Peer educator training program for enhancing knowledge on issues in the growth and development of adolescents and risk behavior problems in Indonesian context

Objective： This article aimed to evaluate the effects of an educational intervention programme on improving peer educator （PE） knowledge in issues around growth and development and its risk behavior problems of adolescents in Indonesia. Methods： The study was conducted in 31 of PEs to evaluate their knowledge in adolescents. The PEs received health education and were assessed by individual work during the structured three-week programme. Data were collected before and after the training programme as pre- and post-tests. Results： The PE demonstrated significant improvements in their knowledge after attending the three-week structured training programme. The post-test scores had significant effects on the dimensions of PE knowledge scores. The PE become knowledgeable to maintain and monitor adolescents health issues around growth and development and its risk behavior problems of adolescents. Conclusions： The PE become knowledgeable to respond to the adolescent problems and readiness to become PE during puberty.

Can Health Savings Accounts Reduce Health Spending?Evidence from China

Health care costs are high and continue to rise in most major economies,and the health savings account(HSA)is often viewed as an appealing way to contain health care costs because it can potentially solve the moral hazard spending caused by traditional health *** study uses data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)to empirically examine the effectiveness of HSAs in containing medical expenses and reducing moral *** findings show that HSAs that restrict the use of funds may lead enrollees to discount the value and thus spend more on health *** addition,the positive effect of HSAs on medical expenses is larger for the relatively healthier group,which may suggest that moral hazard exists regarding the use of HSA *** empirical estimates of the HSA effect on medical expenses are robust when a set of covariates are controlled,and HSA balances are instrumented using housing savings account balances.

Adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease face daily and long-term challenges that may be difficult for teenagers to manage. The developmental and psychosocial changes unique to this age group include becoming more autonomous and being more vulnerable to peer influence. These changes may lead to problems in medical management such as poor medication adherence and risky behavior. Being aware of these issues will help the medical team provide anticipatory guidance to address these concerns.

本文理论和实证研究了资本结构对农村信用社风险行为及经营绩效的影响。研究结果表明：资本充足率对农村信用社风险行为和经营绩效的影响取决于股权集中度与资本充足率的协同性效应。对于经济发展相对滞后的农村地区，资本充足率提升可有效抑制农村信用社的风险行为，而随着农村经济发展和市场化程度的提升，股金的风险溢价明显为正值的地区，资本充足率对风险的抑制作用需以优化股权结构为前提。为此，随着我国农村经济发展水平的提升，我国农村金融的改革与监管应在注重资本充足程度的基础上，逐步过渡到注重对股权结构的优化。
