Dear editor,several types of tumors affect adolescents.Despite being rare,the Ewing sarcoma fami ly of tumors represents the second most common primary bone malignancy in children and adolescents.Paraneoplastic Cushing syndrome i s a wel l-known condi t ion characterized by an ectopic secretion of ACTH(or CRH),and in turn of cortisol by tumor cells.Paraneoplastic Cushing syndrome is however very rare in Ewing sarcoma,and to our knowledge,it was only described once.

The 70th anniversary of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been celebrating in various ways through the year of 2019. DICP was established with the name of Scientific Research Institute of Dalian University on March 19, 1949, which is even a little earlier than the foundation of the People's Republic of China (October 1, 1949). Since then, the name of the institute has changed several times in order to fulfill the assigned regional and national research mission. In 1970, the institute was named as the “Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences”.

We give,in this paper,a monotonicity formula for the Chern-Moser-Weyl curvature tensor under the action of holomorphic embeddings between Levi non-degenerate hypersurfaces with the same positive signature.As an application,we provide some concrete examples of algebraic Levi non-degenerate hypersurfaces with positive signature that are not embeddable into a hyperquadric of the same signature in a complex space of higher dimension.

In this paper, we review on a general theory of orthogonal polynomials in several variables (O.P.S.V) in which we present two different approaches for the three-term recurrence relation. We draw attention to the fact that it is possible to take advantage of the orthogonal projection approach of the three-term recurrence relation towards the development of the algebraic theory of O.P.S.V.

Presented here are the Generalized BCS Equations incorporating Fermi Energy for the study of the {Δ, Tc, jc(T)} values of both elemental and composite superconductors (SCs) for all T ≤ Tc, where Δ, Tc and jc(T) denote, respectively, one of the gap values, the critical temperature and the T-dependent critical current density. This framework, which extends our earlier study that dealt with the {Δ0, Tc, jc(0)} values of an SC, is also shown to lead to T-dependent values of several other related parameters such as the effective mass of electrons, their number density, critical velocity, Fermi velocity (VF), coherence length and the London penetration depth. The extended framework is applied to the jc(T) data reported by Romijn et al. for superconducting Aluminium strips and is shown not only to provide an alternative to the explanation given by them, but also to some novel features such as the role of the Sommerfeld coefficient γ(T) in the context of jc(T) and the role of VF(T) in the context of a recent finding by Plumb et al. about the superconductivity of Bi-2212.
