Objective The present research was designed to study the depressive-like and anxiety-like behaviours as well as the social interactions in a repeated social defeat stress,a mice model of *** In this model,C57BL/6J mice were repeatedly subjected to bouts of social defeat stress on 10 consecutive days by different larger and aggressive CD-1 *** 10 days of social defeat stress or control home cage housing,a battery of behavioral tests（i.e.,social interaction test,elevated plus-maze test,forced swimming test,sucrose preference test） were *** In social interaction test,susceptible mice spent significantly more time in the corner zone than in the interaction zone;meanwhile both control and resilient mice spent significantly more time in the interaction zone when CD-1 mouse as a target was ***,susceptible mice spent less time in open arms in elevated plus-maze test and had reduced struggling time and enhanced immobility time in forced swimming test,compared with control ***,the social defeat stress did not significantly lower the percentage of sucrose water the susceptible mice *** Repeated social defeat stress induced not only defeated and subordinate behavior but also some depressive-like and anxiety-like behaviors.

Pathogenesis of chronic social defeat stress model induced depressive-like mouse model according to LC-MS/MS-based metabolomics

OBJECTIVE To explore the pathogenesis of depression according to the LC-MS/MS-based metabolomics in the mouse model which exhibits social avoidance state induced by the chronic social defeat stress model(CSDS).METHODS Twenty male C57BL/6N mice were randomly divided into control group and model group suffering CSDS,and the ICR retired breeder mice were used to attack the model group for 14 d of chronic social defeated *** open field test and source preference test were both used to observe depression-like ***,the social interaction test is used to observe the social interaction state,*** the stress,the serum samples of mice were collected,and the changes of endogenous metabolites were analyzed by LC-MS metabolomics technology,and the pathway analysis of the differential metabolites was performed to explore the pathogenesis of the CSDS induced depressive-like mouse *** After the stress of CSDS was completed,the mice in the model group showed a significant slowdown in body weight growth,a reduction in the source preference rate,and a significant reduction in the total distance and the number of rearing in the open field ***,the social interaction rate is remarkably *** are 24 differential metabolites found in the serum of CSDS model *** The mouse who suffered CSDS stress would show depressive-like *** on the LC-MS/MS metabolomics,24 differential metabolites were found in the serum of CSDS model *** amino acid metabolism might be significant to the pathogenesis of the CSDS induced depressive-like mouse model.
