Modified α and β bis(salicylaldoxime)copper(Ⅱ) have been obtained by recrystallization from ethyl acetate(CCDC Nos. 212157 & 212158). The X-ray analysis reveals that the two modificated forms have the same structure with different geometric parameters. The α form crystallizes in the P2(1)/c space group and the β form in the P1 space group. Both the crystal structures consist of centrosymmetric monomeric molecules of Cu(OC_6H_4CNOH)_2. The IR spectra are in agreement with the structural data.

Improved determination of salicylaldoxime in water samples by liquid-liquid extraction followed by high performance liquid chromatographic analysis

For the determination of salicylaldoxime in environmental water samples,a stable and rapid method with low detection was proposed and established,based on the liquid-liquid extraction-high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet *** including extraction solvent,ionic strength,solution pH,and extraction pattern were discussed for the optimal quantification of salicylaldoxime-spiked *** the described method was applied to four spiked water samples,the obtained average extraction recovery rate was found between 87%–107%and relative standard deviation was below 6%.At the same time,good linear relationships were observed for spiked water samples from 0.01 to 10μg/mL(R2=0.9993).In addition,the detection limit of salicylaldoxime was revealed between 0.003–0.008μg/mL,which is two orders of magnitude lower than previously reported ***,the presented method may be advantageous for the high-efficiency determination of salicylaldoxime in water samples.

The function of salicylaldoxime ligand and metal salts usually afford the multinuclear metallic complexes with charming *** manganese complexes exhibit Metallacrown structural types,a classic metallmacrycle complexes,structurally analogous organic crown with metal and N atoms substituting ring methyl C atoms,and interesting magnetic properties,especially single molecule magnet(SMM) behavior[1-2].Therefore,we hope use the salicyladoxime ligand and Co salt to react and prepare a complex with unexpected magnetic ***,a complex[Co(sao)(N)(py)]·ClO was obtained and its crustal structure was characterized by X-ray single crystal *** complex is composed of two Co ions,two completely deprotonated salicylaldoxime anions(sao),a bridging N,four coordinated pyridine molecules and one free *** the coordinated pyridine N atoms,each Co ion links one phenolic hydroxyl O atom and one hydroxylamine N atom from one ligand,and the hydroxylamine O atom bridges the adjacent Co *** terminal N atom of the N further bridges two separate Co ***,each Co ion demonstrates six-coordination,octahedral configuration(Fig.1)Based on the interactions of C-H…N and C-H…O,a two-dimensional framework is formed(Fig.2).
