In recent years much attention has been paid to these complexes but as a matter of fact only a few complexes of (TTA)_4 MQH have been studied and their use as NMR chemical shift reagents has not yet been investigated. With this in mind we have prepared in this laboratory sixteen complexes of the type (TTA)_4 MQH nine of which are not reported in the literature.

Using a laser pulse to measure the distance between the laser station and the satellites equipped with retro-reflectors is a high precision technique for satellite tracking. It can be applied to accurately determine the orbit of satellite, to monitor the earth movements such as polar motion, rotation and crustal movements, etc., and to measure the distances between the laser stations. So it is of importance to astro-geodynamics, geodesy and seismology.
