The effects of the pressure and discharge voltage on the spectral intensities of the second positive and first negative systems were studied in a pulsed nitrogen discharge supersonic flee-jet. The results show that a stabilized discharge condition was reached when the vacuum chamber pressure increased to 100 Pa. Both N2（C^3∏u） and N＋（B^2∑u^＋） states were highly populated at a pressure of 100 Pa to 130 Pa. The active state N2（C^3∏u）could be selectively populated at a low pressure of 10 Pa and a discharge voltage of 4500 V. Different populating mechanisms under the experimental conditions for N2（C^3∏u） and N＋（B^2∑u^＋） states were proposed to account for the experimental results.

Degradation of methylene blue （MB） was performed using the pulsed discharge process （PDP） combined with spent tea leaves （STLs）. The effects of STL dosage, concentration of initial solution, and pH were analyzed in the combined treatment. Results showed that the combined treatment was effective for dye wastewater degradation; when the dosage of STLs was 3.2 g/L, the degradation efficiency reached 90% after 15 rain treatment, and STLs showed a good repeatability. The degradation rate decreased with increasing initial MB concentration but not related to the solution pH in the combined treatment. Fourier-transform infrared spectra and N2 adsorption suggested that the number of acidic and basic groups in the STL surface increased after the treatment, but the surface area and pore volume remained unchanged.

In the present work,pulsed gas–liquid hybrid discharge plasma coupled with graphene/Cd S catalyst was evaluated to eliminate bisphenol A(BPA)in *** optimization of a series of process parameters was performed in terms of BPA degradation *** experimental results demonstrated that nearly 90%of BPA(20 mg l^(-1))in the synthetic wastewater(p H=7.5,σ=10μS m^(-1))was degraded by the plasma catalytic system over 0.2 g l^(-1)graphene/Cd S at 19k V with a 4 l min^(-1)air flow rate and 10 mm electrode gap within 60 *** BPA removal rate increased with increasing the discharge voltage and decreasing the initial BPA concentration or solution ***,either too high or too low an air flow rate,electrode gap,catalyst dosage or initial solution p H would lead to a decrease in BPA ***,optical emission spectroscopy was used to gain information on short-lived reactive species formed from the pulsed gas–liquid hybrid discharge plasma *** results indicated the existence of several highly oxidative free radicals such as·O and·***,the activation pathway of O_(3)on the catalyst surface was analyzed by density functional theory.

The electric energy injection from a pulsed power supply to a planar type of dielectric barrier discharge（DBD） reactor at atmospheric pressure was studied. Relations of the energy injection with barrier materials, barrier thickness, peak voltage, gap distance, electrode area,and operation temperature were experimentally investigated. The energy injection is a function of relative permittivity, barrier thickness, peak voltage, gap distance, and electrode area. The influence of operation temperature on energy injection is slight in the range of 27-300℃ but becomes obvious in the range of 300-500℃. A model was established using which the energy injection can be easily predicted.

The parametric optimization of the Ne-CuBr UV laser excited by longitudinal pulsed discharge is analysed by using a self-consistent kinetic model. Consistent characteristics of the optimization process are obtained by comparing with the experimental results. Simulation results show that neon ions come into being along with considerable depletion of the ground-state copper atoms. And the optimization of the discharge tube diameter is the tradeoff between the specific output photon density and the total active volume. Both the optimal neon gas pressure and the optimal reservoir temperature result from the balance between the neon ion density and the ground-state copper atom density to arrive at a maximum of their product.

A direct current（DC） source excited plasma jet consisting of a hollow needle anode and a plate cathode has been developed to form a diffuse discharge plume in ambient air with flowing argon as the working *** optical and electrical methods,the discharge characteristics are investigated for the diffuse plasma *** indicate that the discharge has a pulse characteristic,under the excitation of a DC *** discharge pulse corresponds to the propagation process of a plasma bullet travelling from the anode to the *** is found that,with an increment of the gas flow rate,both the discharge plume length and the current peak value of the pulsed discharge decrease in the laminar flow mode,reach their minima at about1.5 L/min,and then slightly increase in the turbulent ***,the frequency of the pulsed discharge increases in the laminar mode with increasing the argon flow rate until the argon flow rate equals to about 1.5 L/min,and then slightly decreases in the turbulent mode.

A dielectric barrier discharge（DBD） reactor is introduced to generate H2O2 by non-thermal plasma with a mixture of oxygen and water mist produced by an ultrasonic *** results of our experiment show that the energy yield and concentration of the generated H2O2 in the pulsed discharge are much higher than that in AC discharge,due to its high energy efficiency and low heating ***-sized liquid droplets produced by an ultrasonic atomizer in water mist have large specific surface area,which greatly reduces mass transfer resistance between hydroxyl radicals and water liquids,leading to higher energy yield and H2O2 concentration than in our previous *** influence of applied voltage,discharge frequency,and environmental temperature on the generated H2O2 is discussed in detail from the viewpoint of the DBD *** H2O2 concentration of 30 mg l^-1,with the energy yield of 2 gkW^-1h^-1 is obtained by pulsed discharge in our research.
