The research on sensitizer for dye sensitized solar cells based on (metallo)porphyrin/phthalocyanine materials were reviewed, and experimental design and assembly method were advised. Latest progress and research status of sensitizer dyes based on metalloporphyrins applied in dye sensitized solar cells was summarized. The preparation and construction of sensitizer electrodes and dye sensitized solar cells based on metal organic frameworks (MOFs) of (metallo)porphyrin/phthalocyanine were projected.

In this work, we investigate the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on natural dyes extracted from ten different plant seeds. The extracts were characterized by UV-VIS absorption spectra. The solar cells were assembled using a TiO2 mesoporous film on FTO-coated glass. The photovoltaic properties of the DSSCs were studied under an incident irradiation of 100 mW/cm2. The best performance was for the DSSC sensitized with Eruca sativa with a solar energy conversion efficiency of 0.725%. Moreover, the validity of these extracts was compared using two types of semiconductor layers (TiO2 and ZnO), and finally the photovoltaic properties of one of these dyes were studied using different types of electrolytes.

Novel linear and star branched triphenylamine-containing aromatic imides were designed and synthesized by the condensation between amine-substituted triphenylamine and naphthalene-1, 4, 5, 8-tetra-carboxylic dianhydride in order to investigate the influence of topological structure on the photophysical performance. The polyimides were characterized by elementary analysis and FTIR measurements. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) shows that the onset temperatures of decomposition (Td) for 5% mass loss range from 371 to 445 ℃. UV-Vis spectrum, quantum chemical calculation and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used to obtain the dependence of energy levels on the function of structures. The introduction of triphenylamine group changes the energy level of the entire dye system. The dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) prepared by using the dyes have a strong photoelectric current response in visible light region of 400-600 nm.

The low spectrum utilization and the recombination of photo-generated electrons are the main challengesfor improving the performance of dye sensitized solar cells（DSSCs）. In this article, a three-dimensional flower-likeruffle titanittm dioxide（TDF-TiO2） was successfully synthesized via a simple sol-thermal process. X-Ray diffractionpatterns（XRD） and scan electron microscopy（SEM） images exhibit that the TDF-TiO2 are the futile TiO2 microspherecomposed of lots of regular cuboid nanorods. Applying this TDF-TiO2 as light scattering layer on the photoanode ofDSSCs, the devices present an excellent photovoltage performance, yielding a power conversion efficiency（PCE） of7.69%, which can be mainly attributed to the enhanced light utilization and the reduced recombination of pho-to-generated electrons upon a combined analysis of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）, open-circuit vol-tage decay（OCVD）, and intensity-modulated photocurrent spectroscopy and intensity-modulated photo voltage spec-troscopy（IMPS/1MVS）, etc. As a conclusion, TDF-TiO2 is a potential material as light scattering layer and opticaltransition medium to improve the performance of DSSCs, and this work further demonstrated that regulating themorphology and particle size of TiO2 is an efficient approach for enhancing the performance of DSSCs by optimizingthe utilization of light and the transporting behaviors of photo-generated electrons.

In this paper TBP labeled with 32p was used as a probe for detecting the excited speciesof *** γ irradiation of n-hexane-TBP binary system,it was found that TBP was sen-sitized by excited n-hexane molecules and a G value of 1.05 was found for the excited state of *** energy transfer mechanism was proposed,and kinetic equation of sensitization was *** calculation is in agreement with experimental results.

In a continuous effort to pursue the generality on the relationship between photoreaction mechanism and molecular orbital overlap of ground chromophores, a molecule of particular interest is 3-methyl-3-biphenylyl-1-butene, 1, due to the presence of excitation energy gap of 74 kcal/mol, which might make the MO overlap channel of chromophores more efficient.
