Background:Inflammation-associated markers have proven to be prognostic factors in multiple myeloma(MM) ***,few studies have been performed on novel agent treated MM ***,we aim to assess the prognostic significance of inflammation-associated markers including neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR),lymphocyte to monocyte ratio(LMR),platelets to lymphocyte ratio(PLR) and red blood cell distribution width(RDW) in multiple myeloma patients who were treated with novel agents,and compare their relative prognostic *** and Methods:Patients diagnosed with MM from May 2010 to May 2015 were collected in this *** chisquare test was used to evaluate relationships between the markers and other clinic pathological variables;the Kaplan–Meier method was used to analyze the recurrence-free survival(RFS) and overall survival(OS);and the Cox proportional hazards models were used for univariate and multivariate analyses of variables related to RFS and ***:Higher NLR and lower LMR were significantly associated with higher *** RDW were significantly associated with females,lower hemoglobin concentrations and higher *** was significantly decreased in MM patients with older age,higher NLR,higher RDW and lower *** was significantly decreased in patients with older age,higher RDW and lower ***,in multivariate analyses,PLR and RDW were identified to be an independent prognostic factor of both RFS and OS,and RDW was a stable and time-independent prognostic ***:Our study suggests that PLR and RDW are potential prognostic factors in MM treated with novel agentcontaining regimen,and RDW maybe a more stable prognostic *** studies are required to ascertain the association of RDW and prognosis in novel agent-treated MM.
