Bacterial Community in Different Populations of Rice Brown Planthopper Nilaparvata lugens(Stl)

The structures of bacterial communities in the brown planthopper （BPH） Nilaparvata lugens （St^l） from different geographic and resistant virulent populations were analyzed by using denatured gradient gel electrophoresis （DGGE）. Results showed that the bacterial communities in BPH nymph from the first to the fifth instars varied with nymphal growth and development. The bacterial communities in the first-instar BPH nymph were similar to those in adults. Nine geographic BPH populations were divided into three groups based on the cluster analysis of DGGE fingerprint. The first group was from the Philippines; the second group was from Thailand and Hainan, Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces of China; and the third group was from Vietnam and Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces of China. BPH populations adapted to different resistant rice varieties. The BPH populations from Mudgo （with resistant gene Bphl） and ASD7 （with resistant gene bph2） differed with those of the susceptible rice variety TNI.

Dynamics of microbial community structure including pathogens and non-pathogens can influence the development of watermelon soil-borne *** use of resistant watermelon variety is the main effective measure for controlling watermelon wilt,however,the impact of different resistant varieties on watermelon stem,root,and rhizosphere microbial communities diversity is *** of fungal communities associated with healthy and diseased watermelon including three different Fusarium-resistant varieties were investigated through paired-end Illumina MiSeq sequencing in three spatial compartments:basal stems,roots,and *** watermelon plants with high-resistant,moderate-resistant,and suceptible varieties were collected from the same field,half of which showing clear wilt *** richness was highest in rhizosphere and lower in basal stems and roots,however,no notable differences in richness were observed between samples associated with diseased and healthy *** status and variety both had significant effects on fungal community structures in basal stems and roots,whereas only variety had significant effects on communities in rhizosphere.A number of fungi were identified more abundant in the three compartments with high-resistant *** such as Fusarium oxysporum and Monosporascus cannonballus were abundant in diseased stems and roots with susceptible and moderate-resistant *** conclusion,patterns of watermelon wilt disease were different among the three varieties,which were also reflected in fungal *** status of plants was barely reflected in rhizosphere fungal communities,whereas health status was more important for shaping basal stem and root communities.
