Commwarrior worm is capable of spreading through both Bluetooth and multimedia messaging service （MMS） in smart phone networks. According to the propagation characteristics of Bluetooth and MMS, we built the susceptibleexposed-infected-recovered-dormancy （SEIRD） model for the Bluetooth and MMS hybrid spread mode and performed the stability analysis. The simulation results show good correlation with our theoretical analysis and demonstrate the effectiveness of this dynamic propagation model. On the basis of the SEIRD model, we further discuss at length the influence of the propagation parameters such as user gather density in groups, moving velocity of smart phone, the time for worm to replicate itself, and other interrelated parameters on the propagation of the virus. On the basis of these analytical and simulation results, some feasible control strategies will be proposed to restrain the spread of mobile worm such as commwarrior on smart phone network.

In this paper, a case study of MALL in a vocational college in JiangSu province in China is provided. Three classes of freshmen of this college were selected to learn English in three alternative methods: traditional paper-based learning for Class 1, voluntary mobile learning with a mobile app for Class 2 and free learning(either paper-based or mobile learning) for Class 3. In this study, we kept our focus mostly on Class 2. Different learning channels were open for these participants to choose the best suitable way for their own learning. Most participants in class 2 and 3 demonstrated positive feedbacks for learning with the mobile app "smart phone Class". The possible correlations among different learning channels were illustrated for a systematic consideration of EFL with mobile technology. Weakness and possible improvement were also listed for further research and implementation in vocational education system of China.

This study aims to empirically analyze the relationship between boss’s innovativeness and adopting a smart phone on secretaries’ work and work type *** the relationship between secretaries’ work type change and organizational effectiveness was *** was collected through questionnaires to the secretaries who are currently working in various *** test the hypotheses,we conducted regression analyses using SPSS *** was found that secretaries’ work types,such as documentation,financial recordkeeping,meeting management,and schedule management,changed more significantly when smart phone was adopted by management than when it was adopted by individual secretaries *** study shows that these changes contribute in improving organizational effectiveness of secretaries such as job satisfaction,organizational commitment and career commitment.

Road condition is an important variable to measure in order to decrease road and vehicle operating/maintenance costs, but also to increase ride comfort and traffic safety. By using the built-in vibration sensor in smart phones, it is possible to collect road roughness data which can be an indicator of road condition up to a level of Class 2 or 3 in a simple and cost efficient way. Since data collection therefore is possible to be done more frequently, one can better monitor roughness changes over time. The continuous data collection can also give early warnings of changes and damage, enable new ways to work in the operational road maintenance management, and can serve as a guide for more accurate surveys for strategic asset management and pavement planning. Collected measurement data are wirelessly transferred by the operator when needed via a web service to an internet mapping server with spatial filtering functions. The measured data can be aggregated in preferred sections, as well as exported to other GlS （geographical information systems） or road management systems. Our conclusion is that measuring roads with smart phones can provide an efficient, scalable, and cost-effective way for road organizations to deliver road condition data.

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the emerging m-learning in the form of smart phones in English grammar teaching. The research mainly traces revision process of 100 sophomore students using traditional paperwork practice and smart-phone-based revision methods during half semester of grammar learning. During the research, students＇ learning performances, as well as their self-report reflections, are recorded, compared, and analyzed. Statistics from the research show that students in general prefer the m-learning revision methods than the traditional paper ones. Besides, the modem methods do play an essential role in motivating students＇ learning initiatives, and thus resulting in better learning outcomes. However, on the other hand, some of the students surveyed also demonstrate their negative impression on the m-learning methods, in that they believe this modem technology can inevitably distract them from learning and there are also some technical problems to be worked out.

This paper presents information on a portable fall detection and alerting system mainly consisting of a custom vest and a mobile smart phone. A wearable motion detection sensor integrated with tri-axial accelerometer, gyroscope and Bluetooth is built into a custom vest worn by elderly. The vest can capture the reluctant acceleration and angular velocity about the activities of daily living(ADLs) of elderly in real time. The data via Bluetooth is then sent to a mobile smart phone running a fall detection program based on k-NN algorithm. When a fall occurs the phone can alert a family member or health care center through a call or emergent text message using a built in Global Positioning System. The experimental results show that the system discriminates falls from ADLs with a sensitivity of 95%, and a specificity of 96.67%. This system can provide remote monitoring and timely help for the elderly.

This paper is concerned with the problem of estimating the relative orientation between an inertial measurement unit(IMU) and a camera. Unlike most existing IMU-camera calibrations, the main challenge in this paper is that the information output from the IMU is incomplete. For example, only two tilt information can be read from the gravity sensor of a smart phone. Despite incomplete inertial information, there are strong restrictions between the IMU and camera coordinate systems. This paper addresses the incomplete information based IMUcamera calibration problem by exploiting the intrinsic restrictions among the coordinate transformations. First,the IMU transformation between two poses is formulated with the unknown IMU information. Then the defective IMU information is restored using the complementary visual information. Finally, the Levenberg-Marquardt(LM)algorithm is applied to estimate the optimal calibration result in noisy environments. Experiments on both synthetic and real data show the validity and robustness of our algorithm.
