order time-delay FAS models and multi-order time-delay FASs, are proposed. Particularly, the type of sub-FASs that do not completely but partially satisfy the full actuation is investigated, and the sets of feasible points are defined. When the system states are constrained to the feasible set, a controller can be easily constructed for the sub-FAS such that the closed-loop system is a constant linear system with an arbitrarily assignable eigenstructure. In addition, it is demonstrated that the feasibility constraint can be transformed into a constraint on the initial values of the system, which vanishes when the system is a(global)FAS. Based on the unique control characteristic of the type of FAS models, the concepts of controllability and stabilizability of general dynamical time-delay systems are also proposed. The effect of the proposed theories is illustrated with examples.

This paper analyzes the limiting behavior of stochastic linear-quadratic optimal control problems in finite time-horizon[0,T]as T→∞.The so-called turnpike properties are established for such problems,under stabilizability condition which is weaker than the controllability,normally imposed in the similar problem for ordinary differential systems.In dealing with the turnpike problem,a crucial issue is to determine the corresponding static optimization problem.Intuitively mimicking the deterministic situations,it seems to be natural to include both the drift and the diffusion expressions of the state equation to be zero as constraints in the static optimization problem.However,this would lead us to a wrong direction.It is found that the correct static problem should contain the diffusion as a part of the objective function,which reveals a deep feature of the stochastic turnpike problem.

In this note, we investigate the problem of stabilization for second order switched systems by means of output feedback control and switching design. Under mild conditions, we design the output feedback and switching signal to exponentially stabilize the switched systems. Meanwhile, we optimize the switching signal to achieve nonovershooting of the output.

This paper investigates the mean-square stability and stabilizability of a class of multi-input networked control systems with random transmission delay.It generalizes the single-input case in terms of parallel transmission strategy.It is shown that the mean-square stability criterion of the stochastic system still obeys a nonlinear-type mean-square small gain theorem,in which the channel noise-to-signal ratio and the nominal system cannot be separated.The explicit stabilizability bounds for a simplified systems with single unstable pole and relative degrees being zero and one are also provided.

This paper studies the mean square stabilizability of linear discrete-time systems over a lossy digital communication channel.The packet losses process of the channel is modeled as a time-homogeneous binary Markov process.The temporal correlations of the channel and stochastically time-varying data rate due to packet losses pose a significant challenge,which is solved by developing a randomly sampled system approach.It is shown that the number of additional bits to counter effects of the Markovian packet losses on stabilizability is exactly quantified by the magnitude of the unstable mode and the transition probabilities.Our result contains existing results on data rate and packet dropout rate for stabilizability of linear systems as special cases.Necessary and sufficient conditions on the minimum data rate problem for vector systems are also provided respectively and shown to be optimal for some special cases.

On Stabilizability of Time-Delay Boolean Networks

The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate stability and stabilizability for a kind of time-delay Boolean networks, whose characteristic is that the system state is periodically sampled. Firstly, by analyzing state trajectories, this time-delay system is split into several subsystems. Then some necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for stability and stabilizability. In particular, an important conclusion shows that some properties like stability and observability of BNs are not affected by the length of the sampling period. Secondly, an interesting algorithm of the control sequence which makes the system globally stabilize to a fixed point is established. Finally, two numerical examples are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

＜正＞This paper is concerned with the problem of local stabilization of a class of nonlinear uncertain control systems. First, by means of center manifold theory, a lower order system is obtained and it is verified that the original system is stable if the lower system is stable. Then, some sufficient conditions for stabilization of nonlinear uncertain systems are given and finally, an example is shown to the effectiveness of the proposed control law.
