The potential functions of the F-S model for ordered high-temperature intermetallic compound NiAl with a B2 structure are constructed by fitting the lattice constant,cohesive energy and the bulk modulus.And by using the pressure-volume (P-V) relation proposed by Rose et al,the potential functions are modified further.Based on the potentials and also for a testing of the potentials,the point defects properties have been studied by the molecular dynamics method.

Assume that the characteristic indexαof stable distribution satisfies 1point estimators for stable distribution withαor scale parameterβshift.For the one case that mean is a known constant,ifαorβchanges,then density function will change too.To this end,we suppose the kernel estimation for a change point.For the other case that mean is an unknown constant,we suppose to apply empirical characteristic function to estimate the change-point location.In the two cases,we consider the consistency and strong convergence rate of estimators.Furthermore,we consider the mean shift case.If mean changes,then corresponding characteristic function will change too.To this end,we also apply empirical characteristic function to estimate change point.We obtain the similar convergence rate.Finally,we consider its application on the detection of mean shift in financial market.

In studying a dynamical system, one finds that there frequently exist some kinds of disturbance or false phenomenon. In order to remove them, we introduce a concept of the measure centre and in order to determine the structure of the measure centre, we also introduce another concept of the weakly almost periodic point. We totally determine the structure of the measure centre and exhibit an example to show that the measure centre may be contained properly in the motion centre and there is a system which is chaotic on the nonwandering set but has zero topological entropy.

In this paper, we establish a theoretical framework of path-following interior point al- gorithms for the linear complementarity problems over symmetric cones (SCLCP) with the Cartesian P*(κ)-property, a weaker condition than the monotonicity. Based on the Nesterov-Todd, xy and yx directions employed as commutative search directions for semidefinite programming, we extend the variants of the short-, semilong-, and long-step path-following algorithms for symmetric conic linear programming proposed by Schmieta and Alizadeh to the Cartesian P*(κ)-SCLCP, and particularly show the global convergence and the iteration complexities of the proposed algorithms.

In this paper,we consider the existence,nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions for two-point boundary value problems of p-Laplacian systems which have a singular indefinite weight and real multiparameters.For proofs,we mainly make use of the upper and lower solution method and the fixed point index theorem.To obtain a global multiplicity result,we construct a weighted space to benefit richer topology of the solution space than C 0-space.

Single index models are widely used in medicine, econometrics and some other fields. In this paper, we consider the inference of a change point problem in single index models. Based on density-weighted average derivative estimation (ADE) method, we propose a statistic to test whether a change point exists or not. The null distribution of the test statistic is obtained using a permutation technique. The permuted statistic is rigorously shown to have the same distribution in the limiting sense under both null and alternative hypotheses. After the null hypothesis of no change point is rejected, an ADE-based estimate of the change point is proposed under assumption that the change point is unique. A simulation study confirms the theoretical results.

The 33 ku protein, prepared from NaCI-treated PSII particles, has shown an single band by SDS-PAGE. After being dialyzed against the low-osmotic medium at 4癈, it has been found that the 33 ku protein degraded into several small fragments. This result suggests that the preparations of 33 ku protein probably contain some latent proteinases. it has also been found, by the 2-D electrophoresis and IEF, that the preparations of 33 ku protein not dialyzed against the low-osmotic medium contain several polypeptides with nearly the same molecular weight but not the same isoelectric point as the 33 ku protein.
