Background:The prevalence of skin diseases and diabetes mellitus(DM)are prominent around the *** current scope of knowledge regarding the prevalence of skin diseases and comorbidities with type 2 DM(T2DM)is limited,leading to limited recognition of the correlations between skin diseases and ***:We collected 383 subjects from the Da Qing Diabetes Study during the period from July 9th to September 1st,*** subjects were categorized into three groups:Normal glucose tolerance(NGT),impaired glucose tolerance(IGT),and *** prevalence and clinical characteristics of skin diseases were recorded and ***:In this cross-sectional study,383 individuals with ages ranging from 53 to 89-year-old were *** overall prevalence of skin diseases was 93.5%,and 75.7%of individuals had two or more kinds of skin ***,there were 47 kinds of comorbid skin diseases in patients with T2DM,of which eight kinds of skin diseases had a prevalence>10%.The prevalence of skin diseases in NGT,IGT,and T2DM groups were 93.3%,91.5%,and 96.6%,respectively;stratified analysis by categories showed a statistically significant difference in"disturbances of pigmentation"and"neurological and psychogenic dermatoses".The duration of T2DM also significantly associated with the prevalence of"disturbances of pigmentation"and"neurological and psychogenic dermatoses".Subsequently,the prevalence of"disturbances of pigmentation"was higher in males than females in NGT(Pskin diseases in the Da Qing Diabetes *** address the skin diseases in the Da Qing Diabetes Study,increased awareness and intervention measures should be implemented.

Regulated cell death(RCD)is a critical physiological process essential in maintaining skin *** the various forms of RCD,ferroptosis stands out due to its distinct features of iron accumulation,lipid peroxidation,and involvement of various inhibitory antioxidant *** recent years,an expanding body of research has solidly linked ferroptosis to the emergence of skin ***,understanding the mechanisms underlying ferroptosis in skin diseases is crucial for advancing therapy and prevention *** review commences with a succinct elucidation of the mechanisms that underpin ferroptosis,embarks on a thorough exploration of ferroptosis’s role across a spectrum of skin conditions,encompassing melanoma,psoriasis,systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),vitiligo,and dermatological ailments precipitated by ultraviolet(UV)exposure,and scrutinizes the potential therapeutic benefits of pharmacological interventions aimed at modulating ferroptosis for the amelioration of skin diseases.

Androgens/Androgen Receptor in the Management of skin diseases

Beyond regulation of male sexual function, the increasing evidence shows that androgens and androgen receptor (AR) have a variety of physiological and pathological effects on the skin. skin cells express all androgen metabolizing enzymes that are required for independent skin androgen synthesis and the development of hyperandrogenic related disorders such as acne, hirsutism and androgenetic alopecia. Targeting various elements of androgen function and metabolism is the major goal of medication design for the treatment of androgen-related diseases. Antiandrogen drugs such as clascoterone, flutamide could improve conditions. Even though the involvement of androgens and AR in skin diseases has been investigated for a long time, their molecular mechanisms in skin disorders remain largely insufficient. In this review, recent studies and advances on the role of androgens/AR in several skin-related diseases and their therapeutics are systematically summarized.

A summary about dendritic cells in skin diseases

Dendritic cellls (DCs) comprise an es se ntial component of the immune system, are crucial in the initiation of antigen s pecific immune responses. In this summary we focus on summarizing on the central role of DCs in skin diseases: Bullous dermatoses, Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Lichen Planus , Graft-versus-host disease, Connect Tissue diseases, Virus diseases, Fungi diseases, HIV, Urticaria, Urticaria pigmentosa, Mastocytosis, Tumour, Sola r dermatoses. Moreover,in this summary we review the distribution and phenotype of DCs in human skin. Markers and phenotyps 's study have provided strong suppo rt for a concept in which DCs play an important role in the pothogenesis of som e skin diseases.

Food plant extracts for sleep-related skin health: Mechanisms and prospects

Chronic sleep deficiency, a public health epidemic, triggers an elevated risk for physical and mental disorders and may cause unpleasant sensations or experiences in daily life. Importantly, sleep-associated skin diseases attract public attention because most people have anxiety about their facial appearance in modern society. Amounts of health food, especially derived from edible and efficient plant extracts, have been developed for skincare via improvement of sleep quality. Mechanisms of good sleep and healthy skin have been studied, however, the relationship between sleep-promoting herbs and skincare is less elucidated. In this review, we summarize the main signaling pathways of neurotransmitter-mediated skin beauty and list dozens of functional plant extracts for sleep assistance. We conclude several plant candidates for oral cosmetics application through sleep-related neurotransmitters regulation. This review provides pieces of evidence for the application of oral cosmetic food derived from plant extracts in sleep-related beauty.

Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of Sanguisorbae Radix on contact dermatitis(CD).Methods:Mice were sensitized by painting 30μL of 1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene(DNFB)onto each ear for 3 *** days later,mice were challenged by painting with 50μL of DNFB onto the shaved dorsum every 2 *** Radix methanol extract(MESR)was applied onto the shaved dorsum every 2 *** effects of MESR on skin thickness,skin weights,histopathological changes,skin lesions and cytokine production in DNFB-induced CD mice were investigated,as well as its effects on body weights and spleen/body weight ***:Topical application of MESR effectively inhibited enlargement of skin thickness and weight(Pskin in CD ***,treatment with MESR suppressed the increase in the levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α,Pskin lesions and histopathological changes in inflamed skin tissues.

BACKGROUND There is indication that fecal microbiota transplant(FMT)has the potential to alter the course of chronic skin disease,but few studies have investigated this phenomenon beyond case *** with larger sample sizes is needed to provide a more thorough assessment of possible associations and to establish a broader foundation upon which to base *** To identify associations between FMT and skin conditions,particularly infectious and inflammatory etiologies,and the role of dermatology *** We conducted a retrospective cohort study involving a chart review of all patients whom received FMT between January 2013 and December 2019 at a single academic medical *** follow-up was assessed for the two years after FMT or through March 2020 for more recent *** diagnoses and visits within the study time frame were recorded and assessed for *** study was exploratory in *** statistics were calculated,and the t-test,Pearson’s chi-squared test,and Fisher’s exact test were used to calculate P *** Median age was 38(range,17-90).In total,109 patients who underwent 111 fecal microbiota transplant events were ***-six events(23.4%)involved a dermatology office visit post-procedure,and of these events,20 out of the 26(76.9%)had an infectious or inflammatory skin *** mean time to first visit was 10.0(±7.0)*** most common diagnoses were dermatophyte,wart(s),and dermatitis,though no specific diagnoses predominated in a way indicating FMT had a significant *** patients with a post-FMT skin disease diagnosis had a history of Crohn’s disease compared to those without(P=0.022),but results could be affected by a small sample *** Our study is limited by its retrospective nature,but the findings allow a glimpse at dermatologic conditions *** significant associations were found,but potential associations between FMT and skin disease should

Observation on the Effect of Cutaneous Acupuncture for Erysipelas with Hard Swollen skin

Objective： To observe the clinical efficacy of cutaneous acupuncture in treating erysipelas with hard swollen skin. Methods： A total of 150 erysipelas patients with hard swollen skin were allocated into two groups, an acupuncture group and a control group. The 110 cases in the acupuncture group were treated with skin needle tapping plus external application of Jin Huang San. The 40 cases in the control group were treated with external application of Jin Huang San alone. Comparison was then made between the two groups in the effective rate. Results： The total effective rate for the acupuncture group was 97.3% and the control group 75.0%. The difference in total effective rate was statistically significant between the two groups （P 〈 0.01）. Conclusion： In the treatment of hard swollen skin erysipelas, skin needle tapping combined with external application of Jin Huang San is superior to external application of Jin Huang San alone.
