Study on Soil and Pine-Seedling Zn and Mn and predicting-model Design

Soils were collected from 2-year (2-y) and 3-year (3-y) old red-pine seedling plots in two tree nurseries, Hayward in the north and Wilson in the southwestern part of Wisconsin State respectively, and equilibrated with 0.01 M Ca(NO3)2 for soil solution Zn and Mn (solu-Zn and Mn), and with 0.01 M Ca(NO3)2+0.005 M EDTA for soil adsorbed Zn and Mn (ad-Zn and Mn). Buffering capacity of soil Zn and Mn (b-Zn and Mn) was obtained from the ratio of ad-Zn and Mn to the solu-Zn and Mn. The concerned traces in pine seedling needles (ndls), stems(sts) and roots (rts) were simultaneously measured. The results obtained show that:About 60% of solu- and ad- Zn ranged from 0.2 to 0.4 and from 1 to 2μ/g soil respectively. About 70% of b-Zn was within) *** highest content of solu-Zn compared with the lowest showed a discrepancy of more than 10-fold. The two forms of soil Zn were commonly higher in Wilson than in Hayward *** 80% of solu-, ad- and b-Mn were within 3-10, 5-5.8 μg/ g soil and 1-2 respectively. Influence of low buffering capacity on solu-Zn and Mn was about 20 times stronger than that of the *** E-value, a ratio of accumulated Zn and Mn in needles to those in the soil solution, is proved to be: E-Zn > E-Mn;E-sts> E-ndls or E-rts; and E-2y > *** and/ or linear correlations between soil solu-, ad- and b-Zn and Mn and ndls-, sts-, rts-Zn and Mn were at very significant or significant *** predicting ndls-Zn and Mn, two realizable and simple models from two regression equations were established through the selection of related parameters and dependent variables. Binary regression analysis basically eliminated the influence of soil pH on the prediction of Zn and Mn in needles. Soil pH was thus thought to be excluded from the model.

BACKGROUND Integrating conventional ultrasound features with 2D shear wave elastography(2D-SWE)can potentially enhance preoperative hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)*** To develop a 2D-SWE-based predictive model for preoperative identification of *** A retrospective analysis of 884 patients who underwent liver resection and pathology evaluation from February 2021 to August 2023 was conducted at the Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery *** patients were divided into the modeling group(n=720)and the control group(n=164).The study included conventional ultrasound,2D-SWE,and preoperative laboratory *** logistic regression was used to identify independent predictive factors for RESULTS In the modeling group analysis,maximal elasticity(Emax)of tumors and their peripheries,platelet count,cirrhosis,and blood flow were independent risk indicators for *** factors yielded an area under the curve of 0.77(95%confidence interval:0.73-0.81)with 84%sensitivity and 61%*** model demonstrated good calibration in both the construction and validation cohorts,as shown by the calibration graph and Hosmer-Lemeshow test(P=0.683 and P=0.658,respectively).Additionally,the mean elasticity(Emean)of the tumor periphery was identified as a risk factor for microvascular invasion(MVI)in malignant liver tumors(P=0.003).Patients receiving antiviral treatment differed significantly in platelet count(P=0.002),Emax of tumors(P=0.033),Emean of tumors(P=0.042),Emax at tumor periphery(P<0.001),and Emean at tumor periphery(P=0.003).CONCLUSION 2D-SWE’s hardness value serves as a valuable marker for enhancing the preoperative diagnosis of malignant liver lesions,correlating significantly with MVI and antiviral treatment efficacy.

Background Neoadjuvant chemoradiation is now considered the standard care for locally advanced rectal carcinoma （T3-4 or/and N1-2 lesions）, but the accuracy of staging examinations including endorectal ultrasonography （ERUS） and MRI is far from excellent. In addition, the above staging equipment or professionals who perform the examinations may not be available in some hospitals, while preoperative colonoscopy and biopsy are usually obtainable in most *** objective of the present study was to investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of locally advanced rectal carcinoma and identify candidates for neoadjuvant *** This was a retrospective study. Patients who were treated for rectal cancer at Changhai Hospital from January 1999 to July 2008 were identified from our prospectively collected database. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS Software System （version 15.0）. The Mann-Whitney test, chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed,Results A total of 1005 cases were included in this research, of which 761 cases were identified as locally advanced rectal carcinoma depending on postoperative TNM staging. The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated seven independent risk factors that could be used to predict a locally advanced rectal carcinoma independently： a high grade （including poor differentiation and undifferentiation）（OR： 3.856; 95% CI： 2.064 to 7.204;P=0.000）; large tumor size （OR： 2.455; 95% CI： 1.755 to 3.436; P=0.000）; elevated preoperative serum CEA level （OR：1.823; 95% CI： 1.309 to 2.537; P=0.000）; non-polypoid tumor type （OR： 1.758; 95% CI： 1.273 to 2.427; P=0.001）; the absence of synchronous polyps （OR： 1.602; 95% CI： 1.103 to 2.327; P=0.013）; the absence of blood in stool （OR： 1.659;95% CI： 1.049 to 2.624; P=0.030）; and a greater circumferential tumor extent （OR： 1.813; 95% CI： 1.055 to 3,113;P=0.031）. Background:Rebleeding can cause a catastrophic outcome after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.A clinical+morphology nomogram was promoted in our previous study to assist in discriminating the rupture intracranial aneurysms(RIAs)with a high risk of *** aim of this study was to validate the predictive accuracy of this nomogram ***:The patients with RIAs in two medical centers from December 2020 to September 2021 were retrospectively reviewed,whose clinical and morphological parameters were *** Cox regression model was employed to identify the risk factors related to rebleeding after their *** predicting accuracy of clinical+morphological nomogram,ELAPSS score and PHASES score was compared based on the area under the curves(AUCs).Results:One hundred thirty-eight patients with RIAs were finally included in this study,20 of whom suffering from rebleeding after ***(hazard ratio(HR),2.54;a confidence interval of 95%(CI),1.01-6.40;P=0.047),bifurcation(HR,3.88;95%CI,1.29-11.66;P=0.016),and AR(HR,2.68;95%CI,1.63-4.41;Ppredicting accuracy(AUC,0.939,P<0.01),followed by the bifurcation(AUC,0.735,P=0.001),AR(AUC,0.666,P=0.018),and ELAPSS score(AUC,0.682,P=0.009).Hypertension(AUC,0.693,P=0.080)or PHASES score(AUC,0.577,P=0.244)could not be used to predict the risk of rebleeding after *** calibration curve for the probability of rebleeding showed a good agreement between the prediction through clinical+morphological nomogram and actual ***:Hypertension,bifurcation site,and AR were independent risk factors related to the rebleeding of RIAs after *** clinical+morphological nomogram could help doctors to identify the high-risk RIAs with a high predictive accuracy.

This paper presents investigations of bankruptcy predicting models which can be useful for external users of a financial statement. Only the methods of financial analysis for insolvency prediction, useful on the basis of financial statements, were investigated. The paper studied the influence of insolvency on the development of the Latvian Economy, including such relevant points： dynamics of number of insolvency cases in Latvia, data of the payment discipline of debts, tax liabilities of the insolvent companies, dynamics of unemployment support payments. Empirical investigations shows that only Altman＇s Z＇＂ and Fulmer＇s H models demonstrate accuracy above 80% in all analyzed business sectors and they are applicable for Latvian companies. The other models are useful to some particular business sector.
