Cartography and maps support the continuous rising of the awareness of the power of spatial data,which further lays a foundation for the popularity of various location based services and applications in society.Cartography and Geographic Information System education has been a core activity in the cartographic academic community for knowledge creation and transfer in higher education institutions.Maps in primary and high schools play a unique role across disciplines to build the spatial thinking capacities of young generations.Over years educators train students via lectures and lab works into which digital technologies are gradually incorporated.The COVID-19 pandemic has been fast forwarding our pace to employ digital technologies in online teaching and learning.Teachers are passively or proactively adapted to conduct their teaching online and redesign their lectures and assessments of students’performance.On another side,students are getting used to online learning even more quickly with various digital devices in an interactive and collective way.It creates opportunities for cartographic GIS educators to build a body of knowledge for cartography which can be used to build open source educational resources systematically.Further flexible curriculum can be designed and implemented for professional and continuous education and training at various levels.Future education of cartography and GIS can improve map literacy and make a sustainable education.

A growing number of educators worldwide have become convinced that geotechnologiesincluding geographic information systems(GIS),global positioning systems(GPS),and remote sensingare key technologies to prepare students to be tomorrow’s decision makers.Grappling with local,regional,and global issues of the 21st century requires people who think spatially and who can use geotechnologies.Some educators teach geotechnologies as a discipline,emphasising skills.Other educators use geotechnologies as a tool to teach content,such as geography,history,environmental studies,Earth Science,biology,mathematics,economics and other disciplines.Issues such as traffic,population growth,urban sprawl,energy,water,crime,human health,biodiversity and sustainable agriculture are growing in complexity,exist at every scale and increasingly affect people’s everyday lives.Each of these issues has a spatial component.Drivers for geotechnology education include educational content standards,constructivism,the school-to-career movement,active learning,citizenship education,authentic practice and assessment,interdisciplinary education,community connections and a sustained,increasing demand for GIS professionals.Digital Earth is an ideal framework for contextualising domains of inquiry.The Digital Earth community can have a significant impact on the growth of geotechnologies in education,and conversely,the growth of geotechnologies in education and society can foster the forward movement of Earth systems concepts.

The concept of the divergence is fundamental in electromagnetic field theory, yet they are especially difficult mathematical concepts. Understanding this concept requires strong spatial and abstract thinking. When teaching, through the graphical and quantitative methods presented herein, the significance of the divergence is displayed by a quantitative method for the first time. Through these methods, the concepts of the divergence can be grasped more easily. These explanations will be helpful for students to strengthen the understanding of this concept and has a certain reference significance.

本文梳理了旅游研究的不同视角及若干学术问题，主要关注旅游的本质和现实意义、应对旅游需求变化的主要思维、旅游研究深化中需要关注的问题等3个话题。首先，本文从旅游的必需性、时空性视角探索旅游的本质，并基于多个维度对旅游体验类型进行划分；其次，从场景思维、平台思维等4个方面提出了应对旅游需求变化的基本方向；最后，就推动旅游学术研究，提出在方法上要注意采取“问题的学术”、在数据选择上要注意“学术的道德”两个核心问题。
