The expected growth of the elderly population at highest risk for Parkinson’s disease(PD)in the next decades makes the identification of factors that promote or prevent the disease an important goal.In addition,new therapies-aiming to delay the progression of PD are also needed(Prediger,2010).However,there have been few clinical trials designed to investigate neuroprotection.Thus the application of an appropriate in vitro model such as the neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cell line is extremely helpful.These cells were selected due to its human origin,catecholaminergic neuronal properties,and ease of maintenance(Xicoy et al.,2017).

The preliminary design and parametric study of 1400 m partially earth-anchored cable-stayed bridge are described. Static per-formance of this new type of bridge is discussed. Compared with fully self-anchored cable-stayed bridge, its advantages in fin-ished state are summarized. Based on numerical calculation, effects of several structural parameters on static performance are presented.

Online reactivity monitoring plays an important role in operation and safety analyses of fission reactor systems. The inverse kinetics method, which is based on a point kinetics model, is the most widely used method for reactivity reconstruction of critical water reactors. However, this method is seldom applied to the reactivity reconstruction of subcritical reactors. In this study, an inverse kinetics method was employed for the reactivity reconstruction of a lead-based reactor under different initial reactivity states(ρ_0= 0,-2786,-5486,-8367, and-12,371 pcm). The results showed that the deviation in the reactivity of the lead-based subcritical reactor was greater when ρ_0 became smaller. The reactivity reconstructed using the inverse kinetics method was globally underestimated. At a given reactivity perturbation, the relative and absolute errors increased with the decrease in the initial reactivity. At a given initial reactivity, with the increase in the reactivity perturbation, the absolute error increased, whereas the relative error remained the same.This deviation is due to the variation in the external neutron source, spatial-spectral effects, and sub-diffusive effects, which require further study.

Scorpion toxins are a family of small neurotoxic proteins with high selectivity. Gener-ally, most of the toxins are a group of basic homologous polypeptides containing about60—80 amino acids except BmK Ⅳ whose pl is 5.3. It has been reported that theybind to various ion channels with high affinity and selectivity. In spite of the significantsequence similarity found among different toxins, they display various degrees of toxicityand specificity to different animal species. So far they form a good system to study thestructure-function relationship.

To detect and estimate a shift in either the mean and the deviation or both for the preliminary analysis, the statistical process control (SPC) tool, the control chart based on the likelihood ratio test (LRT), is the most popular method. Sullivan and woodall pointed out the test statistic lrt(n1, n2) is approximately distributed as x2(2) as the sample size n,n1 and n2 are very large, and the value of n1 = 2,3,..., n - 2 and that of n2 = n - n1. So it is inevitable that n1 or n2 is not large. In this paper the limit distribution of lrt(n1, n2) for fixed n1 or n2 is figured out, and the exactly analytic formulae for evaluating the expectation and the variance of the limit distribution are also obtained. In addition, the properties of the standardized likelihood ratio statistic slr(n1, n) are discussed in this paper. Although slr(n1, n) contains the most important information, slr(i, n)(i≠n1) also contains lots of information. The cumulative sum (CUSUM) control chart can obtain more information in this condition. So we propose two CUSUM control charts based on the likelihood ratio statistics for the preliminary analysis on the individual observations. One focuses on detecting the shifts in location in the historical data and the other is more general in detecting a shift in either the location and the scale or both. Moreover, the simulated results show that the proposed two control charts are, respectively, superior to their competitors not only in the detection of the sustained shifts but also in the detection of some other out-of-control situations considered in this paper.

Nimodipine, produced in China, was applied to lower the blood pressure (BP) in 20 cases in craniocerebral operation. 0.02% solution of Nimodipine was dripped intravenously (by 0.02% of density), at a preliminary speed of 600-800 μg / min, and 4-12 mg of total dose. Mean arterial pressure (MAP) decreased and maintained at 7.3-8.0 kPa, and lasted 30-60 minutes. The scopes of decreasing pressure were 33.0%-37.7% of MAP, 31.6%-35.6% of systolic pressure (SP), and 36.1%-41.9% of diastolic pressure (DP). The re suits of lowering pressure which reduced the intraoperative bleeding were significant. After withdrawal of drug supply for 15-30 minutes, the BP raised up to the normal level. No "rebounding BP rise" occurred.
