Polarizabilities of Impurity Doped Quantum Dots under pulsed Field: Role of Additive White Noise

We make a rigorous exploration of the profiles of a few diagonal and off-diagonal components of linear (αxx, αyy, αxy andαyx), first nonlinear (βxxx, βyyy, βxyy andβyxx), and second nonlinear (γxxxx, γyyyy, γxxyyandγyyxx) polarizabilities of quantum dots under the influence of external pulsed field. Simultaneous presence of additive white noise has also been considered. The quantum dot contains dopant described by a Gaussian potential. The numbers of pulse and the dopant location have been found to fabricate the said profiles jointly. The β components display greater complexity in their profiles in comparison with the α and γ counterparts. The presence of noise prominently enhances the influence of dopant coordinate on the polarizability profiles, particularly for α and γ components. However, for β components, the said influence becomes quite evident both in the presence and absence of additive noise. The study reveals some means of achieving stable, enhanced, and often maximized output of noise-driven linear and nonlinear polarizabilities.

The present work is devoted to electrical and optical study of a point-plane atmospheric pressure corona discharge reactor in humid air powered by pulsed high voltage supply. The corona current and the injected energy are analyzed as a function of several parameters such as applied voltage and humidity rate. Then, investigations based on emission spectroscopy analysis were used in UV range (from 200 nm to about 400 nm). The main observed excited species were the second positive (SPS), the first negative (FNS) systems and OH(A-X) rotational bands. The latter band was used to simulate the rotational temperature (Tr), whereas the N2+ (FNS) band was used to determine the vibrational temperature (Tv). The electron temperature (Te ) is determined from the ratio of line intensities of the spectral bands of both N2+ FNS at 391.4 nm and N2SPS at 394.4 nm. The rotational, vibrational and electronic temperatures are analyzed as a function of above parameters (applied voltage, frequency and hygrometry rate) near the anodic tip. As well we study the axial variation of electronic temperature for a fixed applied voltage at 6.4 kV, frequency at 10 kHz and 100% of humidity. It is found that the rotational, vibrational and electronic temperatures increased with increasing applied voltage, frequency and humidity rate. The increase of rate hygrometry for an inter-electrode distance fixed at 10 mm causes an increase in both the amplitude of the corona current discharge and the energy injected in corona discharge. This is indicative of more intense reactive plasma while increasing hygrometry rate.

The paper presents an approximated and compact derivation of the mutual displacement of Floquet eigenvectors in a class of LC tank oscillators with time varying bias. In particular it refers to parallel tank oscillators of which the energy restoring can be modeled through a train of current pulses. Since Floquet eigenvectors are acknowledged to give a correct decomposition of noise perturbations along the stable orbit in oscillator's space state, an analytical and compact model of their displacement can provide useful criteria for designers. The goal is to show, in a simplified case, the achievement of oscillators design oriented by eigenvectors. To this aim, minimization conditions of the effect of stationary and time varying noise as well as the contribution of jitter noise introduced by driving electronics are deduced from analytical expression of eigenvectors displacement.

Filling high-aspect-ratio trenches with gold is a frequent requirement in the fabrication of X-ray optics as well as micro-electronic components and other fabrication processes. Conformal electrodeposition of gold in sub-micron-width silicon trenches with an aspect ratio greater than 35 over a grating area of several square centimeters is challenging and has not been described in the literature previously. A comparison of pulsed plating and constant current plating led to a gold electroplating protocol that reliably filled trenches for such structures.

The morphology characteristics of cell apoptosis of the malignant tumour cells in magnetic field-treated mouse was observed for the first time. The apoptotic cancer cell contracted, became rounder and divorced from adjacent cells; the heterochromatin condensed and coagulated together along the inner side of the nuclear membrane; the endoplasmic reticulums(ER) expanded and fused with the cellular membrane; many apoptotic bodies which were packed by the cellular membrane appeared and were devoured by some lymphocytes and plasma. Apoptosis of cancer cells was detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated in situ nick end labeling(TUNEL). It was found that the number of apoptosis cancer cells of the sample treated by the magnetic field is more than that of the control sample. The growth of malignant tumour in mice was inhibited and the ability of immune cell to dissolve cancer cells was improved by ultralow frequency(ULF) pulsed gradient magnetic field; the nuclei DNA contents decreased, indicating that magnetic field can block DNA replication and inhibit mitosis of cancer cells. It was suggested that magnetic field could inhibit the metabolism of cancer cell, lower its malignancy, and restrain its rapid and heteromorphic growth. Since ULF pulsed gradient magnetic field can induce apoptosis of cancer cells and inhibit the growth of malignant tumour, it could be used as a new method to treat cancer.

AISI 304L is an austenitic Chromium-Nickel stainless steel offering the optimum combination of corrosion resistance, strength and ductility. These attributes make it a favorite for many mechanical components. The paper focuses on developing mathematical models to predict grain size and hardness of pulsed current micro plasma arc welded AISI 304L joints. Four factors, five level, central composite rotatable design matrix is used to optimize the number of experiments. The mathematical models have been developed by Response Surface Method (RSM) and its adequacy is checked by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) technique. By using the developed mathematical models, grain size and hardness of the weld joints can be predicted with 99% confidence level. The developed mathematical models have been optimized using Hooke and Jeeves algorithm to minimize grain size and maximize the hardness.

Early pulsed Dye Laser Treatment for Infantile Hemangiomas: An Open Study for 50 Japanese Infancies

Infantile hemangiomas, occurring at birth or during the first weeks of life, are benign vascular tumors with an initial proliferative phase and a later involutional phase. The massive proliferation on the key regions and unpredicted regression may threaten?life. Thus, early management of infantile hemangiomas is necessary for affected infancies. Recent studies showed that propranolol for infantile hemangiomas had high efficacy for disappearance or reduction of infantile hemangiomas. However, a most recent study demonstrated existence of propranolol-resistant infantile hemangiomas. Therefore, we retrospectively evaluated efficacy of established early pulsed dye laser treatment for infantile hemangiomas in the 50 Japanese infancies which were applied in the period from 2000 to 2005, because our series included from the plaque subtype to the more proliferative tumor subtype. High efficacy in both subtypes suggests that early pulsed dye laser treatment can still be included as the first option for the mixed type of infantile hemangiomas and that pulsed dye laser treatment may be useful as the second line for the propranolol-resistant mixed type of infantile hemangiomas.

pulsed current Micro Plasma Arc Welding is used to joint thin sheets of AISI 304L sheets, which are used in manufacturing of metallic bellows and diaphragms. In this article the effects of pulsing current parameters on weld pool geometry namely front width, back width, front height and back height of pulsed current micro plasma arc welded AISI 304L stainless steel sheets was analyzed. Four factors, five levels, central composite design was used to develop mathematical models, incorporating pulsed current parameters and weld pool geometry. The mathematical models have been developed by Response Surface Method. The adequacy of the models was checked by ANOVA technique. Variation of output responses with input process variables are discussed. By using the developed mathematical models, weld pool geometry parameters can be predicted.

Promotional effects of exogenous stimulation with pulsed electromagnetic fields on skin wound healing in diabetic rats

Objective:The current study aims to identify the effects of exogenous application of pulsed electromagnetic fields on skin wound healing in diabetic rats, and thus provides experimental evidence for its more scientific clinical application in the ***: The diabetic animal models were established via intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin in 4-month-old male rats. Fourth eight rats were randomly assigned into the diabetes group (DM) and diabetes coupled with pulsed electromagnetic fields (DM+PEMF) group. Another 24 normal rats were used as the blank control group (Control). Then, all the rats in the three groups were subjected to dorsal surgery for the establishment of soft tissue wound model (circular wound with the diameter of 2 cm). Then, the rats in the DM+PEMF group were subjected to pulsed electromagnetic fields stimulation. Then, 6 rats in each group were sacrificed at Day 5, 12 and 19 post surgery. The glucose levels, wound closure, wound healing time and tissue tensile strength were examined and ***: pulsed electromagnetic fields significantly increased the wound closure rate in diabetic rats at Day 5, 12 and 19 post surgery, decreased overall wound healing period in diabetic rats, and also enhanced tissue tensile strength in diabetic rats at Day 5, 12 and 19 post ***: Low-intensity pulsed electromagnetic fields can significantly accelerate diabetic wound healing process, and also improve diabetic tissue repair capacity. This study may be helpful for providing more scientific and reasonable experimental evidence for the treatment of pulsed electromagnetic fields on diabetic wound healing in clinics.
