Guidelines for Creating a rule-based Knowledge Learning system and Their Application to a Chinese Business Card Layout Analysis

rule selection has long been a problem of great challenge that has to be solved when developing a rule-based knowledge learning system. Many methods have been proposed to evaluate the eligibility of a single rule based on some criteria. However, in a knowledge learning system there is usually a set of rules. These rules are not independent, but interactive. They tend to affect each other and form a rulesystem. In such case, it is no longer reasonable to isolate each rule from others for evaluation. A best rule according to certain criterion is not always the best one for the whole system. Furthermore, the data in the real world from which people want to create their learning system are often ill-defined and inconsistent. In this case, the completeness and consistency criteria for rule selection are no longer essential. In this paper, some ideas about how to solve the rule-selection problem in a systematic way are proposed. These ideas have been applied in the design of a Chinese business card layout analysis system and gained a good result on the training data set of 425 images. The implementation of the system and the result are presented in this paper.

Generating Fuzzy rule-based systems from Examples based on Robust Support Vector Machine

This paper firstly proposes a new support vector machine regression (SVR) with a robust loss function, and designs a gradient based algorithm for implementation of the SVR, then uses the SVR to extract fuzzy rules and designs fuzzy rule-based system. Simulations show that fuzzy rule-based system technique based on robust SVR achieves superior performance to the conventional fuzzy inference method, the proposed method provides satisfactory performance with excellent approximation and generalization property than the existing algorithm.

How to derive a geovisualization from an application data model: an approach based on Semantic Web technologies

While ontological modelling and Semantic Web technologies are sometimes used to describe knowledge domains with a spatial component,there is still a lack of semantics to describe how to present this knowledge geovisually to the end user and how to automatize the *** this paper,we first present vocabularies to describe at a high level the elements that make up a *** then propose a method that describes at a semantic level how to obtain a geovisualization from an existing data *** method is based on our vocabularies and on a set of semantic rules encoding rich and complex operations on *** leads to the derivation of ontological knowledge,ready to be exploited to automate the creation of a *** method is implemented in a framework that uses Semantic Web *** singularity and the strength of our proposal is that it enables to describe a geovisualization through a RDF specification file,which once loaded in our system makes the geovisualization directly available for use from a Web *** result is obtained by extending a priori an application data model with ad hoc geovisualization semantics features and rules.

Train traffic rescheduling is a complicated and large-scaled combinatorial problem. According to the characteristics of China railway system and from the point of practical use, this paper introduces a rule-based train traffic reschedule interactive simulator. It can be used as a powerful training tool to train the dispatcher and to carry out experimental analysis. The production rules are used as the basic for describing the processes to be simulated. With the increase of rule, users can easily upgrade the simulator by adding their own rules.

Considerable research has demonstrated how effective requirements engineering is critical for the success of software *** engineering has been established and recognized as one of the most important aspects of software engineering as of *** is noteworthy to mention that requirement consistency is a critical factor in project success,and conflicts in requirements lead to waste of cost,time,and effort.A considerable number of research studies have shown the risks and problems caused by working with requirements that are in conflict with other *** risks include running overtime or over budget,which may lead to project *** the very least,it would result in the extra expended *** studies have also stated that failure in managing requirement conflicts is one of the main reasons for unsuccessful software projects due to high cost and insufficient *** prior research studies have proposed manual techniques to detect conflicts,whereas other research recommends automated approaches based on human ***,there are different resolutions for conflicting *** previous work proposed a scheme for dealing with this problem using a novel intelligent method to detect conflicts and resolve them.A rule-based system was proposed to identify conflicts in requirements,and a genetic algorithm(GA)was used to resolve *** objective of this work is to assess and evaluate the implementation of the method of minimizing the number of conflicts in the *** methodology implemented comprises two different *** first stage,detecting conflicts using a rule-based system,demonstrated a correct result with 100% *** evaluation of using the GA to resolve and reduce conflicts in the second stage also displayed a good result and achieved the desired goal as well as the main objective of the research.

国际法体系从权力体系向规则体系演变既是国际社会的现实，又存在着不同的理论基础。理想主义的理论在价值层面解释了规则体系建立的应然性，因为该体系能使各国承担共同的义务与责任；现实主义理论正视国家间对抗的存在，而规则体系为这种博弈提供场域，因而其具有现实上的可行性；治理成本视域下，规则体系还因更低的国际社会治理成本而具有经济上的合理性。百年未有之大变局下，即使国际法体系发生了从权力体系到规则体系的转变，当今世界仍然未处于理想的规则体系当中，这是因为国际法追求的价值目标必须在国家关系和国家利益中进行成本和收益平衡的考量。
