Ergodic secrecy rate of two-user MISO interference channels with statistical CSI

This paper considers a two-user multiple-input single-output(MISO) interference channel with confidential messages(IFC-CM), where the beamforming vectors at the two transmitters are jointly optimized using the closed-form Pareto-optimal parameterization. We prove that artificial noise cannot improve the secrecy rate performance, and coordinated beamforming is secrecy-rate optimal which is achieved by agreeing on the parameters between the two transmitters. We analyze the feasible set of the beamforming parameters that guarantees positiveness of the secrecy rates when the transmitters know only statistical CSI, and then analysis in the ergodic secrecy rate region is discussed. More importantly, we derive the closed form of the ergodic secrecy rates and illustrate the Pareto-optimal structure of the beamforming vectors.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)will be essential to support mission-critical applications of Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication(URLLC)in futuristic Sixth-Generation(6G)networks.However,several security vulnerabilities and attacks have plagued previous generations of communication systems;thus,physical layer security,especially against eavesdroppers,is vital,especially for upcoming 6G networks.In this regard,UAVs have appeared as a winning candidate to mitigate security risks.In this paper,we leverage UAVs to propose two methods.The first method utilizes a UAV as Decode-and-Forward(DF)relay,whereas the second method utilizes a UAV as a jammer to mitigate eavesdropping attacks for URLLC between transmitter and receiver devices.Moreover,we present a low-complexity algorithm that outlines the two aforementioned methods of mitigating interception,i.***.increasing secrecy rate,and we compare them with the benchmark null method in which there is a direct communication link between transmitter and receiver without the UAV DF relay.Additionally,simulation results show the effectiveness of such methods by improving the secrecy rate and its dependency on UAV height,blocklength,decoding error probability and transmitter-receiver separation distance.Lastly,we recommend the best method to enhance the secrecy rate in the presence of an eavesdropper based on our simulations.

Due to the broadcast nature of wireless communications,users’data transmitted wirelessly is susceptible to security/privacy threats.Meanwhile,as a result of the limitation of spectrum resources,massive wireless connections will incur serious interference,which may damage the efficiency of data transmission.Therefore,improving both efficiency and secrecy of data transmission is of research significance.In this paper,we propose a wireless transmission scheme by taking both Secure Communication(SC)and Interference Management(IM)into account,namely SCIM.With this scheme,an SCIM signal is generated by the legitimate transmitter(Tx)and sent along with the desired signal,so that the SCIM signal can interact with and suppress the environmental interference at the legitimate receiver(Rx).Meanwhile,the SCIM signal may interfere with the eavesdropper in the coverage of legitimate transmission so as to deteriorate the eavesdropping performance.Therefore,the secrecy of desired transmission is improved.In this way,both the transmission efficiency and privacy are enhanced.Then,by taking various transmission preferences into account,we develop different implementations of SCIM,including Interference Suppression First SCIM(ISF-SCIM),Data Transmission First SCIM(DTF-SCIM),Anti-Eavesdropping First SCIM(AEF-SCIM),and secrecy rate Maximization SCIM(SRM-SCIM).Our in-depth simulation results have shown the proposed methods to effectively improve the efficiency and secrecy of the legitimate transmission.

To further improve the secrecy rate,a joint optimization scheme for the reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)phase shift and the power allocation is proposed in the untrusted relay(UR)networks assisted by the RIS.The eavesdropping on the UR is interfered by a source-based jamming strategy.Under the constraints of unit modulus and total power,the RIS phase shift,the power allocation between the confidential signal and the jamming signal,and the power allocation between the source node and the UR are jointly optimized to maximize the secrecy rate.The complex multivariable coupling problem is decomposed into three sub-problems,and the non-convexity of the objective function and the constraints is solved with semi-definite relaxation.Simulation results indicate that the secrecy rate is remarkably enhanced with the proposed scheme compared with the equal power allocation scheme,the random phase shift scheme,and the no-RIS scheme.

Directional modulation with distributed receiver selection for secure wireless communications

In this paper, a novel directional modulation with distributed receiver selection(DM-DRS)scheme is proposed for secure wireless communications. In DM-DRS, a particular subset of receivers is activated and part of the information bits are modulated by the index of the activation pattern, in addition to traditional digital modulation. Especially, the scrambling matrix is introduced for the sake of preventing the eavesdropping. Moreover, the performances of bit error rate(BER) in terms of the union bound for both the legitimate user and eavesdropper are respectively derived in the context of an optimal joint maximum likelihood(ML) detector, and the theoretical BER upper bounds are demonstrated to be tight by the numerical results. In the context of the discrete-input and continuous-output system, the ergodic secrecy rates of the legitimate user and the eavesdropper are obtained, the secrecy rate is also quantified. Furthermore,our numerical results exhibit that DM-DRS can achieve an increased transmission rate compared to its traditional directional modulation with cooperative receivers(DM-CR) and spatial and direction modulation(SDM) counterparts, while guaranteeing an improved BER performance.

This paper makes an investigation of a secure unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-aided communication network based on directional modulation(DM). In this network, ground base station(GBS) acts as a control center to transmit confidential message and artificial noise(AN). The UAV user, moving along a linear flight trajectory, is intended to receive the useful information from GBS. At the same time, it also sends AN signals to further interference eavesdropper’s channel. Aiming at maximizing secrecy rate during the UAV flight process, a joint optimization problem is formulated with respect to power allocation(PA)factors, beamforming vector and AN projection matrices. For simplicity, maximum rate transmission, nullspace projection and the leakage-based method are applied to form the transmit beamforming vector, AN projection matrix at GBS, and AN projection vector at UAV user, respectively. Following this, the optimization problem reduces to a bivariate optimization programme with two PA factors. An alternating iterative algorithm(AIA) is proposed to optimize the two PA factors. Simulation results demonstrate that, compared to the half-duplex(HD) mode, the proposed strategy for full-duplex(FD) mode achieves a higher secrecy rate(SR) and outperforms the FD mode with fixed PA strategy.

This paper considers a secure multigroup multicast multiple-input single-output(MISO)communication system aided by an intelligent reflecting surface(IRS).Specifically,we aim to minimize the transmit power at Alice via jointly optimizing the transmit beamformer,artificial noise(AN)vector and phase shifts at the IRS subject to the secrecy rate constraints as well as the unit modulus constraints of IRS phase shifts.To tackle the optimization problem,we first transform it into a semidefinite relaxation(SDR)problem,and then alternately update the transmit beamformer and AN matrix as well as the phase shifts at the IRS.In order to reduce the high computational complexity,we further propose a low-complexity algorithm based on second-order cone programming(SOCP).We decouple the optimization problem into two sub-problems and optimize the transmit beamformer,AN vector and the phase shifts alternately by solving two corresponding SOCP subproblem.Simulation results show that the proposed SDR and SOCP schemes require half or less transmit power than the scheme without IRS,which demonstrates the advantages of introducing IRS and the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

MIMO技术，在不提高发射功率和不增加频谱带宽的前提下，提高了系统的容量和频谱效率。中继技术由于能够延伸通信距离，克服阴影衰落，而被引入到第四代移动通信系统中。把天线选择技术融合到MIMO中继系统中，在达到极高的通信速率和通信质量的同时，有着复杂度低和实现成本低的优点。双向中继是一项比较有应用前景的技术，而物理层网络编码和模拟网络编码作为双向中继中比较重要的两种技术，由于频率利用率高的优势，在学术界受到了广泛的关注。由于无线通信传输的广播特性，使得信号容易被窃听，物理层安全通信成为了近来年研宂的热点。本文重点研宄了在双向MIMO中继系统中，基于物理层网络编码的天线选择方案设计和模拟网络编码的天线选择算法设计，以及在MIMO中继系统中基于安全速率的天线选择算法设计。首先，本文考虑双向中继物理层网络编码系统，系统引入了基于最小邻居成簇算法的物理层网络编码，并在此编码方式基础上，以优化系统误比特率(BER)为目标，通过理论分析，提出了一种基于多址接入阶段(MA)和广播阶段(BC)星座点最小距离的网络编码-天线选择联合设计方案。仿真结果表明，相比于单独的网络编码方案和天线选择方案，该联合设计方案能显著降低系统的误比特率(BER)。其次，相比于物理层网络编码，模拟网络编码有易于进行理论推导及实现的优点，本文又考虑了双向中继模拟网络编码系统，同样以优化系统误比特率(BER)为目标，提出了一种低复杂度的均方误差最小化天线选择算法。该算法考虑双向中继模拟网络编码系统中源节点既是发送端又是接收端的特性，同时考虑了中继节点接收和发送禾线可以不同的情况，根据系统均方误差(MSE)的闭式表达式，推导得出简化表达式，并根据简化表达式逐步选取均方误差最小的接收-发送天线对。仿真结果表明，在不同的天线数量及功率约束条件下，该算法与己有算法相比，在系统均方误差(MSE)和误比特率(BER)方面能够获得更好的性能表现。
