Techniques and instruments used for real-time analysis of atmospheric nanoscale molecular clusters: A review

The extremely high concentrations of PM2.5(particulate matter with an aerodynamic meter≤2.5 mm)during severe and persistent haze events in China have been closely related to the formation of secondary aerosols(SA).New particle formation(NPF)is the critical initial step of SA *** particles are commonly formed from gas-phase precursors(e.g.,SO2,volatile organic compounds)via nucleation and initial growth,in which molecular clusters with a mobility diameter smaller than 3 nm(hereafter referred to nanoscale molecular clusters)will be involved throughout the whole ***,significant breakthroughs have been obtained on NPF studies,which are mostly attributed to the technical development in the real-time analysis of size-resolved number concentration and chemical composition of nanoscale molecular *** the detection of size-resolved number concentrations of nanoscale molecular clusters,both methods and instruments have been well built up;practical application in laboratory-scale experiments and field measurements have also been successfully *** contrast,real-time analysis of chemical composition of nanoscale molecular clusters has still encountered the great challenges caused by the complex organic compositions of the clusters,and improvement of present analytical strategies is urgently *** better understanding in NPF will not only benefit the atmospheric modeling and climate predictions but also the source control of SA.

In recent years,with the frequent occurrence of cyber security incidents,people have paid more attention to *** security risk assessment is a very important research *** paper gives a brief overview of the theory of cybersecurity risk assessment,focuses on the description of the current mainstream cybersecurity risk assessment methods,classifies and compares the existing methods according to the nature of the methods,and analyses the advantages,disadvantages,and application scope of each ***,the main factors affecting the evaluation results are summarized and refined,and future research hotspots in this field are *** the empirical analysis of the three factors,the influence of the correlation of the three factors,the uncertainty of the evaluation indexes,and the timeliness of the evaluation on the evaluation results are concluded,which provides a reference for future research on evaluation methods.

Protonated acetone ion chemical ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry for real-time measurement of atmospheric ammonia

Ammonia(NH_(3))is ubiquitous in the atmosphere,it can affect the formation of secondary aerosols and particulate matter,and cause soil eutrophication through ***,the use of radioactive primary reagent ion source and the humidity interference on the sensitivity and stability are the two major issues faced by chemical ionization mass spectrometer(CIMS)in the analysis of atmospheric *** this work,a vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)Kr lamp was used to replace the radioactive source,and acetone was ionized under atmospheric pressure to obtain protonated acetone reagent ions to ionize *** ionization source is designed as a separated three-zone structure,and even 90 vol.%high-humidity samples can still be directly analyzed with a sensitivity of sub-ppbv.A signal normalization processing method was designed,and with this new method,the quantitative relative standard deviation(RSD)of the instrument was decreased from 17.5%to9.1%,and the coefficient of determination was increased from 0.8340 to *** humidity correction parameters of the instrument were calculated from different humidity,and the ammonia concentrations obtained under different humidity were converted to its concentration under zero humidity condition with these correction *** analytical time for a single sample is only 60 sec,and the limit of detection(LOD)was 8.59 pptv(signalto-noise ratio S/N=3).The ambient measurement made in Qingdao,China,in January 2021 with this newly designed CIMS,showed that the concentration of ammonia ranged from 1 to 130 ppbv.

A Method for Detecting Intrusion on Networks in real-time Based on IP Weight

A new rule to detect intrusion based on IP weight, which is also well implemented in the rule base of author’s NMS, is presented. Compared with traditional ones, intrusion detecting based on IP weight enhanced analysis to packet content. The method also provides a real-time efficient way to analyze traffic on high-speed network and can help to increase valid usage rates of network resources. Practical implementation as a rule in the rule base of our NMS has verified that the rule can detect not only attacks on network, but also other unusual behaviors.
