Effect of boron on dissolution and repairing behavior of passive film on S31254 super-austenitic stainless steel immersed in H_(2)SO_(4) solution

The impact of boron on the dissolution and repairing behavior of passive films formed on S31254 super-austenitic stainless steel(SASS)was *** was immersed in 0.5 mol/L of H_(2)SO_(4) for 0,2,6,10,and 14 days to explore the evolution of the passive *** electrochemical impedance spectroscope(EIS),the Mott–Schottky analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscope were utilized to analyze the semiconductor properties and compositions of the passive *** showed a decrease and consequent increase over 14 days;the same pattern was observed for Cr_(2)O_(3) and Cr/***,the defect density of the passive film exhibited a reverse *** variation in film thicknesses indicated that the passive films possessed dissolution and repairing *** passive film had a double-layer structure;the outer layer was found to be rich in Fe3+and Cr(OH)3,but low on Mo6+,while the inner layer was rich in Cr_(2)O_(3) and low in Mo4+.The addition of boron increased the corrosion resistance and could promote the efficiency of the passive film repair,likely by promoting the migration of Mox+,which promoted the repairing of the passive film.

In order to repair and reuse remaining quenching surface(RQS)divided into severely worn surface(SWun-S)and mildly worn surface(MWun-S)of abandoned gray cast iron guide rail,inspired by the bionic theory,varying forms of bionic units such as spot(Sp-S),striation(St-S),and reticulation(Re-S)were fabricated on RQS of gray cast iron through laser processing ***,the microstructure,phase composition,and microhardness of bionic units and RQS were analyzed by optical microscopy as well as X-ray diffraction instrument and scanning electron microscopy,***,the oil lubrication wear experiment was performed on homemade line reciprocating wear *** results demonstrated that the bionic units had a significant effect on improving wear resistance of RQS of abandoned guide rail due to the microstructure and higher *** addition,the weight loss ratios of MWun-S,Sp-S,St-S,and Re-S samples were decreased by 36.72%,36.78%,62.26%,and 80.39%,respectively,compared with that of SWun-S *** mechanism of wear resistance enhancement was also discussed.

Atomically thin two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)have stimulated enormous research interest due to rich phase structure,high theoretical carrier mobility and layer-dependent *** view of the close correlation between defects and properties in 2D TMDCs,more attentions have been paid on the defect engineering in recent years,however the mechanism is still ***,we review the critical progress of defect engineering and provide an extensive way to modulate the properties depressed by *** insight into the defect engineering,we firstly introduce two common kinds of defects during the growth progress of TMDCs and the possible distribution of energy levels those defects could ***,various methods to improve point defects and grain boundaries during the period of growth are discussed intensively,with the assistance of which more large-area TMDCs films can be *** the defects in TMDCs are inevitable regardless of concentration,we also highlight strategies to heal the defects after *** dry methods or wet methods,the chalcogen vacancies can be repaired and thus,the performance of electronic device would be significantly ***,we propose the challenges and prospective for defect engineering in 2D TMDCs materials to support the optimization of device and lead them to wide applied fields.

Laser solid forming (LSF) is an advanced manufacture technology developed from early 1990s, which can realize the rapid manufacturing high performance near-net-shaping complicated metallic components with full-dense directly. Currently this technology has been widely used for rapid manufacturing of metal parts, repairing and remanufacturing service of large parts with defects in aerospace, energy, transportation industry etc. In present paper, the main progresses on the research and application of LSF are reviewed, and the emphasis has been focused on manufacturing high performance high strength steel metal parts. The results of LSFed high strength steel samples show that the comprehensive mechanical properties are usually in the classes of forging parts, which the dense, fine and homogeneous microstructure in LSFed parts, especially, high strength steel parts with metallurgical-defects-free can be obtained by careful optimizing the forming and heat treatment parameter. To realize the high performance repairing and remanufacturing of the high strength steel component is one of the most remarkable progress for LSF recently. The mechanical properties of the repaired and remanufacturing parts by LSF can reach the wrought standards only with annealing treatment. It is believed that the repair and remanufacturing of high performance metallic components by LSF should be one of the most promising applications for LSF in the coming future.

The repair of reinforced concrete(RC)beams with carbon fiber reinforced polymers(CFRP)is experimentally investigated in this *** four T-section reinforced reactive powder concrete beams with many locations of circular opening were repaired by CFRP and investigated under pure *** repairing beams were tested to obtain the effect of the amount of CFRP laminate on beams cracking and ultimate torque behavior,angle of twist and failure *** results obtained from the adopted repairing technique showed a significant effect of external high strength CFRP laminates on effectively restore of section solid of 85%of crack torsional strength effectively *** addition,the results show that effectively restoring of section opening by 82%-80%of crack torsional strength,and the adopted repairing technique gives a good strength to the beams.

An experimental study was conducted to investigate the behavior of composite concrete beams damaged and cracked under pure torsion, and then repaired by external strengthening. This was achieved using high strength Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) laminates bonded with epoxy four composite modify reactive powder concrete (MRPC) I-beams. Different types of section (Solid & with opening) were tested to obtain the effect of amount of CFRP laminate on beams ultimate torque behavior, angle of twist and failure modes. The results obtained showed that a significant effect of external high strength CFRP laminates on effectively restore of section solid, the range of 89.8% to 91.2% of ultimate torsional strength effectively restored as well as effectively restoring of section opening by 83.48% - 86.67% of ultimate torsional strength. The repaired beams give high efficiency in ultimate torsional strength, and indicate that the adopted technique gives a good torsional strength.

A new continuous casting mold repairing method--cold gas dynamic spraying （CGDS） is introduced. The study investigates the advantages of the CGDS process regarding repairing operation, such as convenient, in-situ repairation,little heat delivery, microstructural and dimensional stability and other special applications. Microstructure and mechanical properties of the copper alloy coating, nickel coating, ceramic composite coating, and their interface to the substrates ,which are usually used in repairing operation have been researched by means of optical microscopy （ OM）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and micro-hardness tests. Experimental results have demonstrated the relative density of the copper alloy coating is as high as 98.7%, and that no obvious difference can be observed between the CrZrCu substrate and the Cu alloy coating in terms of microstructures; thus the interface is quite difficult to be identified. The bonding strength and micro-hardness of the Cu alloy coating reach up to 37 MPa and 310 HV0.2 ,respectively. The interface between the copper alloy coating and the nickel coating is either zigzag or wave shaped, and the cohesion is relatively good. As-sprayed nickel coating is dominated by severely deformed particles,and the relative density is up to 98.5%. Complete recrystallization occurred after annealing at 900℃ for one hour,while its micro-hardness remains as high as 124.1 HV02. All these results have indicated that CGDS is a promising technology for repairing the continuous casting mold and that its future development is prosperous as well.

To investigate the efficacy of repairing finger nail bed defects by split-thickness nail bed grafts in one stage,and evaluate the functional recovery of nail beds *** From February 2000 to Decemeber 2003,33 fingers with nail bed defect in 26 patients (7 thumbs,13 index fingers,9 middle fingers,4 ring fingers)were repaired with middle thickness grafts of nail bed harvested from the residual nail beds of the same fingers or from nail beds of 1st,1nd and 3rd *** plexus block or regional anesthesia was *** the area of nail bed defect area was less than one third of the nail,the graft was taken from the same finger under rubber *** condition of the area of nail bed defect larger than one third of the nail beyond nail plica or two nail bed defects,the grafts were taken from the nail beds of 1st,2nd and 3rd *** In the study,there were 23 fingers (18 patients) with the nail bed defects area more than 5 mm and less than one third of the nail repaired with the grafts of the same finger nail;there were 10 fingers (8 patients) with the nail bed defects more than one third of the nail beyond the nail plica or two nail bed defects transplanted with toe nail *** patients were followed up from 6 months to 30 months with an average of 17 months,all grafts survived very *** pain,no infection and obvious deformed growth of nail were found,and a sound recovery was obtained in all *** and good rates were 87.9% in 23 patients with 29 fingers;poor rate was 12.1% in 3 patients with 4 fingers according to the criteria by Lü *** The transplantation of middle split-thickness nail bed to repair nail bed defect is simple and easy to *** grafted nail can grow in good appearance,and the deformation rate is lower.8 refs,3 figs.

Objective: To summarize the application and effect of thin flap repairing method after reascularization in femoral anterolateral free flap. Methods: From May 2013 to October 2015, 20 cases of patients received femoral anterolateral free flap transplantation, with the flap transported to the recipient site. After reascularization, the phase I of thin flap repairing was performed in each 'vein type'area. Among those, there existed 8 cases of direct suture in the donor site, and 12 cases of skin transplantation by intermediate split thickness skin graft. Results: All the postoperative flaps survived, with 2 cases of vascular crisis and 2 cases of poor venous return at the edge of flap. No complications such as flap infection and necrosis occurred. Wounds and incisions in donor and recipient sites were healed in phase I. 20 cases of patients had been followed up for 5-24 months, and the average follow-up time was 15 months. The skin texture of flap was similar to the surrounding skin, with good abrasion resistance, no ulceration and no phase II flap repairing;the sensation of flap recovered to S3-S4 level;the two-point discrimination was 3.5-6.0 mm, with the average value of 5.0 mm. The function of patients' fingers recovered well without any complications such as contracture and deformity etc. In the last follow-up, Testative Evaluation Standard of Upper Limb Function, which was established by Chinese Medical Society for Surgery of Hand, was used to assess efficacy, and the evaluation results were as follows: excellent in 9 cases, good in 5 cases, fair in 6 cases;in accordance with the evaluation criteria listed in Michigan Hand Outcome Questionnaire (used to assess patients' satisfaction with the appearance of flaps after operation, and the results were as follows: very satisfactory in 9 cases, satisfactory in 9 cases, and moderate in 2 cases.
