We ask the question if a formula for entropy, as given by with a usual value ascribed of initial entropy of the onset of inflation can allow an order of magnitude resolution of the question of if there could be a survival of a graviton from a prior to the present universe, using typical Planckian peak temperature values of . We obtain values consistent with up to 1038 gravitons contributing to an energy value of if we assume a relic energy contribution based upon each graviton initially exhibiting a frequency spike of 1010 Hz. The value of is picked from looking at the aftermath of what happens if there exists a quantum bounce with a peak density value of [1] in a regime of LQG bounce regime radii of the order of magnitude of meters. The author, in making estimates specifically avoids using ,?by setting the chemical potential for ultra high temperatures for reasons which will be brought up in the conclusion.

3D object detection is one of the most challenging research tasks in computer vision. In order to solve the problem of template information dependency of 3D object proposal in the method of 3D object detection based on 2.5D information, we proposed a 3D object detector based on fusion of vanishing point and prior orientation, which estimates an accurate 3D proposal from 2.5D data, and provides an excellent start point for 3D object classification and localization. The algorithm first calculates three mutually orthogonal vanishing points by the Euler angle principle and projects them into the pixel coordinate system. Then, the top edge of the 2D proposal is sampled by the preset sampling pitch, and the first one vertex is taken. Finally, the remaining seven vertices of the 3D proposal are calculated according to the linear relationship between the three vanishing points and the vertices, and the complete information of the 3D proposal is obtained. The experimental results show that this proposed method improves the Mean Average Precision score by 2.7% based on the Amodal3Det method.

Admissibility of Bayes estimate with inaccurate prior in surveying adjustment

Based on the concept of admissibility in statistics, a definition of generalized admissibility of Bayes estimates has been given at first, which was with inaccurate prior for the application in surveying adjustment. Then according to the definition, the generalized admissibility of the normal linear Bayes estimate with the inaccurate prior information that contains deviations or model errors, as well as how to eliminate the effect of the model error on the Bayes estimate in surveying adjustment were studied. The results show that if the prior information is not accurate, that is, it contains model error, the generalized admissibility can explain whether the Bayes estimate can be accepted or not. For the case of linear normal Bayes estimate, the Bayes estimate can be made generally admissible by giving a less prior weight if the prior information is inaccurate. Finally an example was given.

The present study was conducted to study the effect of feed restriction prior to slaughter on carcass weight of male broiler chicks from 32 to 40 days of age. A total number of 180 (Pure line) male broiler chicks were taken randomly, labeled and divided into six groups. At 32 days of age, the experimental groups were put under the experimental feeding program. Group A fed ad libitum (control) while group B and C fed 120, 60 gm/bird/day for eight days, respectively. Group D and E fed 120, 60 gm/bird/day for four days respectively, followed by zero feeding for an extra 4 days. Group F deprived of food during the whole experimental period (8 days). The experimental diet was formulated to be approximately iso caloric-iso nitrogenous containing sorghum, groundnut cake, broiler concentrate, calcium, salt, lysine, methionine, and premix. The parameters taken were live body weight, feed intake, mortality, carcass, and non-carcass values. The effect of feed restriction program on male broiler chicks was not significant during the period from 32 to 34 days of age for parameters final live body weight, carcass weight, and dressing percentage, but net weight (gain or loss) was affected by feed restriction program and showed a significant difference (P < 0.01) between experimental groups. From 32 to 36 days of age male broilers subjected to feed restriction regimes showed the lowest reading for final live body weight, net weight (gain or loss) and carcass weight and the difference were significant (P 0.05) between experimental groups for dressing percentage during period from32 to 36 days of age. At the period from 32 to 38 days and the period from 32 to 40 days of age, all parameters were significantly affected by feed restriction program. It was concluded that carcass weight of broiler chickens can be controlled using different options of feed restriction programs according to the need of the market and the producer situation with special consideration to the economic return.

In Bayesian analysis, the maximum entropy prior is commonly used. But in some cases, the maximum entropy prior does not exist or has unpleasant jumps, In this paper, Fisher-information is used to measure the divergence and to derive the unknown prior. To a certain degree, this measure overcomes the shortcomings of the maximum entropy. The Fisher prior aways exists and it is continuous under the general requirements.

Travel time reliability(TTR) modeling has gain attention among researchers’ due to its ability to represent road user satisfaction as well as providing a predictability of a trip travel time.Despite this significant effort,its impact on the severity of a crash is not well explored.This study analyzes the effect of TTR and other variables on the probability of the crash severity occurring on arterial roads.To address the unobserved heterogeneity problem,two random-effect regressions were applied;the Dirichlet random-effect(DRE)and the traditional random-effect(TRE) logistic regression.The difference between the two models is that the random-effect in the DRE is non-parametrically specified while in the TRE model is parametrically specified.The Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulations were adopted to infer the parameters’ posterior distributions of the two developed models.Using four-year police-reported crash data and travel speeds from Northeast Florida,the analysis of goodness-of-fit found the DRE model to best fit the data.Hence,it was used in studying the influence of TTR and other variables on crash severity.The DRE model findings suggest that TTR is statistically significant,at 95 percent credible intervals,influencing the severity level of a crash.A unit increases in TTR reduces the likelihood of a severe crash occurrence by 25 percent.Moreover,among the significant variables,alcohol/drug impairment was found to have the highest impact in influencing the occurrence of severe crashes.Other significant factors included traffic volume,weekends,speed,work-zone,land use,visibility,seatbelt usage,segment length,undivided/divided highway,and age.

This paper develops the Bayesian empirical likelihood (BEL) method and the BEL vari-able selection for linear regression models with censored data.Empirical likelihood is a multivariate analysis tool that has been widely applietl to many fieltls such as biomed-ical and social sciences.By introducing two special priors to the empirical likelihood function,we find two obvious superiorities of the BEL methods,that is (i) more precise coverage probabilities of the BEL credible region and (ii) higher accuracy and correct identification rate of the BEL model selection using an hierarchical Bayesian models vs.some current methods such as the LASSO,A LASSO and SCAD.The numerical simu-lations and empirical analysis of two data examples show strong competitiveness of the proposed method.
