An Exploration of Growth and selenium enrichment of selenium-enriched Rice

[Objectives]To explore the effects of selenium fertilizer on rice growth and selenium enrichment.[Methods]Using high-quality rice varieties as experimental materials,exogenous selenium fertilizer was sprayed at two critical periods of tillering stage and full heading stage to explore the effects of different selenium treatments on rice agronomic traits,leaf SPAD value and yield.[Results]Spraying selenium fertilizer could promote the growth of rice,and the selenium enrichment effect in the aboveground parts of the plant was *** selenium content of rice(milled rice)was 0.04-0.07 mg/kg.[Conclusions]This study lays a foundation for the promotion of suitable leaf fertilizers in Zhaoqing City,and is expected to promote the cultivation and promotion of selenium-enriched rice.

Status and distribution of selenium in selenium-enriched peanut sprouts

selenium is one of the essential trace elements in human body,however,due to the limitation of geographic factors,the intake of selenium is seriously insufficient in most *** this study,selenium-enriched peanut sprouts with high selenium content were prepared by soaking peanut seeds in sodium *** content and distribution of selenium in germinated peanuts were *** results showed that 200μmol/L sodium selenite and germination for 6 days resulted in the highest total selenium,organic selenium content,and organic selenium conversion in peanut *** exists in peanut sprouts mainly in organic selenium form,of which selenoproteins are the most critical organic selenium *** free radical scavenging capacity and reducing power assays showed that alkali-soluble protein had the highest antioxidant activity among the four soluble proteins,attributed to its high selenium binding *** and cotyledons of peanut seedlings were significantly enriched with selenium compared to *** acid analysis and SDS-PAGE results showed that selenium increases significantly after peanut germination and selenium *** study provides a simple,environmentally friendly,and effective way of selenium enrichment and offers a theoretical basis for applying selenium-enriched foods in food and medicine.

With the adjustment of the tropical and subtropical fruit industry organizations in southern China, the Hylocereus undatus(pitaya) industry is growing rapidly in subtropical Guangxi and other places. Guangxi is also the largest natural selenium-rich region in the country, and selenium-enriched pitaya is increasingly sought after by the general public. This paper described in detail the selection of selenium-enriched pitaya production fields, key planting techniques and core selenium enrichment techniques, with a view to providing technical guidance for the standardized production of selenium-enriched pitaya and providing technical support for improving the quality and efficiency of pitaya production in natural selenium-rich areas.

It will cause diseases for humans and animals when Se is excessive or lack in the *** research status of selenium-enriched agricultural crops and selenium-enriched horticultural crops, functional mechanism and application status of selenium, and the latest progress in the study of selenium enrichment were summarized in this paper.
