The oil migration patterns in porous medium are discussed based on the results of diphasic expulsing experiments.In the experiments,dyed kerosene was used as expulsing phase to expulse water saturated in a glass cylinder filled with sorted glass beads.Two series of experiments were done:one with different initial oil column heights and the other with variable oil injection rates.Three secondary migration patterns,including stable displacement pattern,fingering pattern and stringing pattern may be recognized in each series of experiments.Two classic dimensionless parameters,the modified Bond number and the Capillary number,were used to construct a phase diagram that may characterize the patterns.A new method was proposed to calculate the Darcian velocity of moving kerosene in the cylinder when only buoyancy force acts. It is found that when Darcian velocity is used to get the two dimensionless parameters,the data from both series of experiments,as well as those obtained from literatures,may be reasonably drawn in a phase diagram to identify the three migration patterns.

Origin and migration of natural gases in central area of Western Sichuan Depression——Evidence for carbon isotope geochemistry

The chemical and isotopic compositions of nine natural gas samples from Xiaoquan, Xinchang and Hexinchang fields in the central part of Western Sichuan Depression were measured. All of the samples consist mainly of CH4 and the contents of hydrocarbons are > 99 % in volume with the gas wetness > 0.5 % . The methane δ13C1 and ethane δ13C2 values of these gases are > - 37‰ and > - 27‰ respectively. The results indicate that hydrocarbons were formed via thermogenesis. The hydrocarbons in Xiaoquan field were generated from source rocks at early mature and mature stages, while the hydrocarbons in Xinchang and Hexinchang fields came from source rocks at mature and late mature stages respectively. In addition, the isotope ratios and the chemical compositions of the gases from Xinchang field varied with depth, indicating that the hydrocarbons were derived from the deeply buried and the mature source rocks of Upper Triassic age and had experienced a long distance migration.

Recent experimental observations have demonstrated that losses of oil in a secondary migration pathway depend largely on the characteristics of the pathway itself.Accurate assessments of the residual saturation are required to quantify losses during migration.In the present paper,the authors report on experimental procedures designed to evaluate the oil saturation at various stages of the migrationlinvasion process.The experiments made use of both apparatuses filled with an artificial medium composed of glass beads,and cores composed of reservoir sandstones from oilfields in NE China.The saturation of residual oil in the pathways was measured by nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. Experiment results show that mobile oil continues to migrate in a porous medium when the supply of oil has been stopped,but that the migration pathway shrinks and may become disconnected into isolated segments.Once active migration ceases,the residual oil saturation varies significantly from location to location within a pathway,and the average residual oil saturation falls to 30-60%, depending on grain size and composition.A porous medium composed of large grains commonly contains large pores and pore throats and thus may correlate with low residual oil saturations.

利用2015年全国1%人口抽样调查数据，本文分析了流动人口居留稳定性的总体特征、群体分异和空间差异性，并对流动人口居留稳定性的影响因素进行了探讨。结果表明：①我国跨市流动人口在当前城市的平均居住时间约为5年，新生代流动人口的居留稳定性与老一代并没有显著差异，从事工业行业的流动人口居留稳定性明显低于各类服务业从业者；②省内流动人口的居留稳定性低于省际流动人口，且有更大的可能离开当前城市，转向省际流动；③城市流动人口的规模和居留稳定性在空间格局和影响因素方面均存在明显差异，虽然收入水平和就业机会依然是吸引流动人口的主要因素，但公共服务、住房市场和环境等城市宜居性因素对提高流动人口的居留稳定性更为重要。

Estimates of hydrocarbon losses during migration are critical to petroleum resource assessments based on mass balance calculations.Using knowledge acquired from physical experiments,we conducted numerical experiments to qualitatively simulate migration processes on a basin scale, and we have estimated the proportions of oil lost along different parts of the migration pathway. Between the point where oil is expelled from a source rock and its arrival in a trap,migration pathways were divided into three sections,namely vertical and lateral pathways within the area of the effective source rock(W),and lateral pathways outside this area(W). With reference to the concept of an independent migration unit(IMU),a prism-shaped domain with square top and bottom faces,the proportion of vertical pathways(Q) and lateral pathways (Q) in carrier beds in W may be estimated,using parameters obtained in migration experiments. The proportion of oil lost in W was obtained by statistical analysis of modelled results.It is found that the loss of oil within W decreases rapidly with increasing distance from the contact between W and W. Relative oil losses in migration pathways were estimated by considering two typical migration models:a sloping rectangular plate model,and a circular synclinal model.Simulation results show that,for sandstone carrier beds at a basin scale,Q is one order of magnitude less than Q,and losses(Q) in W are two orders of magnitude less than those(Q + Q) in W.
